NHL 25 HUT | Project Matthews - Episode 2. In this episode I start my road to Division 1 in HUT Rivals and get insanely lucky!
Project Matthews is a free to play, pack and play NHL 25 HUT Series. Meaning that I can't buy players from the market and I can't do sets. The only way to improve the team is to buy packs with coins and earn rewards, but I can make or buy any Auston Matthews card and I need to earn every pack I open by scoring a hat-trick with Matthews.

A rage quit should maybe give you a pity pack. Or a goal banked for matthews. So can make a 2 goal game into a 3. Or 3 rage quits is a hatty

Love the ambition, but a pack per Hatty relying on coins could get slow quickly. Would honestly love to see just a no money, Matthews to glory where market players and sets are allowed! Seeing a pro’s road to glory is always interesting in any game!

maybe you should allow yourself to use untradeable fodder to do re-rolls (but not any other sets), re-rolls have some excitement to them with randomness

I believe he’s the only 85 you can pull and in reality 85 is not a high overall even with the pack changes… If you’re buying that 2,500 point pack you have a good chance, That 12,000 point pack it’s almost guaranteed in some cases. I pulled him with my pre order points from the 2,500 point pack and then pulled Matthews in the 800 point pack where you get 1 80+ overall…
I’m worried about this game. Taking out weekly rewards seems like they are making it harder again to have a “no money spent team” I used my pre order points but other than that I won’t be buying any points… I’m NHL 24 I was able to make 1 fantasy card, All Team Of The Year cards except for Ullmark, While being no money spent at all… Seems like it won’t be like that this year, If you don’t spend money and hound your mothers credit card down you won’t be able to build anything good.

​@tylerlussier1896 There's always ways to build a good free team. It just depends on how much time you want to invest. Honestly it makes my team more valuable to MYSELF when I know I actually earned it the hard way. And an 85 IS a high overall right now. It won't be later on obviously but it is now, so Mcdavids pull rate is still pretty damn low.

Skill-less one-timer? More like skill-less defense. Defensive skill gap is going to determine so many games. I’ve always loved Eki’s content more than other streamers, but the guy chases on D with zero regard for open one-timers.
