All the TH-cam guys making impractical videos need to watch this. THIS IS A COMMON SITUATION with a perspective that can be done in real time to get the upper hand in Randori or Real world application! Great Vid!
Thanks Dom! Can’t wait to try some details you show, like going to the sleeve when collar is blocked, and using your foot to regroup higher on their pant. I run into both of those things when I use this passing. Thanks again!!!
love the detail on the cuff grip! feel like many of us go for the collar but not allowing the oponent to get back on their elbow makes a huge difference
I love controlling that nearside arm (big kesa player) and leg, but I haven't done it so much from standing and with that sort of pressure. Looking forward to playing with this. Thanks for the info.
I just want to say this pass works amazing, i had some people respond to this by not letting put their leg between my legs and bring it up as a knee shield, so my weight is on their knee shield and the push me back to reset..
You can do that, but I find it easier to fight their ability to pull their knee to their chest if I start lower on the leg, then walk them down, and their leg naturally extends. THEN I switch my grip to the knee once it's already extended from the lower pant grip

I love this style of passing, much more my thing. We did this Yesterday in class, except we didn’t add in the sleeve grip, thanks!

Great explination. Been going down a rabbit hole on this style of passing. Are there any vids you recommend purchasing about it?
Great video. Thanks
Very nice supplement to the private I had with you. Is there a no gi equivalent?
Yes. Reverse c grip the bottom leg, and chin strap overhook to replace the collar/tricep
Thank you
Inescapable?

First lol. Can’t wait to watch this.
why don't you grab above/at the knee initially?
You can do that, but I find it easier to fight their ability to pull their knee to their chest if I start lower on the leg, then walk them down, and their leg naturally extends. THEN I switch my grip to the knee once it's already extended from the lower pant grip

Study Tainan Dalpra, Lucas Lepri, two of the best at that.
