i really wish i could put those people thru this, so they know how it feels. Because I have been thru trainee periods, and honestly, we do that to each other, sometimes u need someone to pressure u, so u break some barriers.
Rather than feeling sorry for Gabi I think we should admire her drive and dedication. Because when you feel sorry for her it paints her as a victim and Fatou as an agressor. When, if you are really being honest she wasn't up to standard and was making excuses. Fatou was calm and straightforward. Gabi worked hard and took on the criticism. Fatou's leadership is solid and trustworthy (the CEO didn’t even bother to tell the geoup what was wrong he only told Fatou because he knew she'd get the work done lol) But I also want to praise Gabi's attitude, it wasn’t shown in this episode cut but she later admitted Fatou was right and followed all her advices. As someone who used to dance I know how hard it is mentally to see everyone else around you succeed to do something you struggle with and to be the only one getting critics. Even if you know your teacher/leader is right it still feels humiliating and makes you wonder "What is wrong with me?". Compared to the other members Gabi has a lot of weaknesses but she make up for them with her determination and her humbleness. I hope she will continue to have a mature attitude like that!

You can see in this clip that what was being focused on was dance(I don't know why you are focusing on vocals). We also don't know what happens Behind the scenes. We got to see ONE practice session and during this session, Gabi was the one that needed more help. But you also get to see during this episode that both Nvee and Gabi stayed behind (as the weakest dancers) and Fatou (to help and ensure that the girls don't get ppl like you in the comments talking bout horrible performances). gabi has evolved very much , we know she is working hard , and we know fatou will not let her fall apart , she will carry her together as she is doing now.
Fatou is admirable because she's doing what needs to be done. She's willing to be the strict bad guy for the sake of the group and Gabi herself. She deserves a pat on the back for doing the right thing because it wasn't the first time that Gabi didn't practice.
gabi is like the fav child of fatou whom she wants to be best, just like a mom supports the weakest one more. gabi is an absoulute queen when it comes to singing , even i consider the beat live vocalist in the group , her voice is same on and off stage . she is amazing just needs to some finishing on her swiftness and her control over her body, she'd be perfect. Vocals are hard for sriya but she too is working on it, all in all , i am never dissappointed whenever i see them on stage , they always improve 2x with each performance.
I remember when the first iteration of this group happened with that mixed member, and it came out how she was intentionally limited to the background and only allowed to rap. It's heartwarming to see how far they've come to where now their literal leader is fully black and is not someone just thrown in there for experiment or gimmick. She really works hard and helps everyone to be better.
Fatou is a good leader who understands that there is a lot of pressure on them. Especially since they are foreign idols they have to work even harder than Korean idols. Netizens judge foreign idols more harshly and I think that adds difficulty.

Ela em momento algum foi rude com a Gabi, é o papel dela como líder do grupo chamar a atenção da menina por algo que a própria Gabi admitiu estar fazendo errado. Isso mostra o quanto que a Fatou é exigente com seu trabalho e busca sim fazer algo bem feito em termos de performance. Chamar atenção sobre o trabalho e dar um toque sobre como que parece que a Gabi não tem ensaiado, não é algo rude/grosseiro/ruim de modo algum. People who try to leave Fatou as a "Bad person" "Bossy" or that she "Hates Gabi", imagine being the leader of a work team in which everything has to be in order and at one moment you have YOUR BOSS in front of you watching every second of what you do in your work, but one of your colleagues is doing things wrong, and on top of that your boss tells you "Solve this problem or we won't be able to publish your work until months later", you have a big stress, a pressure that is literally stabbing you in the back of the neck. Besides, both the CEO and Fatou were trying to avoid criticisms towards Gabi that would affect her, what criticisms? "That she's lazy, she can't dance, the only good thing she has is her face, what's a latina doing in a kpop group? that's why she's doing things wrong," etc. That will end up leading to criticism of the group as a whole.
Fatou held Gabi accountable she should have practiced but skipped it and Gabi held herself accountable by not making excuses and worked to fix it thats teamwork

I'd want Fatou to be my leader. Even though she was rightfully disappointed, she tried to keep her patience and was not too harsh. I fully support Fatou because the group will suffer if she is too lenient. She is correct that there are no mirrors on stage. Being a leader is not easy; you do all the heavy lifting and receive no praise but all blame. BTS has repeatedly mentioned this about RM, which is why they love and respect him so much-they understand his burden. J-Hope is a strict dance leader, and everyone respects him. So why is Fatou questioned or criticized for doing her job well and expecting the other members to do their part? Fatou was right to hold Gabi accountable. Everyone is responsible for practicing. If Gabi is not doing what she's supposed to, and the group comes together to practice, it holds everyone back. Fatou was not yelling; she was stern, which is necessary for her message to be taken seriously. Gabi must remember that their group will always be held to a higher standard because they are foreigners. Fatou will be held to a higher standard because she is also black. There's so much of a double standard here.

Fatou is a great leader, not even once during this video did I think she was being too harsh. Gabi didn't train for long and I'm not hating on her but she needs all the practice she can get, that's why Fatou had to give her a heads up to keep up with her practice. They went out to eat and gabi and nvee stayed late to practice, Fatou also stayed late and helped them till very early in the morning, they got there eventually and Fatou praised them. The next day Fatou and Gabi went out for ice cream and spoke about how they balance their work and their friendship. They were very mature and both agreed that it was Fatou's job to be strict in the dance room but once they leave she's just a friend to them.
