This series has the most logical and realistic ending. Sunoh was her first love but she actually found Herself when she was with Hye yeoung. Hye yeoung was the one who impacted her life so much. Hye yeoung was most mature and never questioned why Jojo felt such nd such way. When he said tht she shld be sincere whether if its good or bad,thts when the whole plot flipped becs thts when she accepted herself and became confident. The story was much more thn Sunoh and Jojo high school love. It was abt acceptance and loving a person unconditionally. The whole plot was actually based on Hye yeoung love for Jojo and thts why Love Alarm came into existence.
HyeYeong told Jojo he will ring her love alarm 10x a day and that's what he did even if Jojo doesn't ring his love alarm. This symbolizes that he continously love Jojo over and over regardless if she loves him back or not. Now that's unconditional love. And that's the kind of love that a broken person with a traumatic past like Jojo, needed.
I've never like a male character this much until I saw Hye Young. He's like the best person, not a man, ever. He's kind, patience, considerate of Jojo's feeling. And I was so sad when he said that he has to be good so that his father will too.

This is such a beautiful series. A lot of people are just too shallow and only cares about who ends up with who. They forget that this series is about a broken messed up girl with a traumatic past. Its about her journey of coming to terms with her past in order to completely love someone. And she does this in a toxic society where your feelings are out in the open as symbolicly represented by a mobile phone app and where people are obsessed with having their love alarm ring just like in our social media today where people are so obsessed with getting hearts and likes.

Okay here are my thoughts but I really liked season 2. First of all, despite the love triangle, Jojo finally accepted her past as something that she never hated but has just been so heavy for her and made her doubt all of her decisions and relationships. The way that the writers depicted her acceptance and love for her past being able to shape who she was as she grew stronger was so beautiful. Next, Hyeyeong deserves her so much. No chemistry? People say this because of course you are focused on Sunoh so I won’t even force those to see unless they realize why Hyeyeong was the healthiest choice. Jojo was able to love him with her own volition because he was patient for her and never pressured her into liking him back. Sunoh yells at her even when they weren’t together (staircase scene) insisting that she still likes him because he still couldn’t accept it and yes I do understand his pain but this is unhealthy in the longrun and is toxic, there was no need to yell she was standing right there... anyways, you can say “Sunoh only did that because he was hurt” but when Hyeyeong was hurt because he found out she used a spear knowing that genuinely ringing his love alarm without anything like the spear meant so much to him, he simply walked away in pain and before that, he calmly, yet with a lot of hidden pain, told her how he felt before they separated. He was always there for her even from the start. If we want to dive into the background too, Sunoh only liked her because he wanted to see who Hyeyeong was liking so much. Sunoh’s first interaction with Jojo was a kiss behind a back wall while they were highschool students. Not saying that highschool relationships don’t last because they do but, in their case, basing your relationship on something physical is never an amazing way to do it. Yes, you could say they still had an emotional connection but that was after and you can’t take that initial first physical interaction away that is Jojo and Sunoh’s foundation. Hyeyeong was so determined to do it the old-fashioned way on the down low as much as he can. You can say “Oh, but he did that ringing her alarm thing in the cafeteria at her school in the first ep of s2, isn’t that being public so how is it different?” It’s different because he is not a celebrity, they are just normal people going about their lives. Sunoh is already a celebrity and for him to cause scenes like that even if he wasn’t thinking about it, still is harmful to Jojo’s reputation and even his. It affects both of them and drains energy whether they like it or not. She is the type to not want to be put on the spot if it’s the case like Sunoh did where he yelled at everyone to leave his meter radius to see if she would ring his alarm in highschool. Lastly, people say Sunoh had Jojo first. Okay but Hyeyeong liked her first anddd Sunoh knew this and still kissed her and told him with his whole chest that same day knowing it would hurt Hyeyeong. Then, Hyeyeong still watched from a distance admiring Jojo yet not doing anything when she was with Sunoh. However when Sunoh knew Hyeyeong was with Jojo now in s2, he didn’t back away. I just had to get this off my chest. If Sunoh people don’t want to call it “toxic” as many of us who liked the ending, it was just unhealthy for Joio who wanted to be there for herself first with someone softspoken, sweet, caring, patient, and kind to her. Either way, please just focus on our girl Jojo if it hurts that Sunoh wasn’t the main lead even if in the webtoon it was Hyeyeong as of now. She had the most traumatic past and she can now live in peace with it.

Thts true Hye yeoung and Jojo had very dynamic chemistry. Not just as lovers but as friend and journey of their past is wht brought them together. And the major thing is Hye yeoung was the one who actually made her realise tht she shld be sincere even its bad or good. I really do think Sunoh and Jojo liked each other in high school, but I feel like they were both in the wrong mindset and stayed together even more because they thought they were alone. But as they both grew, they met new people to bring them out of that loneliness
Sunoh and Jojo's love was more like a distraction from their own problems. It was filled with high school attraction, butterflies, and they were up in the clouds. When they fell on the motorcycle scene she said that she wished it wasn't a dream being with him. But that's how their love felt like to her...it was so unreal like a dream that at any moment she could wake up and he would be gone (or her relationship with him would fall apart). But that scene gave us her true feelings of her relationship with Sun Oh...she never felt secured and they had this gap between them (status) that its understandable why she felt like being with him was like being in a dream so she made her choice by using the shield. Although it hided her true feelings for Sun Oh at the time...the shield was her choice that lead to her new love with Hye-yeong who made her want to take her shield away. With Hye-yeong she felt grounded, secured, and was no longer running but instead fighting for her reality in happiness. The best part is Jo Jo was able to trust at the end. People who are team Sun Oh might think the transition didn't make sense from season 1 to season 2, but I felt it made perfect sense since she was no longer dreaming or reliant on her love alarm. People got to understand that it was her choice to use the shield and she made it clear that if she could go back in time she would do the exact same thing all over again...cause although she regretted it then her current self doesn't and believes she made the best choice. With that said, Love is complex and I was very satisfied with the ending since personally it was more realistic:)

I don't remember when was the last fictional character that has swayed me this much, let alone a damn Kdrama. I've cringed so many times at Korean dramas, but not this couple. If this is not goals, then I don't know what love is anymore. Can we please have more guys in Kdramas like Hye-Yeong in the future? This is a long post about my feels for Love Alarm Season 2 and why it's just right the Hyeyeong got the girl. 1. "In this world, if you love someone, it has to ring" - people have become so dependent on Love Alarm that they thought if it doesn't ring, it's not love (HyeYeong and Jojo / YukJo and SunOh). That's why people missed the point. SunOh did not ring YukJo's love alarm but he goes to her every time. He considers her as his safe haven. When YukJo was gone for a month, he rang her doorbell every day because that is how much he craves her presence. If that wasn't love, I don't know what is. 2. At the same time, people thought that if they rang each other's love alarm, they have to date(Sun Oh and Jojo). They thought of love as merely a feeling. But it wasn't. In real life, even if we love someone, if it is too heavy for us to sustain that love. We break up with them even if we still love them. That's why even if Jojo did not install the shield and still have feelings for SunOh, if she wanted to stop dating him (in a world without love alarm), they would have stopped dating. BECAUSE LOVE IS A CHOICE YOU CONSTANTLY MAKE. 3. In terms of relationship dynamics. Jojo and SunOh are typical passionate and toxic relationship. It is a love that consumes you. Chemistry- that's why a lot of us chose to ignore the fact that the start of that relationship was already problematic because Jojo was in a relationship. Even if she doesn't feel for the guy, she should have broken up with him before kissing SunOh. But no. Although there is lots of merits in their relationship because they share the same pain with their families, their relationship became too heavy in the end. On top of Jojo's other problems, she just can't sustain it because she was young. It was still wrong of her to end it without explanation. But as she said in S2, she was immature at that time. And that is the truth that we have to accept. What baffled me was SunOh hasn't moved on after 4 years but he is already dating a different girl... Like why? As far as I saw, nobody forced him to date YukJo, so if he was still hang up on Jojo, why did he date her? 4. My favorite dynamics was Jojo and Hyeyeong's relationship. Mostly because it is super unconventional. He did not do anything about his feelings for whole ass 5 episodes??? BRO. Kidding. I understand him. He chose to respect Jojo's relationships. Honestly, at first, I don't think I could ever ship them because my belief is, Love is a choice. So if he chose not to confess or tell her feelings, he wasn't desperate enough for her love. Later did I realize that, it is not true. He wants to be loved too. But he was level-headed. He knows respect and boundaries and he prioritizes Jojo's feelings over everything else. He just doesn't want to cause her more pain and problems. That's why when he confessed, he told her not to be pressured, that he just wanted to express his love. 5. Jojo's growth because of Hyeyeong. Hyeyeong first expressed his feelings when he said "you've been lonely for too long that you don't notice anymore" "I can see your loneliness clearly". Later on, Jojo did the same thing for Hyeyeong when he was under the weather due to his dad. It was symbolized by the necktie when Jojo said, "I know how to do it now because you taught me how to do it" Jojo learned to ask help and give help because Hyeyeong showed it to her. Same with how Jojo put her shield up because of SunOh but she wanted to remove it because of Hyeyeong. Hyeyeong made Jojo a better and more mature person. 6. Lastly, Jojo and Hyeyeong's relationship. It's not boring... :( It was just pure and mature. Not as passionate, but it was certain. They weren't in HS anymore unlike in S1. Sorry for the long comment, I have too much feels for this show.
i couldnt agree more you explained it beautifully, i just wanted to add something, the fact that hye hyeong could help her heal her trauma is really heart warming too, when the video of sunoh and jojo came out, jojo didnt think of running away like her past self would, she was worried about how hurt hye hyeong would be and she knew she needed to go to him thats why she went to his house, i just found it cute how their relationship is healthy and like an old couple loving each other selflessly, at that moment they both were worried about each other, it shows how much they both love and care about each other’s being and feelings
They did justice by letting her give HY a chance, most kdramas the FL would never gave the other guy a chance but LA did. It reversed all the typical clichés and stereotypes, HY did so much for her, she understood that and try dating him to see if it works out. If it didn't work out then they would call it quits, it wasn't forced because HY said that it's okay to dump him because that's romantic to him. He is that selfless and JJ would break up with him if it didn't work out but it did, that was a miracle to him cause she indeed truly loved him. I wish people can understand that more.
Love is patient and that is what made Hye Young a better choice. He loved her when she didn't love herself. He waited patiently and showed her what love can feel like. Sun oh fell for Jojo's beauty and Hy Young fell for Jojo!
The most emotional part for me on s2 was when JoJo overcame her weakness and trauma, and lifted the heavy burden she's been carrying for too long, the one who was waiting for her on the finish line, was Hyeyeong! It's always been him. Choosing HY maybe a rational decision but Jojo made the best choice ever! She chose him out of love alarm!!! Honestly i got angry for those people who're keep telling that season 2 shouldn't happened because Sun oh and Jojo didn't end up together. Those people were extra toxic focusing on actors more than the story love alam is relaying.
They are so close minded to the people who has gone through traumas. Like in real life, many people immediately judge the decisions of others. Someday when people get mature, they'll understand and appreciate the message of this series

Hye Yeong and Jo Jo’s love and relationship is so constructive and bring the best out of them. Love Alarm 2 is one of my top kdrama, on par with CLOY! I'm actually sad on the amount of times Jung Garam state that he's not as handsome as Song Kang. I felt like he somehow feel inferior with his looks during interviews when I find him hella attractive!!! He look so good and I can't wait for his future projects after his enlistment. He's a good actor and since I'm already rooting for So hyun and Song kang, I'll be rooting for him when he come back! ❤️

This is the most realistic kdrama i've seen so far. It tells the story of a person that has to make hard choices, they hurted people but also loved and we all live that kind of situation in some moment of our lives. Its not about 'who am i end up with' its about who she really loved and accept her past and walking free into the future she wants with her loved ones because you can't truly live the present (and future) if you are still stocked and hurt because of the past.

As much as I loved s1 Sunoh, Hye Young has always been the perfect guy. Sunjo: Started with a physical attraction and obsession before love, Jojo said when they kissed, if they had love alarm on at the moment, their love alarms wouldn't have rang cause the urge to kiss came before love for both of them. Their love wasn't built on a solid foundation cause they barely knew eachother except they knew they had scars from their parents. Why did they break up? There was a break in communication. The shield was a block. One person felt insecure and small and couldn't hold on. If they really knew and loved eachother so much why did they break up and why couldn't they wait for one another? Have you asked yourself this?. I guess not cause you haven't seen this. Also, if Jojo loved Sun Oh so much like most of you made it seem like, why didn't she use the spear on him and decided to use it on Hye Yeong, cause she had moved on and fallen in love with another person, it's as simple as that. During Sun Oh and Jojo's high school days, they were very immature and never really understood what love really is. Of course they had this picture of love being all sparkles and roses and not the difficult part of it. It was the flash of lightning before thunder and when they got to thunder, everything came crashing down. Hyejo: Started off as genuinely getting to know eachother and being there for one another, they went on dates talking about their likes and dislikes. They saw the broken parts of eachother and didn't try to magically fix it, what they needed was eachother, being a companion and not a lover cause that's what they needed. They went on a journey of healing, If Jojo never loved Hye Yeong like most of you people make it seem like, why would she give him hope by saying, "I can't ring your alarm but I'm trying to find happiness, are you okay with that?. She said that cause she saw something special in Hye Yeong and had the courage to pursue love. Duk Gu said everything happened as a result of timing and volition. Jojo's alarm was a bug cause she didn't clearly understand and trust her feelings and relied on the app to protect herself cause she was scared, the moment she felt sure of her feelings, she felt the only was to tell the other person was to ring his alarm cause in their world, if you love someone, it had to ring, that shows how scared she was confessing with words. Duk Gu clearly also explained she loved Hye Yeong but was scared cause she had never seen her alarm ring for him before, that's how much society makes us trust technology so much, we loose faith in ourselves and cannot make choices logically. That was the point of the drama.

In season 1, I've seen enough to be a team Hyeyeong. Right from the start he caught my attention. That's why I have no doubt why Jojo chose Hyehyeong over SunOh.

I'm very happy with the endgame, and with how it ended but I just feel like I needed more sweet moments from Jojo and Hye Yeong and Sun Oh with Yuk Jo.. The sweet scenes seemed too little for me, I craved for more 😭😭

just finished the s2 and eventhough i’m in sun-oh’s team, seeing how sincere and patient hyeyoung is, it really touches and warms my heart.. never have i ever seen a character like hyeyoung, the way he said *“i will keep liking you, so you don’t need to be pressured”* to jojo please i-😭 he’s the best character i’ve ever seen i’m happy that they end up together, they deserve each other, jojo chose the right guy actually :)
I’d like to break down some points of the series and why I like it. If you don’t like reading long essays, you may stop here. Hahahaha! For those putting the blame on Hye-yeong for not confessing first. I replied this as a comment somewhere here but here it is. The only reason Hye-yeong denied it was because the first time, Jojo was in a relationship with Il-sik. He’s not the type of person who would steal a girl or make the girl’s life complicated. He didn’t know Jojo wasn’t actually in love with Il-sik. He was waiting for her to be single before he made a move. The second time was when Sun-oh deliberately kissed Jojo to get a reaction from Hye-yeong while he kept insisting that he tells him the truth (‘cause obviously Sun-oh knew Hye-yeong liked her. Even the driver/PA told him that.), Hye-yeong actually thought Sun-oh really liked her. He said “What about you? Why did you kiss her? I’ll answer your question if you answer mine”. He also told Sun-oh, “No matter how many times you ask, my answer is still the same. I don’t like Kim Jojo BECAUSE YOU LIKE HER.”. Hye-yeong ALWAYS put Sun-oh first since childhood and knowing his bestfriend liked the girl he likes, he backed away. (Very different from what Sun-oh did). Remember when Hye-yeong was talking to Jojo about HS after 4 years and admitting his feelings? He said, “I deleted the Love Alarm because I thought it would make things complicated. But I should’ve just rang your love alarm then.” Again, it wasn’t because he didn’t want to act up on it. He wanted to tell her he liked her. He just considered everyone else’s feelings and situations first. Especially since it involved both Jojo and Sun-oh. Two people he cared most about. 😊 So really, I don’t think it’s fair for other people to blame Hye-yeong for not confessing first just because Sun-oh was so head on aggressive about his feelings. Sun-oh’s approach was sort of self-centered because he was the type of person who craves attention from what he’s lacking from his family. Hye-yeong was the only person giving him that and he got jealous of Jojo because she was taking Hye-yeong’s attention from him. That’s why he kissed Jojo in the first place. To get a reaction from Hye-yeong. His feelings just developed over time since when Jojo finally rang his love alarm, he wanted so much to keep that love but couldn’t see past the fleeting moments with her. As for Jojo’s reason. While I understand that he was trying to do good with his relationship with Jojo during HS, Sun-oh, without realizing it was actually doing these things for himself as well. He wanted to keep Jojo because he felt happy with her. She did mention in season one that even though Sun-oh was good to her there was a line in their convenience store where Sun-oh texted her he’d always ring her love alarm, she said, “I didn’t do anything wrong. But why do I feel so small?” He was blind to what Jojo actually felt and needed. Hye-yeong didn’t need Jojo to tell him what she felt. As he said, “How can I not know, when I can see it so clearly?” Sun-oh did care for Jojo. But it was misplaced because he couldn’t understand or see her struggles without her telling him. Even to the last minute, he still can’t figure out Jojo and kept asking her why she broke-up with him or insisting that she still likes him even when Jojo already told him no. He’s been ignorant until the last season where he couldn’t even admit to himself that Jojo already liked Hye-yeong and not him.😅 Maybe to other people who are centered on Sun-oh like he is to himself, he looked like the victim and didn’t do anything wrong. But when you’re not the “right one”, it can never be forced. He can’t force Jojo like when he kissed her without her consent and her being in a relationship yet again and with his best friend! 😩 If Hye-yeong did that when he was in a relationship with Jojo, he’d flip. (but we all know that’s not Hye-yeong style). Jojo felt something wrong about their relationship and it wasn’t healthy that’s why she installed the shield and broke-up with him. But she felt more happy and at ease with Hye-yeong. There weren’t so many complications and drama. That’s why she wanted to uninstall the shield and express her feelings to Hye-yeong. 😊😅 Like in real life, even when you love a person, but you feel incomplete, would you still stay in that relationship when you can be completely happy and healthy with someone else? In a relationship that doesn’t feel like it’s a burden but things just go smoothly? 😅 I mean Jojo was clearly was giving more effort and care with her relationship with Hye-yeong than she did with Sun-oh and she didn’t even feel small or any burden at all. Based on that alone, you could tell who she valued more. Hehe. 😊✌🏼 As for Hye-yeong being “selfish”. I don’t think that’s fair since Sun-oh did that to him first. Hye-yeong always put Sun-oh first in everything. Even with Jojo in the first season. He didn’t even get mad a Sun-oh for pursuing Jojo. If Sun-oh can express his feelings, why can’t Hye-yeong when Jojo was already single? Sun-oh also denied that he still has feelings for her but HY said “Well, I still do.” He realized he couldn’t let Jojo go so he finally tried when it was the right time. If Sun-oh was a true friend, he would’t get mad at Hye-yeong when Hye-yeong didn’t get mad at him when he came for Jojo. Hye-yeong didn’t abandon Sun-oh. Sun-oh pushed him away because of Jojo. He said “Go to Jojo! But don’t come back here again.” So yeah, I don’t think HY left him by his choice. 😅 why did he try to leave the house? He only rented an apartment because he too was feeling small living in a house that wasn’t his. Also maybe because it would make Sun-oh uncomfortable with him dating Jojo. But it didn’t mean he wanted to stop being friends with Sun-oh. He didn’t have ill feelings with him. It was the other way around. 😊 However, I do think it was a good touch that they still gave Sun-oh maturity towards the last episode with his relationship with his mom, how he finally accepted the truth about Jojo and how he treated Yukjo. 👍🏼 The End. 😂
The others hated the cinematography of this season, but I guess this was much more better because they're not high schoolers anymore, it's not about cute romance and butterfly season, it's about a more mature and serious beautiful love season

This series has the most logical and realistic ending. Sunoh was her first love but she actually found Herself when she was with Hye yeoung. Hye yeoung was the one who impacted her life so much.
Hye yeoung was most mature and never questioned why Jojo felt such nd such way. When he said tht she shld be sincere whether if its good or bad,thts when the whole plot flipped becs thts when she accepted herself and became confident. The story was much more thn Sunoh and Jojo high school love. It was abt acceptance and loving a person unconditionally. The whole plot was actually based on Hye yeoung love for Jojo and thts why Love Alarm came into existence.

This is such a beautiful series. A lot of people are just too shallow and only cares about who ends up with who. They forget that this series is about a broken messed up girl with a traumatic past. Its about her journey of coming to terms with her past in order to completely love someone. And she does this in a toxic society where your feelings are out in the open as symbolicly represented by a mobile phone app and where people are obsessed with having their love alarm ring just like in our social media today where people are so obsessed with getting hearts and likes.

Okay here are my thoughts but I really liked season 2. First of all, despite the love triangle, Jojo finally accepted her past as something that she never hated but has just been so heavy for her and made her doubt all of her decisions and relationships. The way that the writers depicted her acceptance and love for her past being able to shape who she was as she grew stronger was so beautiful.
Next, Hyeyeong deserves her so much. No chemistry? People say this because of course you are focused on Sunoh so I won’t even force those to see unless they realize why Hyeyeong was the healthiest choice. Jojo was able to love him with her own volition because he was patient for her and never pressured her into liking him back. Sunoh yells at her even when they weren’t together (staircase scene) insisting that she still likes him because he still couldn’t accept it and yes I do understand his pain but this is unhealthy in the longrun and is toxic, there was no need to yell she was standing right there... anyways, you can say “Sunoh only did that because he was hurt” but when Hyeyeong was hurt because he found out she used a spear knowing that genuinely ringing his love alarm without anything like the spear meant so much to him, he simply walked away in pain and before that, he calmly, yet with a lot of hidden pain, told her how he felt before they separated. He was always there for her even from the start.
If we want to dive into the background too, Sunoh only liked her because he wanted to see who Hyeyeong was liking so much. Sunoh’s first interaction with Jojo was a kiss behind a back wall while they were highschool students. Not saying that highschool relationships don’t last because they do but, in their case, basing your relationship on something physical is never an amazing way to do it. Yes, you could say they still had an emotional connection but that was after and you can’t take that initial first physical interaction away that is Jojo and Sunoh’s foundation. Hyeyeong was so determined to do it the old-fashioned way on the down low as much as he can. You can say “Oh, but he did that ringing her alarm thing in the cafeteria at her school in the first ep of s2, isn’t that being public so how is it different?” It’s different because he is not a celebrity, they are just normal people going about their lives. Sunoh is already a celebrity and for him to cause scenes like that even if he wasn’t thinking about it, still is harmful to Jojo’s reputation and even his. It affects both of them and drains energy whether they like it or not. She is the type to not want to be put on the spot if it’s the case like Sunoh did where he yelled at everyone to leave his meter radius to see if she would ring his alarm in highschool.
Lastly, people say Sunoh had Jojo first. Okay but Hyeyeong liked her first anddd Sunoh knew this and still kissed her and told him with his whole chest that same day knowing it would hurt Hyeyeong. Then, Hyeyeong still watched from a distance admiring Jojo yet not doing anything when she was with Sunoh. However when Sunoh knew Hyeyeong was with Jojo now in s2, he didn’t back away.
I just had to get this off my chest. If Sunoh people don’t want to call it “toxic” as many of us who liked the ending, it was just unhealthy for Joio who wanted to be there for herself first with someone softspoken, sweet, caring, patient, and kind to her.
Either way, please just focus on our girl Jojo if it hurts that Sunoh wasn’t the main lead even if in the webtoon it was Hyeyeong as of now. She had the most traumatic past and she can now live in peace with it.

Sunoh and Jojo's love was more like a distraction from their own problems. It was filled with high school attraction, butterflies, and they were up in the clouds. When they fell on the motorcycle scene she said that she wished it wasn't a dream being with him. But that's how their love felt like to her...it was so unreal like a dream that at any moment she could wake up and he would be gone (or her relationship with him would fall apart). But that scene gave us her true feelings of her relationship with Sun Oh...she never felt secured and they had this gap between them (status) that its understandable why she felt like being with him was like being in a dream so she made her choice by using the shield. Although it hided her true feelings for Sun Oh at the time...the shield was her choice that lead to her new love with Hye-yeong who made her want to take her shield away. With Hye-yeong she felt grounded, secured, and was no longer running but instead fighting for her reality in happiness. The best part is Jo Jo was able to trust at the end. People who are team Sun Oh might think the transition didn't make sense from season 1 to season 2, but I felt it made perfect sense since she was no longer dreaming or reliant on her love alarm. People got to understand that it was her choice to use the shield and she made it clear that if she could go back in time she would do the exact same thing all over again...cause although she regretted it then her current self doesn't and believes she made the best choice. With that said, Love is complex and I was very satisfied with the ending since personally it was more realistic:)
Soooo true. I love to see their characters grow. Cz loving someone is not only about finding a comfort zone, it's also about growing up. Honestly, loving sunoh will always make her feel burdened. She keeps looking down at herself. She feels so small. Eventhough it felt so wrong to me to see jojo & sun oh didn't end up together, i havr to admit that hyeyoung truly loves jojo and he is very capable of making jojo feels so loved

That's what you call unconditional love. And that was the kind of love that a broken person like Jojo needed. This type of love really helped Jojo in coming to terms with her traumatic past which has burdened her for a very long time.
Hye-Yeong is the epitome of what every man should be. He's so wholesome, sincere, supportive, and patient. Seriously, how can this drama create such wretched tension in my heart, yet fill it so full that I want to explode. I don't remember when was the last fictional character that has swayed me this much, let alone a damn Kdrama. I've cringed so many times at Korean dramas, but not this couple. If this is not goals, then I don't know what love is anymore. Can we please have more guys in Kdramas like Hye-Yeong in the future? Or maybe hold that thought because then I'll be spellbound again and I don't want to share this character with anyone who can't see this beauty.

This is a long post about my feels for Love Alarm Season 2 and why it's just right the Hyeyeong got the girl.
1. "In this world, if you love someone, it has to ring" - people have become so dependent on Love Alarm that they thought if it doesn't ring, it's not love (HyeYeong and Jojo / YukJo and SunOh). That's why people missed the point. SunOh did not ring YukJo's love alarm but he goes to her every time. He considers her as his safe haven. When YukJo was gone for a month, he rang her doorbell every day because that is how much he craves her presence. If that wasn't love, I don't know what is.
2. At the same time, people thought that if they rang each other's love alarm, they have to date(Sun Oh and Jojo). They thought of love as merely a feeling. But it wasn't. In real life, even if we love someone, if it is too heavy for us to sustain that love. We break up with them even if we still love them. That's why even if Jojo did not install the shield and still have feelings for SunOh, if she wanted to stop dating him (in a world without love alarm), they would have stopped dating. BECAUSE LOVE IS A CHOICE YOU CONSTANTLY MAKE.
3. In terms of relationship dynamics. Jojo and SunOh are typical passionate and toxic relationship. It is a love that consumes you. Chemistry- that's why a lot of us chose to ignore the fact that the start of that relationship was already problematic because Jojo was in a relationship. Even if she doesn't feel for the guy, she should have broken up with him before kissing SunOh. But no. Although there is lots of merits in their relationship because they share the same pain with their families, their relationship became too heavy in the end. On top of Jojo's other problems, she just can't sustain it because she was young. It was still wrong of her to end it without explanation. But as she said in S2, she was immature at that time. And that is the truth that we have to accept. What baffled me was SunOh hasn't moved on after 4 years but he is already dating a different girl... Like why? As far as I saw, nobody forced him to date YukJo, so if he was still hang up on Jojo, why did he date her?
4. My favorite dynamics was Jojo and Hyeyeong's relationship. Mostly because it is super unconventional. He did not do anything about his feelings for whole ass 5 episodes??? BRO. Kidding. I understand him. He chose to respect Jojo's relationships. Honestly, at first, I don't think I could ever ship them because my belief is, Love is a choice. So if he chose not to confess or tell her feelings, he wasn't desperate enough for her love. Later did I realize that, it is not true. He wants to be loved too. But he was level-headed. He knows respect and boundaries and he prioritizes Jojo's feelings over everything else. He just doesn't want to cause her more pain and problems. That's why when he confessed, he told her not to be pressured, that he just wanted to express his love.
5. Jojo's growth because of Hyeyeong. Hyeyeong first expressed his feelings when he said "you've been lonely for too long that you don't notice anymore" "I can see your loneliness clearly". Later on, Jojo did the same thing for Hyeyeong when he was under the weather due to his dad. It was symbolized by the necktie when Jojo said, "I know how to do it now because you taught me how to do it" Jojo learned to ask help and give help because Hyeyeong showed it to her. Same with how Jojo put her shield up because of SunOh but she wanted to remove it because of Hyeyeong. Hyeyeong made Jojo a better and more mature person.
6. Lastly, Jojo and Hyeyeong's relationship. It's not boring... :( It was just pure and mature. Not as passionate, but it was certain. They weren't in HS anymore unlike in S1.

i couldnt agree more you explained it beautifully, i just wanted to add something, the fact that hye hyeong could help her heal her trauma is really heart warming too, when the video of sunoh and jojo came out, jojo didnt think of running away like her past self would, she was worried about how hurt hye hyeong would be and she knew she needed to go to him thats why she went to his house, i just found it cute how their relationship is healthy and like an old couple loving each other selflessly, at that moment they both were worried about each other, it shows how much they both love and care about each other’s being and feelings
They did justice by letting her give HY a chance, most kdramas the FL would never gave the other guy a chance but LA did. It reversed all the typical clichés and stereotypes, HY did so much for her, she understood that and try dating him to see if it works out. If it didn't work out then they would call it quits, it wasn't forced because HY said that it's okay to dump him because that's romantic to him. He is that selfless and JJ would break up with him if it didn't work out but it did, that was a miracle to him cause she indeed truly loved him. I wish people can understand that more.

The most emotional part for me on s2 was when JoJo overcame her weakness and trauma, and lifted the heavy burden she's been carrying for too long, the one who was waiting for her on the finish line, was Hyeyeong! It's always been him.
Choosing HY maybe a rational decision but Jojo made the best choice ever! She chose him out of love alarm!!! Honestly i got angry for those people who're keep telling that season 2 shouldn't happened because Sun oh and Jojo didn't end up together. Those people were extra toxic focusing on actors more than the story love alam is relaying.
They are so close minded to the people who has gone through traumas. Like in real life, many people immediately judge the decisions of others. Someday when people get mature, they'll understand and appreciate the message of this series

This kdrama has to be the best looking out there, every scene and moment is just so beautiful. It also feels likethe music and the scenery has a deep meaning or emotion behind/to it...
This is the most realistic kdrama i've seen so far. It tells the story of a person that has to make hard choices, they hurted people but also loved and we all live that kind of situation in some moment of our lives. Its not about 'who am i end up with' its about who she really loved and accept her past and walking free into the future she wants with her loved ones because you can't truly live the present (and future) if you are still stocked and hurt because of the past.
That love alarm log left me in awe on how many times Jojo fell in love with Hye-yeong ❤️ felt so relieved and contented.
watching love alarm taught me that love is not just a mere feeling, but also a choice. it is a commitment not just to our lover, but also to ourselves.

And idk just the story of them meeting after work, is so comforting and beautiful and what i really want in life. The way she was worried about hyeyeong when sun oh came to see her, the way she wants to see hyeyeong every now and then. Thats love. Difference between Sunjo and Hyejo love stories.
Sunjo: Started with a physical attraction and obsession before love, Jojo said when they kissed, if they had love alarm on at the moment, their love alarms wouldn't have rang cause the urge to kiss came before love for both of them. Their love wasn't built on a solid foundation cause they barely knew eachother except they knew they had scars from their parents. Why did they break up?
There was a break in communication. The shield was a block. One person felt insecure and small and couldn't hold on. If they really knew and loved eachother so much why did they break up and why couldn't they wait for one another? Have you asked yourself this?. I guess not cause you haven't seen this. Also, if Jojo loved Sun Oh so much like most of you made it seem like, why didn't she use the spear on him and decided to use it on Hye Yeong, cause she had moved on and fallen in love with another person, it's as simple as that.
During Sun Oh and Jojo's high school days, they were very immature and never really understood what love really is. Of course they had this picture of love being all sparkles and roses and not the difficult part of it. It was the flash of lightning before thunder and when they got to thunder, everything came crashing down.
Hyejo: Started off as genuinely getting to know eachother and being there for one another, they went on dates talking about their likes and dislikes. They saw the broken parts of eachother and didn't try to magically fix it, what they needed was eachother, being a companion and not a lover cause that's what they needed. They went on a journey of healing, If Jojo never loved Hye Yeong like most of you people make it seem like, why would she give him hope by saying, "I can't ring your alarm but I'm trying to find happiness, are you okay with that?. She said that cause she saw something special in Hye Yeong and had the courage to pursue love.
Duk Gu said everything happened as a result of timing and volition. Jojo's alarm was a bug cause she didn't clearly understand and trust her feelings and relied on the app to protect herself cause she was scared, the moment she felt sure of her feelings, she felt the only was to tell the other person was to ring his alarm cause in their world, if you love someone, it had to ring, that shows how scared she was confessing with words. Duk Gu clearly also explained she loved Hye Yeong but was scared cause she had never seen her alarm ring for him before, that's how much society makes us trust technology so much, we loose faith in ourselves and cannot make choices logically. That was the point of the drama.
There's just something else about the Love Alarm OST's. The best scene is when Hye Yeong kept ringing her alarm in the cafeteria

My favorite OST. It remind me the bridge scene, where Jojo choose to ring Hyeyong love alarm. Kim sohyun and Jung Garam have great chemistry. It's beautiful. I'm happy for them
just finished the s2 and eventhough i’m in sun-oh’s team, seeing how sincere and patient hyeyoung is, it really touches and warms my heart..
never have i ever seen a character like hyeyoung, the way he said *“i will keep liking you, so you don’t need to be pressured”* to jojo please i-😭 he’s the best character i’ve ever seen
i’m happy that they end up together, they deserve each other, jojo chose the right guy actually :)
I’d like to break down some points of the series and why I like it. If you don’t like reading long essays, you may stop here. Hahahaha!
For those putting the blame on Hye-yeong for not confessing first. I replied this as a comment somewhere here but here it is. The only reason Hye-yeong denied it was because the first time, Jojo was in a relationship with Il-sik. He’s not the type of person who would steal a girl or make the girl’s life complicated. He didn’t know Jojo wasn’t actually in love with Il-sik. He was waiting for her to be single before he made a move.
The second time was when Sun-oh deliberately kissed Jojo to get a reaction from Hye-yeong while he kept insisting that he tells him the truth (‘cause obviously Sun-oh knew Hye-yeong liked her. Even the driver/PA told him that.), Hye-yeong actually thought Sun-oh really liked her. He said “What about you? Why did you kiss her? I’ll answer your question if you answer mine”. He also told Sun-oh, “No matter how many times you ask, my answer is still the same. I don’t like Kim Jojo BECAUSE YOU LIKE HER.”. Hye-yeong ALWAYS put Sun-oh first since childhood and knowing his bestfriend liked the girl he likes, he backed away. (Very different from what Sun-oh did). Remember when Hye-yeong was talking to Jojo about HS after 4 years and admitting his feelings? He said, “I deleted the Love Alarm because I thought it would make things complicated. But I should’ve just rang your love alarm then.” Again, it wasn’t because he didn’t want to act up on it. He wanted to tell her he liked her. He just considered everyone else’s feelings and situations first. Especially since it involved both Jojo and Sun-oh. Two people he cared most about. 😊
So really, I don’t think it’s fair for other people to blame Hye-yeong for not confessing first just because Sun-oh was so head on aggressive about his feelings. Sun-oh’s approach was sort of self-centered because he was the type of person who craves attention from what he’s lacking from his family. Hye-yeong was the only person giving him that and he got jealous of Jojo because she was taking Hye-yeong’s attention from him. That’s why he kissed Jojo in the first place. To get a reaction from Hye-yeong. His feelings just developed over time since when Jojo finally rang his love alarm, he wanted so much to keep that love but couldn’t see past the fleeting moments with her.
As for Jojo’s reason. While I understand that he was trying to do good with his relationship with Jojo during HS, Sun-oh, without realizing it was actually doing these things for himself as well. He wanted to keep Jojo because he felt happy with her. She did mention in season one that even though Sun-oh was good to her there was a line in their convenience store where Sun-oh texted her he’d always ring her love alarm, she said, “I didn’t do anything wrong. But why do I feel so small?” He was blind to what Jojo actually felt and needed. Hye-yeong didn’t need Jojo to tell him what she felt. As he said, “How can I not know, when I can see it so clearly?”
Sun-oh did care for Jojo. But it was misplaced because he couldn’t understand or see her struggles without her telling him. Even to the last minute, he still can’t figure out Jojo and kept asking her why she broke-up with him or insisting that she still likes him even when Jojo already told him no. He’s been ignorant until the last season where he couldn’t even admit to himself that Jojo already liked Hye-yeong and not him.😅
Maybe to other people who are centered on Sun-oh like he is to himself, he looked like the victim and didn’t do anything wrong. But when you’re not the “right one”, it can never be forced. He can’t force Jojo like when he kissed her without her consent and her being in a relationship yet again and with his best friend! 😩 If Hye-yeong did that when he was in a relationship with Jojo, he’d flip. (but we all
know that’s not Hye-yeong style). Jojo felt something wrong about their relationship and it wasn’t healthy that’s why she installed the shield and broke-up with him. But she felt more happy and at ease with Hye-yeong. There weren’t so many complications and drama. That’s why she wanted to uninstall the shield and express her feelings to Hye-yeong. 😊😅
Like in real life, even when you love a person, but you feel incomplete, would you still stay in that relationship when you can be completely happy and healthy with someone else? In a relationship that doesn’t feel like it’s a burden but things just go smoothly? 😅 I mean Jojo was clearly was giving more effort and care with her relationship with Hye-yeong than she did with Sun-oh and she didn’t even feel small or any burden at all. Based on that alone, you could tell who she valued more. Hehe. 😊✌🏼
As for Hye-yeong being “selfish”. I don’t think that’s fair since Sun-oh did that to him first. Hye-yeong always put Sun-oh first in everything. Even with Jojo in the first season. He didn’t even get mad a Sun-oh for pursuing Jojo. If Sun-oh can express his feelings, why can’t Hye-yeong when Jojo was already single? Sun-oh also denied that he still has feelings for her but HY said “Well, I still do.” He realized he couldn’t let Jojo go so he finally tried when it was the right time. If Sun-oh was a true friend, he would’t get mad at Hye-yeong when Hye-yeong didn’t get mad at him when he came for Jojo. Hye-yeong didn’t abandon Sun-oh. Sun-oh pushed him away because of Jojo. He said “Go to Jojo! But don’t come back here again.” So yeah, I don’t think HY left him by his choice. 😅 why did he try to leave the house? He only rented an apartment because he too was feeling small living in a house that wasn’t his. Also maybe because it would make Sun-oh uncomfortable with him dating Jojo. But it didn’t mean he wanted to stop being friends with Sun-oh. He didn’t have ill feelings with him. It was the other way around. 😊
However, I do think it was a good touch that they still gave Sun-oh maturity towards the last episode with his relationship with his mom, how he finally accepted the truth about Jojo and how he treated Yukjo. 👍🏼

The others hated the cinematography of this season, but I guess this was much more better because they're not high schoolers anymore, it's not about cute romance and butterfly season, it's about a more mature and serious beautiful love season

I think that hye yeong is the main leader even in season 1.
A lot of people are hating the ending but I'm one of the few who actually love it. I really admire Hye Young's character. It was portrayed very well also.

Hye young is the best I love that she chose him💖💖it’s not about the good looking rich guys it’s more about the guy who has a good heart,always patiently waited for her even when she had a boyfriend even though he liked her so much he still respected her relationship that’s a GOOD DECENT PERSON not some rich spoilt guy who is use to getting what he wants🤷🏻♀️

Can’t believe all the mature comments I get to read here. It’s the most realistic portrayal of a real relationship I’ve ever seen on a tv show, not to mention a kdrama. It’s so stupid how people can call her selfish for continuously rejecting a guy she told several times she didn’t have any feelings for anymore. And choosing someone that is actually considerate enough to put her feelings first.
That reunion and reconciliation with herself was beautiful 💜💜💜
