Writing this into a Dark magician deck can be ridiculously powerful and switching them to a support role for Dark Magician could be maddening to the opponent lol.
Always love seeing your takes on Witchcrafter, one of my favorite decks for sure! Have you played around with Instant Fusion? With Vice Madame you're also really benefitting from the restricts as materials once their effects have been used :D
And great to see you around! haha I actually did a bit! I do like the idea of using MER especially since it's another way to out Ash. The biggest problem is Instant Fusion being Limited makes it appear so infrequently that I just don't like the 1 slot in the Extra for it. It's not like this deck has the tightest Extra per se, but still just a preference thing. I think I'd say I'm at around 65% liking it (with 50% being neutral) but would really need a good reason to push it higher right now. I can see it working well, tho! :)
@@JDGamingYGO haha that's fair! Yea one of's always feel weird if you have to change the extra (or even main) for it atm I don't really have another deck that benefits better from having Millennium-Eyes so I thought I'd tuck it in there :D
@@Thrust216 It honestly probably helps a good deal when you do see it. And I really like Spells that can be turned into Spellcasters in this deck (things like Creation/Holiday). Vice-Madame really made those kinds of cards extra useful.
Its been awhile since I seen or thought about this strategy. I remember being disappointed at the time about the fusion wave of support but this build looks good I'm intrigued. I remember the fusion support wasn't fixing the problems with witchcrafters and also having a fusion monster means you kind of want to play more monsters to not have too low of a monster count which can brick witchcrafters. Anyways glad you revisited this strategy and I hope it does well for you and it's nice to see the support is better than I remember. It's a shame foolish burial goods is limited in master duel as well because I wanted to build a Silent magician deck since i was also using the magician's hand package and also the silent magician search card needs to be in gy to search, I wonder what deck got it limited? Very cool deck profile!
I definitely had the same response to the Fusion support at first haha It's still a delicate balance trying to have 2 Witchcrafters and not more, but fortunately, the deck has some flexibility with so many Spells like Creation and Holiday that stand in for Monsters when needed. That's quite unfortunate :/ Hard to say exactly what did it. It could have been odd Tear lists running it for their Scream/Cryme/Suliek/Rainbow Bridge of Salvation, or it could have just been time with how S/T have generally received more relevant GY effects over the years and FBG limits potential future design. Regardless of the reason, it's never fun when it's a collateral hit 😅
Your examples for possible interruptions doesn’t effect the regular Witchcrafters because they all have quick effects so once they are targeted they can tribute themselves to dodge and still pop off
Exactly! I said at 10:24 that Ash Blossom specifically sucks - the fact that you have quick effects for your "tribute - summon another guy" effects (referring to the main monsters) lets you *dodge* the cards I put on the screen that target. But Ash Blossom is played around by using Unveiling. It also protects your Vice-Madame and other Spellcasters who don't have the ability to jump out of the way :)
Thanks a lot! 😄 Honestly, Cartesia is probably good, just under-explored for me because of her price at the moment and the realistic potential cap of this deck. Never even thought of using the Fusion Deployment package in Witchcrafter with her, but I think it’s worth experimenting with!
Great to see you around! haha So Cartesia is definitely more efficient. The considerations that I have (not necessarily ones that make it unplayable) are: (1) Expensive (temporary problem, but it got so bad) (2) Uses your Normal Summon, which just makes it so you're banking on Vice-Madame to resolve. Not like she won't catch up eventually in resources and you even saved one with Cartesia, but it could be harder to establish multiple Witchcrafter bosses simultaneously before your opponent gets their first move (3) Even with 3 copies of Cartesia, you're still only going to see it as often as you see one of them. Could play Prosperity and such, but even then, I felt using the main WC engine was a more consistent (albeit fragile to Ash) way to get to VM. I definitely would not fault the use of Cartesia. It seems like a solid option!
@@JDGamingYGO I see, thanks for the insight. She's gonna be released in just a couple of days on Master duel, so I'll get the chance to give her a try there
Only because you mentioned it, I looked around and see some lists, but I don't see the actual synergy. Yes, Enchantress is a Spellcaster, but you won't usually be Fusing her since she'll be banished for effect. And then you do get the usual Gryphon Rider and Dracoback, but you lose access to your Normal Summon's effect, which is way too important in this build imo. Perhaps I'm just missing something and it's doable, but I did see a recent article on Game8 that's incorrect because it's trying to add the WC Spells back freely when needed instead of the End Phase. I'm personally not convinced yet 😅
I do think the Runick idea is an interesting one. It’s unfortunate that there’s only so many Normal Summonable Witchcrafters, and it can hurt to not draw any or Creation
It's a very promising idea. Just like with Branded Despia, you could tribute a Light Lv8 Spellcaster to summon the Dark Dragoon, and it's another Spell with a GY effect (albeit one that's not the easiest to use in Witchcrafter). I'd say it's worth playing around with!
I can’t imagine it costing a whole lot in TCG besides maybe some random staples - the core is cheap. It’s pretty expensive in Master Duel, tho - lots of UR’s, sadly
@@JDGamingYGOI'm new to yugioh what exactly is recommended to shop from the TCG? From the TCG directly or harpenter trades? Or does this not matter at all? Sorry I'm just confused.
@@diamondtheif4007 welcome! Can you help me understand your question so I can best help you? @@JDGamingYGO I know that this deck in particular is cheap by just buying singles. But I'm just confused you see. I use these girls as support in my main spellcaster deck, and vice master quickly became one of the deck's bossess and a hard card to deal with

i find it hard to keep this deck at just 40 cards. perhaps 50 minimum, or you could go 60 with a runick engine.

What do you summon with Metalfoes Fusion, or why is it usefull?
You just discard it for one of the Witchcrafters since it’s a Spell, and then once per turn, you can return it to deck to draw 1. Free discard! :)
