Very helpful, thanks. I'm rebuilding one of the boom cylinders on a Case 30 backhoe that is mounted on the backend of a Case W20B frontend wheel loader (weird I know). The boom cylinders don't have a set screw on the gland nut, probably because they (there are two) are smaller than the dipper cylinder, which I will be doing next spring.
I just bought a 1966 ck case 530 188 Diesel Backhoe for $2500.00 the man that I bought the Backhoe I know him well he had the Diesel engine rebuild all new hydraulic hoses has been replaced every hydraulic cylinder has been repaired new front tires new Battery now I'm in the process of painting the Backhoe back to the factory color case yellow and buying the 4 case decals one gal can of case yellow paint is $100.00 I'm painting the Backhoe before winter gets here
I have disconnected BOTH hydraulic lines AND taken the gland nut out but the pin at the top pivot wont come out. It seems to still have resistance/pressure on the pin. The pin IS well greased. Any help anyone??
Thanks for the video. Just got a 580B and need to do all the cylinders. Looks like we have a similar tool box. Did you get your seals from CASE or a seal company? I have never done this before so I am a bit nervous, so your video will be very helpful!!
