- Hello everyone, welcome back to Decorating with Barbara. Today I'm sharing my Christmas home tour. In my last tour You saw where I decorated my kitchen with pops of red, but in this tour the colors are more neutral with metallic accents. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy the tour.

My dear Barbara....again...I have no words to describe how I feel. I was just sharing it with my son few minutes ago. We are in love with this atmosphere, and we all know why. There's "something" EXTRA-special there...a Heavenly Presence!...and I can feel it in my heart...in my bones! I am in love with this Channel and little by little I will watch your Videos as much as possible. What a fantastic decoration...and I am so glad I've seen gold and silver together decorating the Living Room. I wanted to put these two colours together, but I was not sure it would look nice, but when I saw you have done that...this "problem" was solved in seconds! Thank you so much for inspire me.... sharing such beauty with all of us here. I am delighted and honoured to enter your home!. May the Blessing of GOD be upon you and your Family. Sending you a warm hug from the UK. (Please accept my apologies for my poor English. It's not my first language) (in fact I am Portuguese, from Madeira Island, but I've been raised in Brazil (Sao Paulo) since the age of 03 months (still a baby) where I lived with my son till 2006. Then we came to England 12 years ago).

Hello Barbara, your home tours and tips are always so beautiful. Trying to describe them is beyond words. Please keep doing them. I have replaced watching HGTV with watching youtubers all the time when I am not working and should be decorating. I use to like Homes Across America and would record them so I could peek inside others homes for design and inspiration. Merry Christmas to you and you family. Just found your page. Amazing! I live in a teeny townhouse on upper east coast, but I am learning to make it more cozy. Your decorating is flawless. My daughter decorated our basement rec room tree with gold and black ornaments, and polka dot black and white ribbons. I think its fun to play with different color schemes. I love the silver and gold myself as well.

One word AMAZING. I almost bought that same ribbon on your beautiful staircase from Sam's, I am going out today to see if I can find it, it is so pretty, I knew I should have gotten it. Thanks for the tour, as well showing me I really should have purchased that ribbon.

Barbara, you have a spectacular home and a wonderful gift of decorating.. I used to love to decorate for Christmas, but after finding out that the origin of Christmas is Pagan, the Lord convicted me of this so I can no longer decorate my home for Christmas but I do put up some lights and candles and a couple angels and a menorah for Hanukkah. Hi Fourcakes! So glad you enjoyed the tour. In my home CHRISTmas is about the birth of Christ, and remembering that Jesus was the first and everlasting gift. My Christmas tours are never about my home and the things in it. I may put a santa claus here or there, but Christ is at and center of our home. @@decoratingwithbarbara8125 Barbara, I so so love decorating. You don't know how hard it was for me to give up Christmas!! I went kicking and screaming, but in the long run, the truth is all that matters and pleasing Him.. but after studying and putting the time into it, I was very convicted, and when I found out that Father hates it, that made me want to have nothing to do with it; He means more to me than man made tradition. May I suggest a great video about this very subject? It is the one that opened my eyes to the truth. It is long, so you can watch it in 2 parts..he starts with Easter and 2nd half Christmas... When Jim Staley found out the truth, he was also stunned. He said that it doesn't matter what we think; it only matters what He thinks...I just love Him way too much to do anything that hurts him.....We are commanded in leviticus to only celebrate His feast days, and nowhere does it tell us to celebrate the birth of our Savior...the early church never celebrated it, not did Charles Spurgeon..the disciples didn't either...(even though we want to.) OMG!!! Stunningly beautiful! 9.7 out of 10. I subtracted just 0.7 because of the lack of even just a bit of color. Color just takes any decor to the highest level. Also, as an African American who has been to Africa twice during November and December, color reminds me of the Motherland at Christmas time. Anyway, you have a VERY gorgeous and elegant home indeed! ♥️
