Congrats to 0Day for helping people . Those ransomware groups are just thieves . Why don't they use their skill to do some good ? As some philosophy say , doing the evil is easier as long as we act selfish . Great video Trilogy 👏
I love watching your videos with a mix of seriousness and fun. However, sometimes it makes me feel anxious about what is happening in the world. I appreciate you informing me on important issues in a logical manner. Keep up the good work guys you are incredible people. 😊

I really appreciate you guys uploading this video because it gave me a clear understanding about ramson ware. It is so sad that this even exists and it is very terrifying for the future of our loved ones and the world in general. You guys are super amazing you are like a box of chocolate you never know what you are going to get from you guys lol
Hi Stephanie! Agree with you 100%. Especially since we are business owners, we have to be even more protective of our data since it involves client info.
This video was really informative. It's sad to think that people can be this heartless to get money out of people. Especially older people. I hope that guy can recover from this with his business. Thanks to Ryan for being the best negotiator even if it's sad to have to pay anyways.
This is definitely a scary video. You guys have done a great job explaining things that people don’t know much about. This shit is crazy. as always, you guys have done a amazing job. Thanks for all your hard work. Big shout out to 0day. Sure am glad he’s on our side lol.
This was one of the most informative stream I have ever seen. Many thanks for going behind the scenes. It is very easy to be blase about ransom ware and this brings it to a hugely sinister forefront
Wow. Thanks so much for doing this vid for us! This is such important information. Well done. ❣️ Thank you ,0Dday, for being there for people to turn to when this happens.
The fact these hackers are able to use emotion and talk in a way that makes them seem like they are negotiating is mind boggling. It’s like they are a help team who’s also tryna Rob u 😭
Thank you guys for publishing this content. Ransomware is terrifying. There were several hospitals in Ontario that had this issue last summer and I prayed I didn't have a serious issue as systems were down. Absolutely terrifying when they seize your emergency services and affect everyone that's been to any of those hospitals. I was one of tens of thousands who's information was at risk.
I knew this was a thing but just wow...thank you for bringing us this footage so folks can see and take steps to protect themselves. Thank you 0Day for all your hard work ❤
Ryan’s explanation of social engineering reminds me of a story from the last retail job I worked. Before I started there, the district had an uptick in over-the-phone gift card scammers. The district manager sat everyone down and explained, “Here’s the scam, here’s how they do it, here’s what you do to avoid it.” Not long after that conversation (I think it was the same day), a lower-level employee called the manager and announced they had fallen for the scam. The district manager, a normally chill guy, responded by unloading in profane Russian.
Wow!! 🤯 I've seen Ryan before in co-labs with Perogi. It's fascinating that he had negotiationed with Blackcat before the MGM fiasco. Being a boomer, i do wish he was on TH-cam as i don't use those other apps. Great episode! Thanks for bringing the awareness.
Thanks to people like you that I have learnt to take precautions. I'm in my late 70's so we didn't even have TV's, Cell Phones, computers ect so our generation is reliant on self education.
Ryan is such a catch! Altruism and passion are 2 very rare and incredibly vital characteristics to keep the good side in the fight against the bad side in our world.
He dropped out of high school and taught himself. This field is not gatekept by anybody that is the beauty of it anyone can learn if they really want to especially with the resources we have in our pockets
Thanks for this incredible insight. I don't understand why they don't look up the financials and confirm that a) he does not have enough money or b) he does have enough money. If a is the case, then an agreement on a lesser sum is warranted. If b is the case, then they can simply call the bluff and state that he does have the money to pay the initial ransom fee. Update: Apparently, they know, but if that is the case, it still seems bizarre to me. They can just send Montgomery the financials and settle the whole debate instantly.
These kinds of negotiations could corrupt your mind. Imagine you are the only middle man without a coworker by your side giving you social support just to ground the reality.
Why go after an elderly man with not much to give and accept a meager $75k when they just raked-in $15-million from another? Were they ransomware hackers in training and their homework was to take a small fish? The disparity in price for the same "work" just doesn't make sense.
Elderly people don’t grow up with technology therefore are less aware about cybersecurity making them easy targets. Same reasons scam call centres target elderly
Realistically speaking, a group like that cannot hit large companies all the time. They need smaller hacks, maybe to test new people to enter their group or just to stay under the radar. Because once you hack a large corporation, you are on the radar of lots of investigations, you wait to die out and hack big again.
I've read the victim is into CP, that would be a reason to bring him down. It's not random, either big corp with loads of money or they target people with vile fetishes.
Wow great work gentleman. That’s scary scary stuff. I love that you guys are venturing out to all types of scams. Much love to all of you at trilogy media ❤💗💕❤️
Its people like the person you're talking with that made me wanna go into information security. I have a long.. LOOOONG way to go.. but I hope to be able to help others like you do.
This video is one everyone needs to pay close attention to. Given that Ryan had to negotiate the way he did shows how ruthless these hackers are. People can be rich on paper and yet still be cash light, I saw this many times during my Wall Street days. Liquidating assets can take a lot of time, even moreso when trying to negotiate to meet the hackers' required cryptocurrency demands.
@BundiesUndies I'm not a moderator so I had no power to block you. The reason I replied as I did is because Trilogy never engages in clickbait. Their videos are exactly what they say they are. Granted the thumbnails are made to draw in viewers, that doesn't make them clickbait. So you know, moderators' names are in blue and they have a blue wrench after their name.
@@Lamour-c5b yes, he should be very proud. In the beginning it seemed there would be no negotiating from the initial $225K. Ryan proved that not only was it possible, it put him and other negotiators in a much better position should they have to deal with AlphV again.
@@PlumberWRX I have no power to block anyone as I’m not a moderator. If someone gets blocked it’s because of something THEY did. Yeah you have to be pretty lame to get yourself blocked 🤣🤣🤣 Just an FYI if they can comment here they’re not blocked. The fact their comments are visible proves they’re not.
The financial company I work for is constantly training us on how to not fall for phishing emails... to the point that they send us random "tests" to see if we fall for it and if we do fall for it a couple times, you lose your job.
I just received a letter from Change Healthcare. I was part of that breech. I found out that they paid 22 million to the ransomers, but the criminals (of course) didn't keep their side of deal. The data hasn't been recovered.
This is absolutely amazing. As a fellow youtuber, I not only enjoy your videos for the instructional content, but the way you structure your videos, storytelling, editing is REALLY inspiring. Thank you for being such a fund of knowledge AND entertainment!
just take precautions buddy. obviously they may fail, but it is unprobable that an hacker would go through the process of pocking holes in a small business system if it has at least a good security. it would take too much time and it would not be worth it. and with good security i mean do not leave vulnerabilities in the open , use standard good practice such as using strong passwords(or juat use keys) and do if you have the possibility pentest your system.
That is so amazing and very informative. There are hundreds, if not, thousands out there who are unaware or just don’t take this kind of precaution seriously until it happens to us. The whole time watching this I was like holding on to my chair waiting anxiously of what’s going to happen next. Seriously you guys are amazing in helping us to be educated. Appreciate how Ryan is calmly teaching us how to nagivate and protect ourselves. I couldn’t thank you enough guys. Much respect to you all. Cybersecurity education is really important. I think I need to reconsider my profession from being a druggist to cybersecurity thing😅
It’s way easier than you may think too. A black hat hacker could effectively train someone in about a couple days to do the same thing. As tedious as it is- it’s best to use a different password for every single platform. Don’t click any links that you aren’t familiar with. These are the easiest ways a hacker can infiltrate your system with little to no effort. The odds of being a victim of cybercrime is unlikely. Unless you have something valuable like a multimillion dollar business or are famous, a hacker is unlikely to target you.
This is pretty darn sad that this kind of behavior has become so common for so long to be seen on the internet and yet that the world’s governments haven’t done anything to ensure that this kind of behavior will stop. It’s very unfortunate and disturbing to see this kind of abuse happening today. We always need to have our guard up for our own protection. This has been by far the best trilogy media TH-cam video to date that I have seen.
Part of the hacking is not only allowed by certain governments, it is the governments themselves doing it. The US OPM was hacked and data of US clearance holders was lost. It appears to have been the Chinese government. It created a lot of issues- fraudulent tax returns filed on clearance holders and a huge security issue for the US.
Thank you trilogy Media and Ryan for sharing this educational video with us! Testimony that real time protection like Guardio and VPN's are necessary. Together we can all make a difference and help bring down the Evil in this world known as scammers. Keep up the Fight!
When I first started marking music this happened to me once they took over my entire pc deleted all the files , replaced the system files asking for bitcoin or everything would be deleted. Thankfully I wasn’t far into my career and nothing of value was on the computer but in essence I had to completely rebuild my computer from the inner workings had to remove windows and install Linux and run windows through there to reinstall it back such a messed up experience scary af
Same thing happened when someone I know had their website hacked and defaced .. then afterwards they hint at how to secure the site without saying how they got in but I found the hole and the site owner patched it up.
Thank you everyone involved in the making of this video. It certainly given a lot of insight of evil hackers vs good hackers likes of 0Day. Using computers and the internet these days is like playing with fire. As tech advances so does the fraudsters, scammers and hackers. Safety is key, safety needs to be No1 priority before using the computer and internet. Thank you all for this video. 0day I salute you sir. And thank you for your involvement in the negotiations. You not only opened the eyes of Trilogymedia but to the world too. Well to all those who watch this video. Thank you all 👍

This was actually pretty scary and in fact extremely worrying how easy it was to steal someone’s identity and hold that information to ransom!? These people have absolutely no morals?! 💙💙 xxx
Floored by this video, one of my favorite ones to date. I cant imagine how horrifying it would be to be in this situation.. how violating. Thank you Trilogy Media you do phenomenal work along with your team and everyone who comes to share their knowledge with you.
Alot better than dressing up in a costume and chasing after stupid money mules...
Love your work boys! The "hacker voice" resonates on a frequency that makes me physically sick, so it's a hard watch but worth it.
The "hacker voice" is nightmare fuel!
Bruh you are my Role model 🔥. You inspired me to learn Cybersecurity
@@mohdcom25you said this to the wrong person I'm guessing? Unless Lauren is a cyber security expert I haven't heard of.
Congrats to 0Day for helping people . Those ransomware groups are just thieves . Why don't they use their skill to do some good ? As some philosophy say , doing the evil is easier as long as we act selfish . Great video Trilogy 👏
"Good" just simply doesn't pay. They want the $$
@@izzylopez81 Indeed
I just want to say thanks for making the world a better place helping our elders and children thank you so much
I love watching your videos with a mix of seriousness and fun. However, sometimes it makes me feel anxious about what is happening in the world. I am at the point where I've not watched TV for five months but in particular I don't watch the news because I take on the emotional side of evil acts and worry about those who are victims. I appreciate you informing me on important issues in a logical manner. Keep up the good work guys you are incredible people. 😊
Holy mother of god. This was insane. Gripping story. 0day is a hero and deserves all the recognition. It’s heartbreaking the old man still has to pay, but it was much less so a win in that sense. Thank you for sharing.
I got into 8 colleges for the major cybersecurity, and I’m going to go through with it.
How is it going so far?
Wow congratulations you are so lucky I would how to hack into my boyfriend's account if I had one
Certainly such a scary situation!
So evil, sickening, and despicable! 😠🤮Appreciate all you do! Shoutout to 0Day, too! You are all superheroes! Thank you, love you, appreciate you from the bottom of my heart! Absolute rockstars!❤❤
I really appreciate you guys uploading this video because it gave me a clear understanding about ramson ware. It is so sad that this even exists and it is very terrifying for the future of our loved ones and the world in general. You guys are super amazing you are like a box of chocolate you never know what you are going to get from you guys lol
lol
Hi Stephanie! Agree with you 100%. Especially since we are business owners, we have to be even more protective of our data since it involves client info.
Probably the best video I've seen in this topic. Terrifying but at least they apologized.😆
Thank you Trilogy Media for shining a light on this very dark topic.
This video was really informative. It's sad to think that people can be this heartless to get money out of people. Especially older people. I hope that guy can recover from this with his business. Thanks to Ryan for being the best negotiator even if it's sad to have to pay anyways.
I've had ransomware on my PC 10 years ago... the worst part is I wasn't even contacted at all.. just lost everything for no reason.
I had the same, I just used my windows cd and restored the system. No loss of data. Nowadays the ransomware has improved a lot I'm afraid.
@@Random_user_8472 I'm glad you were able to get your data back, I was too dumb to create backups lol
@@Marconel100 Yes indeed. But hey, don't worry, once I had a harddisk crash, all my movies and music were gone 😂
This is unbelievable crazy! I'm only halfway through the video, but this is def the most intense content you have ever produced to date! 😮
Wow that’s scary! Scared my old boss too. Ty for the info, great work to you and @0day ❤❤
Crazy how no one commented on the fact that the person called Ryan out by name and said they are familiar with his work.
Great job Ryan. And thx TM for the awareness. . This was hard to watch. That poor man. Everyone be safe! ❤️👏🏻✌️
I knew this was a thing but just wow...thank you for bringing us this footage so folks can see and take steps to protect themselves. Thank you 0Day for all your hard work ❤
Hello Ashton, Art, O'Day, Poptart, Conner, Matt, Chappy, Janis Konig,Ladybassguitarplayer Jim Browning, Our entire TM/ TM+ Family. Hello my Fellow
Squadsters much respect and ❤
Ryan’s explanation of social engineering reminds me of a story from the last retail job I worked.
That was such a great video. Thank you for this!
Did you see his episode on the Shawn Ryan show? So much respect to Ryan.
@@DEPUTYGETSOME No...will have to check it out! Thanks 😊
Ryan seems like such an amazing guy. I wonder if he went to school for cyber security or did he teach himself?
Watching this video is scary I am so delighted you guys are out there keep up the good work love yous ❤
Ireland needs people like you respect xx
These kinds of negotiations could corrupt your mind. Imagine you are the only middle man without a coworker by your side giving you social support just to ground the reality.
Holy guacamole!!!! What a crazy situation. Thanks for sharing this!!!
When I was in high school in the late 1970's we had IBM Selectric II TYPEWRITERS and NOT computers. How times have changed!
IKR?!
That hacker organization alpha .... There's like hundreds of not thousand of hackers it's a group of hackers all around world working together....
Maybe they are hired by a man who hates the victim? Personal
I've read the victim is into CP, that would be a reason to bring him down. It's not random, either big corp with loads of money or they target people with vile fetishes.
Wow. This was creepy. Like a deal with the devil.
Wow great work gentleman. That’s scary scary stuff. I love that you guys are venturing out to all types of scams. Much love to all of you at trilogy media ❤💗💕❤️
We deal with this stuff all the time. It's always interesting to see how the TA gets into the environment.
This video is amazingly MINDBLOWING!!! Thanks guys for a look into a world I hope I’ll never experience in my life.
Sending love and prayers for doing what is right. Get threatened by an attorney, write back, we will see you in court
Its people like the person you're talking with that made me wanna go into information security. I have a long.. LOOOONG way to go.. but I hope to be able to help others like you do.
this is def scary to see thankfully have people on our side that can help
WOOOW watching this I was getting heart palpitations. Fair play to the negotiator cuz I could never ever do this.
I think he should be proud he got them to drop $150K from their first demand! - Lorraine Lamour
@@Lamour-c5b yes, he should be very proud. In the beginning it seemed there would be no negotiating from the initial $225K. Ryan proved that not only was it possible, it put him and other negotiators in a much better position should they have to deal with AlphV again.
wow you got him blocked that's so lame
@@PlumberWRX I have no power to block anyone as I’m not a moderator. If someone gets blocked it’s because of something THEY did. Yeah you have to be pretty lame to get yourself blocked 🤣🤣🤣
Just an FYI if they can comment here they’re not blocked. The fact their comments are visible proves they’re not.
Rayan thanks for exposing pedos on the dark web. You were my huge inspiration to go into hacking and cybersecurity
Best video you guy’s ever made! Very interesting and enlightening.
You guys are the real heros ..appreciate your content and efforts
This Video Was So Flipping Interesting.
Really enjoyed it Fellas..!!
The financial company I work for is constantly training us on how to not fall for phishing emails... to the point that they send us random "tests" to see if we fall for it and if we do fall for it a couple times, you lose your job.
That is fucking wild, thank you for positing this.
Get em Ash and Art! We out here! Trilogy gang for life.
Ryan is absolutely amazing.
Currently transitioning from IT into Cyber with pretty good knowledge and loved seeing this conversation transaction.
This video gives me major anxiety. I just hate having to think this can happen to us.
just take precautions buddy. obviously they may fail, but it is unprobable that an hacker would go through the process of pocking holes in a small business system if it has at least a good security. it would take too much time and it would not be worth it.
and with good security i mean do not leave vulnerabilities in the open , use standard good practice such as using strong passwords(or juat use keys) and do if you have the possibility pentest your system.
Y’all need to get sponsored by a data backup company as well. If you got protected backups you can just reload to get up and running
"Why is it not in public schools?" Art is asking the right questions. People need to be educated on this.
I thought so too !
Because now days, the school only teaches gender studies, pronoun names, sex kink and if you’re a color person then you’re a victim.
Schools don't teach many life skills we need like cybersecurity, how to budget and manage money and first aid
@@misfitm1457 I can't think of one useful thing I learned back in school (high school and back) that I actually used in the real world!
The "no guarantee that they'd attack again" is the price those unsecured have to pay for their lesson on security.
Crap this is going to give me nightmares 😅 seriously!
I love how you go out your way to help anyone and everyone your amazing ❤❤
I’ve had many nightmares about my phone and social media accounts being hacked. I feel so bad for all the people whose companies are ruined.
This is horrifying yet fascinating.
Thank you trilogy Media and Ryan for sharing this educational video with us! Testimony that real time protection like Guardio and VPN's are necessary. Together we can all make a difference and help bring down the Evil in this world known as scammers. Keep up the Fight!
That is mind blowing...watching from the south east of England 🏴
THANK YOU FOR THE NEW VIDEO! TRILOGY MEDIA FOREVER! 💙
Great video thank you for sharing God bless y'all 😊
This is such a US thing. Most companies here in Norway, and even a lot of people, have ransomware insurance that helps solve these types of incidents.
WE ♥️ 0DAY !!!
Yes We’re!😉👍
I find it kinda funny that the Hackers give you a promise that they'll never target you again and offer some advice to stay safe next time XD
Thank you all 👍
Ryan is unironically one of the most badass people I've ever seen.
Thanks for keeping us informed
What is truly scary is everyone's info is on systems of people who do not have security on their systems that protects their clients. WTF scary stuff Thank-you Trilogy for shining a light on these predators ❤
