I’m so glade you said something about the agitator, this is my only complaint. A fix video would be great

I’m either modifying this one or picking up a spare agitator. Stay tuned for that video.

Thanks for mentioning the agitator. It's been driving me crazy trying to throw down Carbon X with this thing. It gets so much love on all of the FB lawn groups, that I was thinking I was the only one facing the issue and that mine was defective. I guess I need to try bouncing and shaking it when the product stops dispersing. I've also had several issues with using any setting under 5. Thanks for the video!

Carbon X is such a tricky product to apply, I wish they would remake the pril to be honest. I haven’t had a chance to do CX with this spreader yet but by the time I do the agitator will be improved with an update on how.

The agitator is too high as mentioned. Also the fertilizer is notorious for getting stuck between the openings and the disc underneath the unit jamming up the spring lever. My RB 60 was delivered 6/25/21 I unboxed it that day my wife to box off to the recycling center. I tested the spreader in the driveway on 6/26/21 to see spread pattern and to calculate spreading 1 pound of phosphorus per 1000. The first pass I did it threw at a fantastic rate. The moment I shut the lever off to turn around to start my next run I noticed a reduced flow coming out. The fertilizer kept jamming and would not allow the shutter to open and close properly. After reviewing the star ratings on Google it had five stars. But when I clicked on the one stars a lot of the complaints were what I mentioned fertilizer jams the shutters and throws off your calculations. I need to put down $200 worth of fungicide on July 8th. Will not dare do it with this spreader. Can't afford to under apply or over apply this product. But I will say other then that the build on this thing the tires the hopper all of that is awesome. I will sat since my wife hauled the box off its hell trying to get echo or Mowers direct to except the return. Waiting on a manager to get back to me this week from echo.

I’ve heard the same from others but the mod I setup actually worked pretty well, even better when I removed one “wing” to allow for product to fall better. What I have not had is any clogging or jams. I get a consistent spread right up to the near end. I guess the type of product being applied can make a difference here as well.

Glue a toothbrush or small nylon cleaning brush to the underside the spinny doodle. Seems like a great value. I hate the plastic wheels on my DLX but just got it free and its big upgrade from my edgeguard mini. I think getting this and selling the DLX is the way to go.

Good idea, I was tempted to drill a small hole and use a thin bolt/washer combo to help stir the bottom
      Along. Still thinking it through.

I especially appreciate you doing some comparisons with a higher prices Lesco. I wonder though how this would compare with a Spyker 50lb spreader at around $250 dollars. Although it's $150 more, if the Echo is a few less short comings then I'd say the Echo is the better value. Looking to be swayed on spending the ex

Do the tires hold air after sitting a while?

I’ve been storing it in the uninsulated shed since out of the box, no air loss to date with two apps down. 3rd app coming Monday.

The handles are cheap metal, all spreaders need to be stainless steel with no exceptions. They'll rust out super fast.

Fertilizer corrodes, even farmers deal with similar issue but short and spaced out usage with proper cleaning makes a difference. Agreed a high quality 316 SS would be best. Having a marine background with a lot of sailing time under my belt I can attest to that. However the price of said material can end up being cost prohibitive even to homeowners.
Cleaning with just water won’t always do it, I’ve found a degreaser like Simple Green or Purple Power help when washing.
