Such a powerful word!! Perhaps it could be empowering to understand that when we use “yet” instead of never or any other limiting word, our subconscious may be positively influenced in some way or another to think that way in the near or far future 😌✌🏽

This was great information. Much of it I've heard before but being reminded of it and adding some new nuggets for me was really appreciated.
Create my own affirmations then choose the confirmation within my environment.
Also look back in my life to find examples of when that was true.
Keep a confirmation journal to show proof of when my affirmations became my reality.

I think listening to you is going to help me. I am retired, but want to be a freelance proofreader for extra money... I've pretty much done all my homework & gotten myself set up to do it, but I am AFRAID to pull the trigger on it. Afraid I won't be good at maintaining my own website. Afraid there will be tough clients & legal entanglements. Then I'm really hard on myself, like "WTH is wrong w you? It's only proofreading, it's not rocket science, clients are only people just like you", etc, etc...lol. Then I put it off another day!

With affirmations, you can't just tell yourself things, you have to believe them. You have to find a middle ground where you progress to the next level. You can't just tell yourself you're happy and successful if you're broke and miserable. Instead you tell yourself you have the tools to get to the next step. The next step could be a savings goal, fitness goal, emotional goal etc
All you have to do is affirm, that's it. I already have what I wanted from doing it everyday

The book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill pretty much covers this. The book is nearly 100 years old and is one of the first self help books and I'd say probably the first of its type. Most self help books and principles are just a rehashed, poor version of the original.
Everyday and in every ways I'm getting better and I know the abundance flowing to me
I don't believe much in overnight success, I feel those are far and few between. I've been watching videos from successful people that talk about mindset, investing in yourself by buying/consuming content that will help you in educating yourself, then put in the work. I believe that makes way more sense than those "get rich scheme" people. Mind set is one of the biggest things holding me back all my life, I grew up in an environment where I was belittled often and treated like crap by my mother and I've carried that low self esteem, zero confidence and not good enough belief for most of my life. I've finally had enough. I've been working to get away from that mindset because after I've finally had enough, deep down I believe I'm capable of finding success and freedom.

The very first question, one you didn't ask because it doesn't matter to you, is : what does Success mean to you (us viewers) ? Speaking for myself, I don't want to be financially rich. I don't own a home. I have my motorcycle, a tent and a laptop to work remote and be location independent. I have taxpayer numbers in three different European countries, so it's easy for me to work and go places. Because I pay taxes I can use NHS in those countries. I am my own boss. I decluttered and never been happier, everything I own I carry around with me.
So there you are, standing on the balcony of your McMansion. I wave at you as I ride into the sunset. That's my idea of success.
