A very underappreciated song by Disturbed is called Darkness. It's a slower song and David sings all clean vocals. It's similar to the style of Sound of Silence.
Came for vocals breakdown. Can't help but stare at the shirt the whole time. It is A-MA-ZING. Now I want one for myself. And Beth looks gorgeous. I don't know what it is in that look, but it just hit me in the right spot.
In 2000 I saw Disturbed at Ozzfest and we all went crazy in the mosh pit, it was such a good show. So when I was waiting for Kittie to get on stage, the lead singer of Disturbed came out and started shaking my hand. I didn't even know who he was at first until I recognized his double piercings. He said he was so impressed by my moshing that he had to come out and find me to tell me so, and luckily I was right up front holding on to the fence exhausted from the show. I've seen a lot of metal bands live and the crowd rarely goes as wild as I saw it that day.
I always love it when you dig into rock music. Whether it's classic rock of modern rock. So many people stick to a 1-2 genres and aren't willing to branch out.
David has unbelievable mastery of that beautiful voice of his! The man can do anything with it and can sing anything. He'll also put his own twist on things! Thanks Beth....
I truly appreciate your channel. So many vocal coaches (or people in general) will dismiss Hard Rock or Metal music as being just loud noise with singers that just scream. You actually recognize the technical skills and talent that go into singing in these genre but more so than that you are a fan. Your eyes, smile and face lights up and when it's a particularly heavy tune you'll even frown and snarl. I gladly hit the pit with you at a gig anytime.
He epitomizes what hard rock is vocally. Draimen's latest hit "Dead Inside" with Nita Strauss is absolutely INCREDIBLE! it stood at #1 on the rock charts for weeks, and made history for Nita. So worth the watch! Bonus is no swearing. lol
This song is my ringtone. Lol. David Draiman is an AMAZING singer and the band in its entirety is so tremendously talented, they're in rotation on my playlist daily in some form or fashion. Love that their lyrics are meaningful and there is not another band that can sound like them! Great analysis, thanks! ❤
Indestructible is on par, if not better than Down with the Sickness. I love watching you react. I don't always comment. The way you break things down and really vibe with the music is great to watch!
if you start listening to Disturbed i always recommend "inside the fire" even though it has a very heavy topic, it has all the parts that makes a great Disturbed song
It's interesting to hear your take on singers vocally but if you knew nothing about it I'd still watch your reaction videos. I love how you show your joy so outwardly and unashamedly. It's contagious!
We sometimes forget that some of singing comes from the very soul and projects to the mechanics. If you truly feel it, you will produce it. Also, the lyrics. There was a powerful meaning to this song. It’s actually sad.
I feel like, "he is such a good singer" is something that is very often heard when "normals" listen to metal and metal singers are so underappreciated!
This used to be our warm up song when, I played Jr hockey. Coach made us change the song because too many fights kept breaking out within the first minute!
If you haven't already check out Lajon from the band Sevendust. First time i heard the track Black i was absolutely blown away. He's also well known for Angels son off the Lynn Strait remembrance album
You're so cute 😍 I love it when reactors are genuinely excited and share in it with our fav songs and bands. You do you cause that's what we want to see, authenticity!
I guess we all sometimes just give some genre a try and not to many others that we miss many great artists. I'm happy you reacted to the sickness as well. Got really pumped up by just listening. Salutations Beth.
There are So Many Amazing songs by Disturbed. There's heavy hard rocking songs like Indestructible Conflict The Game The Amimal, to name a few (there's So many more though), then there's deeper songs like The Light and My Child then there's soft and deep like The Sound of Slience and A Reason to Fight( I recommend watching the live version of that song although the music video was amazing) and Hold On To Memories.
A good one the analyse is Disturbed - The Night [Live in Raleigh], is a very high tone song, is more recent. David through the years has improved his voice tremendously, is good to see him grow. Who Taught You How To Hate? [Live in Virginia Beach, VA] is another good one, here he collab with myles kennedy

I know this might be below you, but can you react to the time Spice Girls invited the late Pavarotti to sing "Viva Forever"? I'd love your take on it and it's also pretty funny how incredibly awkward he was on stage with them. but also the difference and contrast in voice and skill is just, phenomenal.
Unsolicited recommendation - You should totally check out the band Otyken, a Siberian folk pop band. "My Wing" is my favorite, but "Genesis" & "Storm" are amazing as well. A great showcase of some awesome vocal styles.
While we're looking at good singers in metal bands, I'd highly recommend you take a look at Warrel Dane's performance of Sentient 6 by Nevermore. There's a great quality video of a live performance on youtube. He trained for five years as an opera singer, he had an amazing range and dynamics and a great sense of drama about his singing. I think you'd appreciate his approach to the craft.
Ahh man, did the video cut off for you before he could do the, "Say our name with us; one time now..."? That sucks because it is powerful. The dood knows how to work a crowd. Not like Freddy -- I don't think anyone ever will -- but it is powerful and the energy is palpable nonetheless.
Hi there Beth, I have always thought the drums in this song are tribal. David is a deceptively good singer.. And the others are darn good also, Mike on drums, Dan on guitar, and John on bass. TAKE care girl....
Listen to ten thousand fist in the air. Or I still haven't found what I'm looking for by u2. They were able to make it their own. Or Phill Collins "land of confusion"
I would love to see your reaction to Mudvayne's Beautiful and Strange but there isn't any live versions of the song. Chad Grey let's out an amazing 17 second long scream during the song and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Great song and enjoyed your reaction and analysis. Please consider reacting to Disturbed's cover of Stings song "If I ever loose my faith in you" official video And their cover of Genesis song "Land of confusion" You could check out the original versions then compare to the cover versions. Just an idea
It's unfortunate that this is the quintessential disturbed song. They have such amazing tracks, darkness and a lot of the believe album, basically all the indestructible album, the lost children album is great too. Makes it so meh that this is the most common song people go to
Just a suggestion. Listen to more DISTURBED. Because you WILL find more GREAT Post/Songs like Sound of Silence. Yes, Heavy Metal is their main target, but they have done other songs that do not quite fall into that Genre. In my opinion they do NOTHING but greatness. I hope you enjoy whatever path you take with DISTURBED. Great Post by the way, and thank you for sharing it with us, Beth.
It’s cool cause you can tell he’s actually singing because it doesn’t sound exactly like the recorded version. Seems like a lot of artists are lip syncing to their own songs.
Hi! New release by ONE OK ROCK !! Please watching MV「Save Yourself」So cool ,and Intense !His high notes vocals are amazing! This song has a mixed English and Japanese version, and another, all English lyrics version .They are Japanese Rock Band!( Previously, They have collaborated with Ed Sheeran and Linkin Park)
"OOH-WA-AH-AH-AH!!!!" will always get me fired up.
I always listen to it at the gym. Very helpful when I'm not feeling motivated
Same
UH-UH!!
drum solo for me..
A very underappreciated song by Disturbed is called Darkness. It's a slower song and David sings all clean vocals. It's similar to the style of Sound of Silence.
Darkness cover me
Deny everything
Slowly walk away
To breathe again
On my own
Fantastic reaction. I’m 57 and just found and love these guys. What a fantastic voice. Luv from Australia 🎼❤️🎼❤️
Came for vocals breakdown.

I would recommend that you listen to Disturbed - The Light. A great showcase for his vocals as well.
10,000 fists, prayer, inside the fire, liberate, all amazing songs. You would enjoy they're entire catalog I'm almost positive of that
Man, 10,000 fists is so great
No people, that's not the studio version, it's David's outrageously talented vocals.
Miss Bungee has a New favband. Cool to be BFF with legend Melissa. The OG. Cheers!
Oh man... Saw them perform this song in concert when this first dropped and it was friggin amazing

@@Dr.Acula76 🤣
My ringtones are this song too.
Great job on this Beth! You have such fantastic enthusiasm for the music! That’s why I watch your videos! 🙂

@@hansele666 I've been listening to them since... the late 90s?. It has been one of those bands that never stop being good. :)
@@micheleosullivan4430 Their first record was in 2000. lol
@@BucsFanO22 Eh, it's hard to remember exact years when it becomes decades. It was just a guess.
That's my Disturbed song David's vocal in Indestructible is almost like second guitar he's got better cadence than some rappers today.

Its great learning from you to appreciate the skill in this style of singing and music. You explain it and demonstrate so well.
Wait wait wait wait....you were recommended....by DAVID'S TEACHER....for this performance?
I'm gonna need a few minutes to process this.
Right?!
You should hear his Hebrew singing; probably one of the cleanest metal singers out there. His shows are always as good as studio audio.
I feel like, "he is such a good singer" is something that is very often heard when "normals" listen to metal and metal singers are so underappreciated!
This used to be our warm up song when, I played Jr hockey. Coach made us change the song because too many fights kept breaking out within the first minute!
Thank you for using one of the rare uncut versions of this song.
Great Vedder slide...full on that melodic verve was so good
Distrubed...try Indestructible, The Light, Into the Fire, A Reason to Fight (live in Cleveland) and this is only scratching the surface!
Stricken really showcases his voice as well
If you haven't already check out Lajon from the band Sevendust. First time i heard the track Black i was absolutely blown away. He's also well known for Angels son off the Lynn Strait remembrance album

You should listen to the soundtrack from Queen of the Damned. David Draiman sounds amazing on it. Along with Jay Gordon from Orgy, and Marilyn Manson.

I absolutely love this proper little English redhead just rockin out to some great metal

Prayer is one of my faves also I’d recommend Uninvited Guest if you want more clean singing, really beautiful
I used to listen to their Believe album constantly when it came out. Prayer, Remember, and Liberate
Good lord I need to see them live
He has a very unique voice.

your outfit here definitely matched the genre! :-)
Saw them live on this tour they were great … But …P.O.D we’re on stage before them and we’ll they killed it
How can anyone not like Beth you are great love your reactions and your analysis and I like that bungie jumping video right on lol.
If you want to hear David "chop it up" you gotta listen to Indestructible.
Reacciona a la presentación de Miguel Asenjo con el tema de Miguel Mateos “Cuando seas grande” en The Voice Chile 2022
Love this song!
The only other bloke I can think of that does the wild octave jumps is Matt Bellamy & it's so fun at karaoke
Ahh man, did the video cut off for you before he could do the, "Say our name with us; one time now..."? That sucks because it is powerful. The dood knows how to work a crowd. Not like Freddy -- I don't think anyone ever will -- but it is powerful and the energy is palpable nonetheless.
disturbed is all i Listen to.
Hi there Beth,
I have always thought the drums in this song are tribal. David is a deceptively good singer.. And the others are darn good also, Mike on drums, Dan on guitar, and John on bass. TAKE care girl....
Don’t feel like a dweeb, you’re amazing for that!!!
Most people don’t realize that death metal singers etc. aren’t that loud. It’s all about your microphone set up.
I've been there. But 2016 at Rock am Ring Was even better Disturbed played right before RHCP
beth , please do one more disturbed song. I strongly recomend REMEMBER.
You have to listen to Inside the Fire
This is a great song!
You should check out Hey You by Disturbed
You should also do a cover of sevendust covering hurt
You have to go to Wacken one year or 70,000 Tonnes of Metal next year. 70k is a Metal cruise I think you'd enjoy yourself.
Listen to ten thousand fist in the air. Or I still haven't found what I'm looking for by u2. They were able to make it their own. Or Phill Collins "land of confusion"
perfection! 👌
Do a reaction to their song the game. Please? Probably my favorite song they do
*tip* you should listen to the swedish baryton(?)/opera singer Tommy Körberg - Stad i ljus (City of lights) i would love to hear your take on it! :)
I would love to see your reaction to Mudvayne's Beautiful and Strange but there isn't any live versions of the song. Chad Grey let's out an amazing 17 second long scream during the song and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Great vocals. The song received only three votes when the theme was Drama.
Please react to shawn james - cant help falling in love
You should listen to the official video; it has much better sound quality.
You should react to Violet Orlandi ft. Ai Mori's cover of this song! Its amazing! :P
Why you missed the final epic part "Brothers and sisters my blood"? I cannot understand why you do that? What is couple of seconds more to you?
David is a classically trained singer if I remember correctly.
During the live performance on the "Conan show" they edited it cause he was sick, during the live performance of The Sound of Silence
It’s cool cause you can tell he’s actually singing because it doesn’t sound exactly like the recorded version. Seems like a lot of artists are lip syncing to their own songs.
React to DISTURBED'S PRAYER or THE LIGHT
I love that you said dweeb...and with your accent. 😅
OHH WAA AHHHHH AHHHHHHH!
Next video react to The live performance of Slipknot playing the chapeltown rag , Please !
Pain of Salvation - Iter Impius. Please do them justice
Hi! New release by ONE OK ROCK !! Please watching MV「Save Yourself」So cool ,and Intense !His high notes vocals are amazing!
This song has a mixed English and Japanese version, and another, all English lyrics version

David Draiman was classically trained and I believe it was his grandfather who trained him to be a Jewish cantor

Can you react to the newly released Hey You by Disturbed?
This definitely is not silence. Silence is not the sickness.
Please do Staind - Blow Away
