Chicken Little is one of my all time favorite movies despite not being a perfect Disney movie with all of it’s flaws, problems and shortcomings at the end of the day! It’s a underrated gem in my book!
As much as I love this movie, I could understand why it didn't become a hit and got no love from the critics, it's basically two different movies mashed together with the War of Worlds alien thing coming out of nowhere, but again I love it, one of my favorites that I rewatch again and again, I also think the dad gets too much hate(I think there's even videos of how he's one of the worst Disney dad's), I don't think he was ever really ashamed or disappointed in he's son, embarrassed sure, but not the other two, and it's completely reasonable to believe that he just didn't know what to do in that situation, if you're lucky enough to have great parents, when one doesn't know what to do the other steps up, we're not sure how long the moms been out of the picture, but it's not easy for one parent to take on both roles, he admits that the mom would of known what to do and we see that when the baseball idea works out both father and son are on the same page and ready to move on and leave the "sky is falling" incident behind, starting with a clean slate.
I really hated his dad and everyone who picked on him. I'm really not into movies where the protaganist is the subject of bullying and rejection. However, this was funny. They had good taste in music for the movie
My grandfathers whole side of the family are all related to him and all have pictures with him and share a last name! I never got to meet him as they’re all from West Virginia and I’m from Washington state but whenever they would come to family reunions they would tell us cool stories about him! I was always told he was a great, funny man :) my mom would watch threes company all the time when I was a kid and would alway say "we’re related to him somehow" haha. It was cool later on when my cousins confirmed it and told us about him.
I may not like Chicken Little as some others (more power to those that do), but at least it saved Disney from crashing and burning all those years ago. This film is decent imo, though not exactly my cup of tea in the long run.

First off, R.I.P. Don Knotts, AKA, Mayor Turkey Lurkey. This was his final role before his death. Secondly, I have to be honest, this movie does so much wrong. Everyone's such a massive bully to Chicken Little, with the entire town bullying him, his own terrible father completely emotionally distances himself from him, siding with said bullies, the plot is super unfocused, it's humor is either really mean, or just not funny, and it's attempts at being like _Shrek,_ (parodying fairytales and using pop songs and pop culture references,) completely fall flat. But Kirby is cute, I really feel Chicken Little's struggle, and I still have the tiniest ping of nostalgia for it. Overall, definitely *not* Disney's best, possibly it's worst, but a part of me will always be glad it exists.
This very film was the first I've ever watched in my life. Flawed? Certainly. Faulty? ABSOLUTELY! But I always remember this movie being the gate that made me the nerdy film lover I am today. A guilty pleasure for me, along with "Slaughter High" and the Peter Frampton/Bee Gees "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

Man I really enjoyed watching this movie when I was like 8-10 years (just like now). That's one of my favorite movie (I'm still sad tbh that it's not got a sequel. I would love to see it). I think he's kinda over hated tbh.

Yaaay I love this movie it's actually so good 😊 and yeah that song and that scene makes me emotional almost every time it's so cheesy haha the soundtrack is pretty A1, lastly, my lord was those aliens pods terrifying the first time i seen this lol
What does a baseball game have to do with a falling sky? Chicken Little = panicking over nothing/"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" He's a fairy tale character, just as Foxy Loxy, etc.
I love this movie. Chicken Little's dad gets a lot of hate tho. I DO wish CL would've shown everyone the evidence when he had it. A bit of a writing flaw that he doesn't.

Originally, Disney was working on a movie to try combining fully hand-drawn animated characters with fully computer-animated characters. This idea didn't get very far following the unfair (personally, for me) box office failure of Home on the Range, so Disney tried to resort to alternatives. Someone had suggested a retelling of Henny Penny back when Disney was having a great time making movies through the Disney Renaissance. A Henny Penny movie was initially met with hatred, and when the project was finally green-lighted after the sequel to my favorite movie Fantasia ended its run in IMAX, they wanted this movie to be fully computer-animated. This was initially a smooth project with everyone working on it happy. There was just one problem! Disney President Micheal Eisner had gone completely nuts, actively insulting Pixar and sexually abusing Disney workers that eventually left because of Eisner's behavior. For some reason, Eisner wanted to capture the bright side of bullying and abusive parenting through the first (although technically second depending on the region) fully-computer animated feature that was this Henny Penny movie. So Micheal Eisner demanded the title of this Henny Penny project be changed to Chicken Little (there was actually another longer title he also had in mind but everyone went with this). He demanded the quality of the animation be degraded, the pop culture references to be all over the place, and most of all, he wanted everyone except the hero and his squad to signify ignorance towards little children and to be shown getting away with bullying with NO negative consequences inflicted on them whatsoever. Although the finished product gained Disney money, the people who worked on Chicken Little were very upset with Eisner. So, within a week of the movie coming out, Michael Eisner was fired from his position so the Walt Disney Company wouldn't have to worry a strike from Disney workers as in the one in 1941. And who to take his place? Bob Iger, who figured out how to redeem Pixar's trust, get the Walt Disney Animation Studios back on its feet, and mostly importantly, he explores many different ways to make Disney the corporate giant it is today. So you see, you fool, Chicken Little is not meant to be loved by anyone, regardless of your background or what you thought of the eventual reconciliation between the father and son. The bad stuff that happened to the bullies in this movie is not really payback for their abusive behavior, as they still went on bullying our supposed hero as the film ended. Consider at the bad elephants in Dumbo; they were absolutely horrible to poor Dumbo and his mother, but he learned to fly and shot peanuts at the offenders, and now they happily work for Dumbo in his touring act. The apology from the father in Chicken Little is not a true apology and the lifeless look in his eyes when he looks at the portrait of his late wife makes it immediately clear that he killed his wife just to inflict this bad behavior on his son and easily convince the whole town to do the same. Chicken Little saved the town from an alien invasion, but almost no one is grateful. As such I will never respect Chicken Little fans! If anyone loves this movie they will be hunted down and dealt with accordingly! This movie being a terrible movie is the only opinion out there that disguises itself as an opinion, but in reality is a FACT!!!!!
Great reaction. What I loved about this movie besides the message it teaches was the all the karaoke moments. Another underrated film you should check is Oliver and Company which is based on Oliver Twist. 🐔🪿🐷🐟👽

I genuinely liked this movie as well when I first saw it after seeing the Trailer on old VHS's... Definitely an underrated gem of a movie
