Dentre estas afirmações uma esta meia certa o resto é balela, seus amigos imaginam que um "TAS" funciona como uma forma de programar um mugen onde você faz exatamente o que eles disseram, você pode criar o seu bot que seria o seu CPU e programa-lo do jeito que você deseja para jogar, não é assim que funciona, isso é um erro de quem apenas ouviu falar de amigos que falou para outros amigos e com brasileiro funciona naquela velha forma, uma mentira contada ou passada para outras pessoas várias vezes até mesmo lendas antigas cai na boca do povo e ai que no fim todos acreditam nisso sem nem sequer mexer nas ferramentas. O que acontece é o seguinte: De fato não é minha habilidade real, eu sou um player casual e comum como qualquer outro, não há mentiras nisso, aliás jamais neguei isto, quem me acompanha nos comentários seja em inglês ou respondendo em PT-BR consegue ver que sou sincero com todos, até arrumei a descrição de todos os vídeos justamente para isso também. Todo jogador que bota as siglas "TAS" nos vídeos se submetem ao mesmo sistema: pegar qualquer rom que você deseja e grava-lo com um arquivo que só o emulador lê, depois você pode usar o próprio emulador e gerar o avi escolhendo um codec, quando fazemos isto podemos utilizar diversas ferramentas ao longo do game seja do início ao fim, entre elas slow-motion (câmera-lenta), frame advance (uma ferramenta que faz você avançar frame a frame qualquer jogo, ferramenta absoluta para um TAS), savestates e loadstates para que você consiga corrigir ou voltar de tal parte ou até mesmo recomeçar, refazer da parte que deseja, basta você desmarcar uma opção chamada "read only" e pronto basta dar load ou salvar e dar load que você continua gravando e tudo isso graças também ao arquivo de leitura do emulador que chamo de arquivos .tas, varia de acordo com o emulador, no mame o arquivo se chama .mar, no Super Nintendo snes .smv ou .bk2, isso de acordo com cada emulador oferecido pelo site www.tasvideos.org na parte emulators resources tem os emuladores que utilizamos. O objetivo de cada vídeo nosso é ou bater um game da forma mais rápido possível superando qualquer recorde atual com abuso de glitches e talz chamamos isso de Tool Assisted Speedrun, no meu caso é diferente chamamos de Tool Assisted Superplay porquê meu objetivo é outro, ENTRETER acima de tudo, pois seria um tanto feio bater o mais rápido possível jogos de luta, logo os membros das comunidades concluíram que para um jogo de luta o essencial para um bom entretenimento seria utilizar de combos, glitches e até controlar partidas de 2 jogadores, logo é este conceito que eu e meus amigos seguimos, não é mostrar habilidade é mostrar criatividade, claro que muitas coisas são impossíveis de realizar em tempo real, como brincar com o CPU como fazemos e manipular glitches com tamanha perfeição e até emendar em combos, mas muita coisa é possível acredite, eu mesmo jogo MK desde criança, a maioria do que fiz ao longo dos meus vídeos na internet eu fazia no meu SNES, PS2. Eu sinto muito se te desapontei ou algo do tipo, tento sempre atualizar as descrições para ajudar as pessoas a entenderem o conceito de TASVideos. Sem palavras, antes de ver a sua resposta eu acidentalmente vi alguns vídeos sobre (TAS) e pude ver que é um respeitável trabalho que exige domínio e criatividade da parte do player, gamer seja qual for o nome dado para o jogador, e não mesmo, não me decepcionou, na verdade fiquei muito alegre quando li que muitas coisas você já havia feito no SNES, mano seu trabalho é incrível, já nesse esclarecimento você já vê que eu tomei algum conhecimento sobre o Tas, e não sou mais tão ignorante. Passei a respeitar muito mais do que respeitava o Tas e admiro de mais a modalidade, parabéns pelos seu vídeos e claro que continuarei curtindo seu trabalho. I remember, Lui Kang, Kitana and Millena were the WORST characters to have towards the end because they were able to shoot their projectile in the air. IF you had to face them, you always wanted those 3 at the beginning where the A.I. was "easier" on you. Towards the end, the computer A.I. was A LOT harder and pretty much countered everything you did...
I doubt it. I mean, even as kids/teens my friends and I came up with numerous day dreaming scenarios about stuff we were interested in and never once thought about someone being able to program their own version of computer-controlled characters down to frame-by-frame inputs. With them being programmers of a game, I'd think their attention was mostly toward how they could make something people would like to play for long periods of time since more successful games means more future work opportunities. What I mean by that is that I'd bet they were most concerned with how people were gonna interact with the game in its natural form, not how people might try to "hack" into it.
I mean how stumped was the development team for someone to say "I have a great idea for a fatality for Liu Kang. Let's have him transfer into an mk machine and land on the enemy." For them all to say, "Damn that's a great idea."?

The secret to becoming a good TASer is practice. Grab the emulator and stay training, preferably with a game that you are good, then try other games. You're not going to get any better overnight, take some time.
Play the game in the emulator that has tools for TAS, start creating a movie file then play the game in slow motion, once you finish recording see the result. If you think you can improve something try again, basically this.

I'm just disappointed to know that it's likely that half of the insane combo tallies we've read on the in-game display probably aren't actually as big as shown by the display since true combos are sequences of hits that are truly unbreakable once the first hit lands. Edit: Just made it to the Kabal match. Wow, the game isn't even trying to sweep crumbs under the rug at this point. Look at the numerous times Kabal regains his composure yet the game records it as a 23-hit combo.
