The problem with this, and multipipe and subD in general is that 4 sides is nowhere near a true circle. As soon as you go up to even just 6 faces it is much closer to being usable but then the complexity of building it gets so much higher.
@@Professor3Ddave Depends on what you want to use it for. If you have two 4-faced subD 'circle' tubes inside one another with small tolerance it doesn't work well.
@@Vanastarr I accept your challenge. I may have secretly developed another way to create this similar elbow with a perfect 8-sided circular pipe on all three legs. We will cover it in a future video.
@@Professor3Ddave Yeah, funnily enough I just tested it with 6 faces and realised it with be silly and started working on 8. I'll finish it later and see how it goes. On the forum they did once say they would like day let us choose the number of around faces when using the multipipe command
This is a great little demo. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
thx a lot prof!
great job of conveying the power of SubD....thanks
Thank you Jiminy 😊👌
Very well done.
Thank you kindly! You are wonderful and wise.

It’s a minor trade-off, but I have built very precise Sub-D surfaces. See the video at th-cam.com/video/aX6WHJLUZfM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Gee2YhipnRj5X0dh

@ I used an ingenious work-around. I started with three 8-faced pipes and gave up. The solution will surprise you.
