There comes a point in a person's career, where he just isn't the same player. Losing a step makes sll the difference. Saw some recent clips from Russ and Klay, when they were young. Damn, were they really good. Lose a step is not a crime it happens, but the NBA is the best league in the world. A step is a massive loss. If Klay's defense was All-NBA, we could live with his declined shooting. But now, I see him shoot his now patented unnecessary off balanced threes up top, and still be beat down the court for a layup. That just can"t happen. Combine loss of footspeed with bad effort, and bad body language, I hope they just let Klay leave the building straight up for nothing, just off the books.
@@5lim.0 His +/- is -48... he is shooting worse FG% and 3PT% than Luke Kennard (15mil/year). He has a worse defensive rating than Kennard and Huerter (who also shoots better than Klay this season and has a positive +/-, also like 15 mil per year)
Klay has been there since day 1 and now his legs are getting under him. Mid-season form and this calculated approach off the bench and less minutes should keep him focused and sharp.

@@brendoncassidy1316 It takes longer than you think to recover from an injury and get your body right. Much of this is also mental, if you’re operating on the highest competitive level. Last year, Klay did not workout in the offseason. This matters. I agree that he won’t be the same player, but I do think we will see a marked improvement moving forward. Warriors are not paying Klay 25mill for a backup role who can’t play defense
37% from 3 and 45% fg.
Stephen A. Smith already pointed out 25 teams that would love to have Klay.
