First the comment about a good moment for women to ask their husbands for clothes, and then his comments about Twiggy. I had to stop the video. I understand this is a man from an older generation, but still. When a mind and a heart are truly open, there's no place for misogyny.

But that was just one of his jokes. He's known to make risky jokes fairly often but he never means them seriously. Buddhism is literally THE religion with the least discrimination and he is a head Buddhist monk.

What misogyny? One can't say I don't find this or that person attractive? You are oversensitive. That is not good for you.

Hi @ledae2612 I just want to say, I made a bad mistake by doubting Ajahn Brahm and was shown firmly that the BSWA is truly a friend to the Buddha. I don't want you to miss out on so much goodness from Venerable Ajahn Brahm and the BSWA, because of a misunderstanding, like I did. I will regret doubting Ajahn Brahm for a long time to come I fear. This Venerable monk was excommunicated for helping to reestablish the Bhikkuni Sangha. We live in times of confusion; please don't miss out on these wonderful teachings. Please.

He organised for women to independently acquire and own their own land and temple. In so doing, he went against the entire Buddhist culture, in order to further women rights.
Don't be so reactive, and instead do your research, it'll stand you in good stead 👍

I'm surprised to read all the comments of support, and especially the fact that he's a supporter of women. Sounds like I should give his videos another try...
