I actually just restarted an island, I had the one that’s deleted since the beginning but I’m loving the fresh start. You actually inspire me a lot with your island, doing what you like and making it a year round island. I never finished an island before and got bumped out a lot because I was worried it wasn’t as pretty or good as the ones online (youtube, insta). Also it’s so hard completing an island for just one season etc. I was always bumped I didn’t ever make it in time. To make a long story short, you inspire me to just build and make what I want and like and not worry about other things. 😊

I made a drive in movie theater with like a backyard style so instead of cars I used the tricycle and bike (cheaper). I’ve also made a soup dinner and a Brewsters cafe. Any suggestions for the museum? Everywhere I put seems like a bad spot. Kinda tempted to add an arcade in front of it?

I love the market! It’s super cute and I think it can work great on your island. To make it less cluttered, you could narrow your river that’s to the left so you have more room for the street/items. I also think the retro transportation stops (maybe even the storefronts) are giving it rustic vibes, which your island overall doesn’t have as much of. Maybe tie in some more metal items that you use through the rest of your island, like the iron fence, fence item, outdoor tables and benches etc.I recently tried to turn my fall island into winter seasonally, like you’re doing. But now I’ve uprooted the whole thing because I couldn’t get any flowers or paths to match the snow lol. It’s never-ending. I’ve been enjoying ooblets more lately, thanks for introducing me :)

I don’t think the issue with the farmers market is necessarily that it’s too messy. I think it would look better if you maybe try using stalls instead. The other furniture items on your island are more new and clean looking and I think that’s why it might feel out of place

4:42 I think personally it seems more city Japanese core? Like your island is a very colorful city core, and that area kinda looks not so colorful like the other island, and I think the road looks a bit off since its just like a random road.

I think it would be cool if you pulled the car's back just a little bit so that maybe you could put a couple blankets for outdoor seating in the drive-in
You should change the custom design on your market stalls. I think they fit for city themes but it looks a little drab compared to the rest of your island.
4:30 i think another tree in the bottom left (basically move the sapling up one space) would add a pop of color on the walk up and also would make sense with the pile of leaves there. the other thing i would try maybe is finding a road texture with autumn leaves on it, i think its lacking your warmth, its very.. cold.. mostly bc of the buildings mixed with the road, its very.. industrial.. but i think more warm fall colors could work some magic. maybe throw the orange flower on top of the cardboard boxes on the right? i think its worth playing around with, there's potential there imo. edit: other ideas that arent as easy: swap the table picnic area and the musical area around (could lose the piano if you wanted, maybe replace with barrel? + whatever decor on top that you havent used a ton of ya kno?), and make sure you can have a seat and drink your coffee there by the lil river moment. leaf stool for bookstore could be cute. OH maybe replace the road entirely with brick? the reds from that could potentially be very fall-y? just a thought. but it would prob heavily clash with the path leading into the farmers market area.
Maybe you could put the party lights in front of the movie screen? I don’t know how it would look or if it would even fit but I’m just curious. Also, I loveeee how the flower field came out!!! Everything looks so cute

I've been working on a fall rebuild that's mainly Halloween/spooky themed. I'm going to keep some of the aspects going forward, like the graveyard I put together. I made a huuuge pumpkin patch and replaced a lot of bamboo with apple/regular/pine trees and I've been filling in some gaps that just didn't have anything at all. My villagers have a new little dining nook lol, but they never go and sit in any of the places I set up for them :(

I have a forever seasonal island, I'm finding what works best for me is grouping same-colour or similar colour flowers together and accenting them with seasonal decorations, I feel like you can make a wider variety of flower colours work for each season with the right accents and decorations
it feels like every time by the time the season is over i just finished decorating for the season and have to start doing the next

I am definitely too lazy to redecorate my whole island for the season but I like redoing my house exterior and bits of my yard for certain holidays
I use the transparent tile to and when im building i use green but only on the 8 tiles in the middle of the tile
you dont have to travel back to your island when you're at cyrus, just talk to the guy on the left and he'll let you see your inventory :>
