I'd change the tactic for afew games and then go back to the standard. I'd also keep the wing defenders at home for a few games and then set back to where they were. I'd say go 4-3-3 DM Wide. Even if you don't have a DM play your spare CB or your spare wing defender at DM. If you get a a couple of draws or wins, go back to the old system. This is the type of stupid FM stuff I've been having to do with full professional squads as well.
Well... you do have the choice to go back to Control Possession system? You enjoyed it. Or maybe just for away matches with a different formation? I definitely recall you having a different system for big away matches in a previous save.
adam harrison in goal for dartford having a much better time of it than he did in my save, i binned him off completely before national league north/south level and he's back down at tier 8
