We will make the cutest little Easter decoration together. This is an easy crochet project, great for people that are fairly new to amigurumi. You'll need scrap amounts of yarn in pastels, light yellow, black and orange; G hook; fiber fill; tapestry needle. Great project. Thanks for demystifying crochet and making it fun. But was does decreasing actually mean, are you skipping a loop?

Thank you and I'm so glad to hear this! No, when you decrease, don't skip a loop. I made this mistake when I first started crocheting, but it leaves a gap. Another way to think of it (and sometimes you'll see this) is sc2tog (single crochet 2 together). So you insert the hook into the following loop, draw up a loop (2 loops on hook), insert the hook into the next loop and draw up another loop, then yarn over and draw through all the loops on the hook. Maybe I need to do a quick video. Let me know if this helps.

@@FatLadyCrochet I think so. I went back to your first how to do a 24 loop dish cloth to practice a bit and I think I can follow your instructions.

@@FatLadyCrochet so when you decrease it’s because you’ve had three loops together making it slightly smaller and tighter.

I also watched your finger crochet and am excited to try that. Do you think I could finger crochet long strands and then net macrame them simply to make a plant hanger?

@@christines2016 Yes, it seems to prevent a gap by adding a stitch in the place where you're decreasing.
