I love that whenever you review boots, you give your take on where they work best, and with what clothes or situations. Really helps out people like me who are a bit new to higher quality boots so don’t have the experience to apply to them
Just picked up my first pair of Heritage boots, the Iron Rangers. So far I'm loving them but already looking into my next boot. This is at the top of the list and most likely what I'll be picking up as I love the rugged look of them and that color is gorgeous, thank you for the great review, Teik!
Another great video, sir! I always appreciate your warm enthusiasm and elucidation of the boot-making craft. You make me want to purchase more boots! Thank you for all that you do.
Hey Teik, I love this video and your style in general - these boots are beautiful! I was wondering if you would consider reviewing the Thursday Heros in waxed flesh - the only waxed flesh leathers I see are generally Horween, so I'm interested in what Thursday's propietary waxed flesh is like. I also don't think I've seen your take on the stormking outsoles from Thursday, and I just appreciate your point of view so much that I'd like to see your take on this different boot.
Great review with good information. I'm not sure how I feel about Truman boots classifying themselves as PNW boots. I can't find much on how they are built. It's obvious to me how White's, Nick's, JK, and Franks have a shared lineage and build style. Even Wesco and Viberg, but I live in Spokane so the former brands are more familiar to me. In my opinion, one of the things that defines a PNW boot is the heel support and how it really supports and locks in your heel. And leather. lot's of leather, no cork. Is Truman really a Pacific Northwest boot? I'm not so sure.
These boots are certainly different than their current models on the 79 last. I quite like the more slender toe area -- seems a tad classier whilst still having a work boot vibe to them. I do however like the stitch method on the newer ones as opposed to the older stitch down. I want my boots to be resolable without the risk of having my boot shredded with holes. I am currently waiting on my Black Waxed Blackout edition they have on sale at the moment. Based on one of your videos where you mentioned your Brannock to Truman sizing, I was able to assuredly get the right size, appreciate that! Love the Channel -- keep the videos coming Teik!
Very nice looking boot! Looks very similar to the Thursday Logger boot but with a better shape and design overall. Probably worth the extra money if you can afford it. I love waxed flesh out leather. It looks so good new and ruffed up. Great video!

These would be nice on the 20 last. Thanks for the review!

I like that the toe isn't bulbous like RW's.
Great video! I wish they would do unstructured toe option! . Surely it’s not that hard to give the customer that option. Keep up the videos

Some very good points! Geography does not a heritage make 😉

The difference other than the stitch down is the structured toe,you can order without.
Great video though !
Your boots are very beautiful. How can I buy this boot. Can you tell me
The website is in the description below the video
Do you recommend to get the same size as an iron ranger, blacksmith?
All of my Truman are in the same size as IR and Blacksmith
