I am thinking that Ethan’s infamous inability to roll his r’s would pose absolutely no problem if his mother tongue were French or German (or even Danish, since we are talking Måneskin here) but I guess we’d be missing some of his unique shyness, which I guess may derive partly from his speech defect.

2 questions: 1- why it doesn't sound like he's speaking Italian? It sounds so much softer and just not Italian lol 2- why is his hair so majestic and glamorous? Seriously tho, I'm a girl and I'm sometimes tired of maintaining my shoulder length hair. He's a guy and he keeps his butt-length hair so flawless
1 - From what I gathered, he speaks with a 'erre moscia' (soft/flabby R) which can appear in some local Italian dialects, but it's uncommon, since Italians usually use the trilled R. And it's definitely considered "strange" for people from Rome, who's dialect is very distinct (Damiano?). Just like regarding a lisp some consider it a speech impairment, some just find it annoying and some quite endearing. When he says e.g. 'Brick Lane' he pronounces the R more like an L. The other members sometimes "copy" him or joke about his pronunciation - but always in a kind, light hearted way. 2 - And as somebody who used to have very, very long and healthy hair: I don't think my haircare routine really helped THAT much. It's mostly just lucky genes and he hit the Jackpot. I wouldn't be surprised if his hair sometimes annoys the hell out of him, but one look in the mirror and it's just too pretty to not be forgiven ^^
Ethan has a very polished language and only a slight Roman accent as he speaks mainly official Italian, so he has a different language from the other members of the group, who speak almost entirely in Roman dialect, to the point that Thomas and Victoria cannot stop speaking in Roman dialect even when theoretically they should speak Italian. Also he has speech impairment (for Italians), he is unable to roll the R when he speaks. Probably these are the differences you hear, Damiano, Victoria and Thomas mostly speak the Roman dialect with a strong accent and roll their R very well, while Ethan speaks impeccable Italian and his R is almost non-existent. His peculiar language and his wise and thoughtful personality make him an easy victim of the jokes of the other members of the group, but he totally ignores them, it's funny to see how they try to shake him and he doesn't seem to hear them and always seems to be distracted by something else (probably the fact that he has 8 or 9 siblings has taught him to be very patient and to ignore the "noise" around him..). As for his hair, he has always said he uses the first shampoo he finds. There is no specific brand and there is not even a specific routine, it is simply genetic.

The above-mentioned speech impairment, so-called "Erre (R) moscia" in italian, is not uncommon even in Italy, especially in younger people. I had the same issue when I was a teenager, year after year it "improved" and now nobody notices it or even remembers when I had it. Nothing really weird or particularly noteworthy - at worst you may get friendly banters: they will tell you have a french accent or that you sound snobbish or effeminate. Or even all these things at the same time =)

Its the fact hes shopping for hif band mates cuz of their request. Like even my friends wont do this shit for me. Idk if they r close friends but him doing it just speaks highly of his character. Also i never was interested in him in particular. But after i watched a short video of him trying to de escalated a fight between damiano and some other X factor participant during their x factor days he just became 100% more and more attractive. What a sweet disposition. Suddenly everything makes sense. He really is a nice good natured person
