    Great ride guys, really enjoying your footage!! Looks like we share the same terrain and I live in Northern Ontario Canada. And even though I'm a Cam Am rider, I do think Carson's new tires make his machine look Menacing!! LMAO Keep up the great work guys! 😎

    Great video!
    What cage is that on the YXZ to retain the factory roof, looks great!
    I'd like a similar setup.
    Thanks

      Had my fab guy build a cage from 095 tubing just like stock cage so I could keep my roof and flip back windshield.

    Lots of great people around ky/tn in the offroad community willing to lend a hand. Glad you got it fixed and off the trail without much problem. Carson definitely understands throttle control and taking time to get lined up. A lot of people just pin it and hope to make it to the top and end up with broken axles etc..

    If you don’t mind me asking. What size tires are you running on your yxz? What offset are the wheels and do you have gear reduction? I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with my 2020 yxz 1000 xtr

    • @tcboffroad3206
      @tcboffroad3206  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      32” rockabillys, raceline beadlock wheels with 4-3 offset, 70/30 gear reduction, heavy flywheel. Soon after making this vid I disconnected front and rear sway bars and added 1” wheel spacers which made a big difference for the better. Went back to trail 40 a few months later and killed it.

    Same exact thing happened to my KRX at Hatfield McCoy trails at 185 miles. We couldn’t get a part so we had to drag it out on the rear end of my buddies xp1k. It was a nightmare. Kawasaki still refuses to admit their is a problem and hasn’t updated the part. Only thing can do is grind the stops on the knuckles.

    • @brianmcbride99
      @brianmcbride99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm shocked that Kawasaki isn't owning up to this, there are tons of people with this issue(and many others) the krx seems to still be in beta test mode.

    • @UncleMikesGarage
      @UncleMikesGarage 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They have fixed the issue with newer models. Mine has the newer knuckles and lower arms. Build date of May 2020. Not sure what yours is.

      Stock gearing riding the tougher trails at Windrock would be tough

    • @tcboffroad3206
      @tcboffroad3206  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to mention you’d need all the ground clearance you can get which involves bigger tires which would hurt your gearing even worse.

    Definitely needed to grind an angle on the steering stop on the hub. You can see where it's been hitting hard and digging into the a-arm. It was just a matter of time before it broke, especially on trails like those. I did mine to avoid being stranded out on the trail like that. It would be nice if Kawasaki would address that particular issue. Bone stock it's a beast.

    • @tcboffroad3206
      @tcboffroad3206  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bob Laws that’s what the owner was told. Yeah I agree with you other than the hub issues I think the krx is an impressive machine.

    • @dirtslinger1500
      @dirtslinger1500 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't got to take mine out yet and want to avoid this. What kind of angle do I need to grind on the steering stops? I haven't looked at it yet. Is it something you'll be able to tell when you look at it?

    • @boblaws9851
      @boblaws9851 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dirtslinger1500 I would take it for a ride or two and see if yours are hitting. For whatever reason, not all do. You will be able to see if it is gouging into the paint and the a-arm. You just grind an angle on the steering stops so the bottom corner of it no longer hangs up on the a-arm. It is obvious what you need to do, if yours are hitting. Only my rear stops were hitting, so I only ground the rear two stops. Pause the video at the 25:07 mark and you will see where his was hitting and gouging into the paint.

    • @dirtslinger1500
      @dirtslinger1500 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@boblaws9851 . Ok thanks man. And thanks for the info. I've rode dirt bikes, three wheelers and four wheelers my whole life but this is my first SXS. Whole new game it seems like. But I'll take your advice and take it for a ride and keep an eye on it. Hopefully I've got one that don't hit. Lol.

    • @dirtslinger1500
      @dirtslinger1500 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just checked mine. It's hit on both sides. Not bad but the paint is chipped off and had a tiny little gouge in it. I wonder if Kawasaki will replace them with the new ones before they break? Sure would save alot of headache.
