I dont mind industry plants or nepo-babies as long as they prove themselves worthy of that opportunity. Jack has done more than enough in my eyes and deserves all of his success.
Exactly right. Always let them stand on their own merit. I dont mind someone having had doors opened for them that others don't, if they use that open door to create wonderful media that I get to enjoy.
This is the response people want from "nepo-babies", it's not that big a deal that you had an advantage, we just want to hear that you're aware of it, doesn't mean you haven't worked your ass off to get there, also would like to add that Jack is genuinely talented and has more than proven his talent
Also you can see that Meg and Dennis did a great job raising a very down to earth guy. He's not the type of guy who will demand opportunities he isn't fit for.
Absolutely. I think the classic vision of a "nepobaby" is the person who has no business being anywhere near the position they have and only got it because of their parent/family. But that's really not what we see a lot of the time. We see people who DO put a lot of work in their craft and a lot who are actually great. But they undeniably had a leg up that most people don't. Which, is definitely what we all want our parents to provide. But then if those people are going around acting like they did it all themselves or are "self made" then that's where it becomes something to discuss.
Question: Who do you think you are that you think you have an authority to make im say what you want? Let that man live finally. Every single time his name is coming up this effing topic is getting discussed instead of his talent! Let it goddamn rest!
@@MelanieJeanneSchons wtf? We're praising the guy for his talent and lack of "stereotypical" nepotism and it seems you just copy/pasted an angry comment that has nth to do with the conversation. Read what you're commenting first. Thanks.
i love his "i've never been more confused and upset in my life, josh horowitz" at 51:29 pretty cool that you've gotten to have two of my favorite nepo babies on this podcast(lewis pullman is the other)! and wild that this is the first time you've had him on! what a delight!
Such a nice guy and a good actor too, no wonder ! He returned to get killed again at the beginning of Catching Fire , it wasn't the same scene, Francis Lawrence talks about it in the commentary. Great, great interview Josh,. thank you so much for that.
Nepo babies exist in all areas of different industries- it's just more pronounced and visible for Hollywood actors. I don't mind Jack Quaid or Maya Hawke, because they actually have talent..
I appreciate the hell out of Innerspace too, watched it again the other night, one of the absolute fave films of my childhood and still so funny. He seems like such a ridiculously sweet dude who deserves his success.
I really like Jack Quaid. He's got great taste in roles, and as celebrities go he's a got a good head on his shoulders and seems to be very unpretentious.
I knew he was a good actor in the boys but i didnt have many expectations for his voice acting, he proved me wrong. His superman/Clark Kent voice is perfect specially when it becomes deeper, couldn't believe it was the same guy that plays Hughie
Jack probably would’ve been a great Jimmy Olsen for David Corenswet’s Superman, though I’m hopeful there’s a chance he could possibly be The Flash in this new DCU…
The only nepo babies that get on my nerves are the ones that act like they had no advantage. Growing up with money and connections will give you like a 90% advantage of some guy or woman from a working-class family with no connections.
You can't be so sure. And what would you do in his situation? Given you're eager and talented, you do what, just walk away? "Oh man, I have too much advantage, it's only fair for me to give up on my dream and go work as a cashier or something". It's not his fault he had that unfair advantage just like it's not my fault I have this unfair disadvantage, we were born into our families and we can only do our best with it. It definitely seems like he's been really doing his best, I love him as Hughie, he's worth all the praise

Sure
That S4 finale has me hyped for S5.
Yessir
Shit is going down
Prepare for war 💀
He’s so likeable and humble, considering his background. Hope to see him in more projects in the future.
Speaking of star wars…i wanna see him work with pedro pascal! They’d def get along
I'm pretty sure that persona is also acted
This actor does such a fantastic job on The Boys!
Quaid is probably my favorite Superman voice now
Same, his voice is so hopeful & full of kindness. He was the perfect voice actor for Superman ☝️😊
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Tim Daly and George newbern are better
Omg wait what does he voice supes in??
Sorry haven't seen the whole video yet lol
Nepo baby or not , the man is talented. I just saw the finale and let me tell ya , f*cking diabolical.
I read that "fucking diabolical" in butchers voice lol
*MM:* ain’t NO fuckin’ way i’m workin’ wit’ Butcha again. 😑
*Butcher:* Oi. 😏
*MM:* a’ight fine; but after this, i’m DONE. 😤

@@choccymilk666Same.
can't wait for season 5... the final was INSANE
Badass finale.
This guy NEEDS to be Barry Allen, the resemblance and charisma between the two entities are wicked man.
Agreed 👌
Either that or a Jimmy Olsen
I'm sure he'd be a good Barry, but hell he'd be a perfect Jimmy Olsen
I love him as Clark Kent/Superman definitely one of my favorite animated versions of Superman right next to the old Justice league series.
My two favorite J's! You are consistently one of the most top tier interviewers, Josh. And Jack Quad just rules.
Season 4 - Top tier season finale, I can't wait for the next season and I'm 100% going to watch them all in a row.... well again.
These interviews are so great! Really in-detail and personal
Jack is the only actor where if someone told me "oh yeah Jack Quaid is in my discord server" I'd actually believe them
Jack seems like he'd be fun to play Dungeons and Dragons with
i love his "i've never been more confused and upset in my life, josh horowitz" at 51:29

Hes seems so nice
I haven't been much of Hughie fan in past seasons, but I've come to really like him this season. Great job!

I like this video a lot! Thanks for making it
He’s so tone perfect on the Boys. He’s the soul of the show. Kamiko is the heart.
What a cool dude. I've really enjoyed him in superman
Wow, he looks just like his uncle Randy Quaid. Jack seems to be very grounded and a fun personality.
Love jack quaid
Jack Quaid as Booster Gold would be lit and deserved! He's him.
It’s funny how Jack wanted a part in the boys but Antony made a angry audition and both get the part
And that is why my friends and I started the traditional of playing D&D or something similar on New Years Eve!
“You gotta Marry (Merry) Christmas…” nice Jack! 😂😂😂
I appreciate the hell out of Innerspace too, watched it again the other night, one of the absolute fave films of my childhood and still so funny. He seems like such a ridiculously sweet dude who deserves his success.

Finna go watch what you rate it
Nice shout out for Inner Space.
Nepo or not dudes a good actor.
Great Finale
he's so cute
He probably can’t play live action super man but I could see him being Jimmy Olsen in live action
My Superman and my Boimler ♥
He would make a good Jimmy Olsen tho.
Would like Jack to join the DCU as another hero
The Flash
@@vertigo4236YOO that’s not that abs
@@vertigo4236 Yeah he'd be a pretty good Barry Allen, just dye his hair blonde.
@@vertigo4236 lol the whole Justice League is jacked there's no one who is a lightweight, everyone is at least 200lb+ pure muscle
Jack probably would’ve been a great Jimmy Olsen for David Corenswet’s Superman, though I’m hopeful there’s a chance he could possibly be The Flash in this new DCU…
No mention of Lower Decks (barely, when Star Trek was mentioned)?
He’s Meg Ryan son!
He’s got her great qualities
He's really just like Hughie in real life 😂
cool of him to shotout those video game actors royalties
We gotta get Jack Quaid in the DCU. Who could he play?
The flash maybe?
The Flash, obviously!
Yea he would make a great Spawn.
they were talking about Booster Gold during the podcast
Probably The Joker. He does have a sadistic smile though.
next time pls pls pls talk about lower decks

He was very good in Scream! Meg Ryan is Hollywood royalty , not dennis quaid lol
He will end up in the next MI !
You can just not drink on new year if you don't like
I wonder is Dennis Quaid or Meg Ryan has seen the boys particularly this new season lol
Jack seems so much nicer than his father
Though he's adorable, with his goofy smile, I can never picture him as Superman, he should stick to comedy
48:59 Finneas
He can play Spider-man man from another universe or The Flash (Even if I prefer lucas till)
'Ohmelanda
to be fair tough, your character in the show is kind of... like a kid following his dear old daddy.
not really lmao
WHAT EVE
Save lower decks
i wonder if he and his dad are talking at all. dennis has lost his mind and drank the MAGA cult kool aid.
Its tough having maga fam
Boo Hoo buttercup.
What's maga?
Common sense upsets you?
dude is thirsty to meet tom cruise or what? LMAO
how does he sleep at night knowing there are people who are more talented and deserving of every role he's ever been given due to his parents talent?
