I used to live in Rockville, and vacationed in San Diego.
California is now going to the dogs. I live in Loudoun County (NoVA) and would never consider CA again. Yeah, the weather there is better in CA, but that is the ONLY advantage. Cost of living is absurd there, as is the traffic, rents, and homelessness.

California native. Moved to Columbia MD for work when I was 21, lived there for 8 years and hated every moment of it. California politics is pretty garbage, but it's infinitely better living than MD. MD got terrible geography, it snows, and the only thing they think they got going for it is "Old Bay" lmao. For a state that claims they are good at seafood, they got the smallest crabs I ever. Don't get me started on the trees in MD. They're all dead sticks lmao. Who loves 2 lane freeways? Nobody but people in MD lmao. Want to go snowboarding or hike in the mountains? Good luck with that, the Appalachian's are flat as heck!Glad I'm back in Cali, but I'm thinking of moving to Hawaii in the near future.
PS: good video. I'm glad you are a fan of your state. These are all my opinions, and my opinions sometimes suck :)

I’m from Annapolis and love Maryland I like getting all 4 seasons and going to Ocean city is fun I love going to western Maryland and seeing the mountains and the diversity is awesome but California is known to be overrated, overpriced, and weather is crazy I always hear about earthquakes and just earlier today there was a rouge wave in Ventura so CA does have some cons.

all you spoke here, with all due respect were EXTREMELY bias! I live in MD, I lived in CA and I am going bac to Cali for sure.
    1. We have many groceries there too ))) 2. Much bigger economy opportunities in LA or SF Bay area. CA is home to plenty of Fortune 500 companies and world class start ups, and name me one from MD. You may be happy with your husband's job offer in bio sciences but not everyone is involved in biology or IT for CA. People need simple jobs too and CA has way more to offer than MD (funny even to compare). 3. Humid here is much more than you described. People really suffer here during summer time because of humid, bugs, mosquitos etc. and there is no way to stop them. Pest controls are useless. Maryland is below the sea level and annoying wind will make you crazy often times than you expect. 4. Diversity is even incomparable with CA. People from ALL over the world come and visit CA just as tourist. Who for God's sake visit MD? Who knows about the state of MD in the world? The most famous in DMV area is DC even that city is not compared to tourist flow to LA, SF, Miami, NYC, Chicago, even Philly. You will feel good in DMV area if you have an excellent 9 to 5 work schedule or you work for federal government. For any business minded person DMV area is a trap. If you can tolerate heat go to Texas, go to Florida, go to NY, to Illinois but not to DMV area. NOTHING HERE! 5. Every state has its good school district and I am shocked that how you were bias naming Montgomery county school system but not Palo Alto or Tri Valley area schools. CA schools are great and there is no logical explanation of k-12 MD and higher education in CA. For example, MA has also perfect higher institution offers. MD has nothing in terms of this. Absolutely nothing. Excluding Johns Hopkins, all the rest below average.

San Diego should break off from California. It's like an Austin of Texas. In that it's so different in thinking and environment compared to rest of CA.
