The reason they have the warning labels on those authentic helmets is because even though you can wear it, its not intended or safe to use on the field. You can actually say authentic helmets are just a replica also but better version of a replica helmet. The ones that are field use are the riddell speed flex helmets. There is a company called Green Gridiron that does make riddell speed flex helmets but keep in mind the NFL doesn't sale authentic team decals to anyone. All the decals out there are replicas.
That's interesting. I have an authentic Dolphins helmet from 2001. It's the Riddell VSR4 and you can inflate/deflate the padding. Would this style still be considered a replica or would have been certified for game use back in the day?
@@Paul_Davies77 It's pretty easy to figure out because any official helmet from the NFL will have a sticker with a number on it on the inside of the helmet. Most people don't know but one of the reasons why all helmets out there that are signed, won, or bought are replicas because the NFL doesn't let anyone use official decals. I think this video will better explain it. th-cam.com/video/a3WPCQt6hIM/w-d-xo.html
Hey great video man, I just picked up the midnight green replica authentic. Not a huge fan of how the decal overlaps the gap there but it's pretty sick. I want a kelly green for sure but might wait to see if they update it in the coming years, I feel like with the reception it's going to be here to stay
are you going to pick up the salute to service one? that brown on black is so sick this year. wish the nfl had 2 weeks of teams using that color wave. like afc wears white one week nfc wears brown and swap the following week haha
