I discovered Acid Jazz Classics during the pandemic and have listened to regularly ever since... It’s set the tone for enjoying the evening, night, afternoon and quiet a few mornings... especially when I’m smoking marijuana... Have a wonderful listen fellow jazz lovers!
A marathon is 42 km, it's really long, are you sur you would be able to run all of it? I know I couldn't, even if I trained for 3 days I think. The longest I ran was 10 km I guess, I was happy after, it felt nice but the next day I had sore legs a little.
I can imagine this playing during one of my parent's cool parties in the 70s. They had a reel-to-reel (look it up youngsters) with hours of Burt Bacharach, Brazil 66/Sergio Mendes, Kingston Trio, Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass, and more playing loud enough for some dancing once the wine started flowing. My parents were white, middle-class suburbanites, but they threw some jammin' parties!
Moved out of Los Angeles over twenty years ago and have never looked back since! Then I came across this mix of Jazz, and I now realize, how much I miss the L.A. "Jazz" music scene!!!

I'm probably mistaken, but isn't "Weather Report" more along the lines of acid jazz than this stuff? I mean I like this stuff, but I thought acid jazz is a couple of notches away from progressive jazz. Just wondering...oh, and I forgot to include John Mclaughlin and the mahavishnu orchestra.

Actually to be honest, same. I just finished Persona 3 but I had intended to go deeper into this genre of music after hearing the Persona 5 soundtrack (I started with 5) I'm hoping 4 has simular music.
In my opinion, Persona 4 has the best soundtrack of any game I've ever heard. There's such different moods in it, that I can't help but relate to the music. The Persona 5 battle themes are also good, but nothing will hold up to the Persona 4 soundtrack for me. Hope you enjoy Persona 4!! I assure you, it's a rollercoaster and a half! :)
