I have 2 phones, one is S24U, another one is really cheap the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G. Both are helpful in different ways. The S24U is used for nearly everything tho, but when I want some time alone, no notification, no need to work on something, just something light to entertain myself, I use my Xiaomi cuz I don't install any sim card nor any social media there, just youtube and some light games
The fact that only the ultra has Snapdragon while they slapped exynos to normal and plus made me buy the Ultra even though I don't really like big phones that much
Went from the lgv20 to the s10e a few year back. The smaller screen was a pain in the ass to be honest. Great in theory to have a smaller phone but in everyday use, bigger screens are a lot nicer to use.
A few years back, I bought a midrange samsung. It was just not good at all. Screen was lagging, apps didn't work properly. When i switched to s22 ultra, I knew i could never go midrange again. Now i have the s23 ultra and are super happy. Best phone ever !
i wouldnt mind any of the other overkill tradeoffs. only bummed about the S24 not having the same anti-glare coating. it's one of the things you didnt think you need, until you see/have it
i rly think samsung should do exactly what they did with their note 10 and 20 series. release the larger (stock) size s24 ultra and a smaller size (s24 size) s24 ultra then people who want the ultra but don’t want the big size phone can have it in a slightly smaller form. idk why samsung hasn’t done that.

It would have been awesome if Samsung offers a smaller version of the Ultra variant, just like how iPhone has a smaller version of the Pro Max. Same specs, same build quality, same hardware but in a smaller phone. If Samsung makes this, I would definitely go with the smaller Ultra. I'm tired with these big ohones
If they would have made it look like a mini ultra i probably would have got the regular s24. I dont like that a bunch of phones just look like iphone clones and enjoy that the ultra looks different
Looks like most of the people dont know that s24 ultra was already rumored to get the titanium right after s23 that is in feb or march 2023 and apple rumors came out 2-3 months after this. So can we say it in the apple fanboys style that apple immediately started working on titanium after they heard that samsung is putting titanium in their phone?? And dont know why people dont use their brain that it needs quite a but of time to do the things and at the time of apple release samsung might be already in production. Its just the time that apple came first bcuz of their release cycle.
I got the s20 ultra 256 gb with 12 ram...it was what I aimed for nor the 21/22/23/24 cause s20 more curves +6.9"inches...nor 21/22/23/24 have 6.9(tablet starting at7") Obviously 23/24 are better for photos and staff but the hardware is like 0-2% better I dont care for the 208 camera I ain't using it much.so I was like can it be half price? And also owning great device?he'll yea I found it 3 week used 0 scratches (FB marketplace) from 1.390€ (official shops offer before 2/3 months) to 680€and in the end i got it for 650€ like less than half price so WHYNOT having a black beast for 650€ with those money's no other phone was meeting the specs of s20 ultra with x100 zoom and 100-108 megapixels 12 ram +++ .the only thing I got mad was like when I bought it 1 weak later the 1.390€ went to 1.090€ because they was getting ready the crowd for the s24ultta. But who cares I got an extraordinary beast

For some people, yes, for sure. For me personally, the camera is the single most important thing on a phone. I primarily base my decision on what phone to buy on the camera
It's less like needed features and more like features that make the high price more justifiable. You're in the flagship range my friend, you will have companies trying to get such features on their flagship phones whether it's practical or not. You're not a fan? Go to midrange phones.

I just went from the S22+ to the S24. I hated how small it felt at first but now that I'm used to it I actually really like the size. Only downside is it charges much slower than the S22+. But the battery definitely lasts longer.
I have a base Galaxy s23 and it's been perfect for me so far. The 1080p screen still looks excellent and even though it has less ram, 8gb is still well enough for a lot of things and I've never had any performance issues
I actually just bought the S23+ I had every intention on getting the smaller S23 but it was only a 40.00 difference between the 2 with Att so I chose the plus but love the size of the 23. You can't go wrong with the prices of the 23 series right now(half price) and updated to Android 14 with Samsung 6.1 UI. I had the S24 Ultra for all of 6 days. Just too much money and for whatever reason the screen colors weren't impressive.
My wife got the s24 because her old phone died and it was the smallest phone in the store. She would have liked something even smaller. With the trend of phones going on the larger size I feel like there is an untapped market of people who miss smaller more practical phones. Not everyone is trying to game and shoot movies on their cell phone.

Honestly, what do you need 1440p for in such tiny screen, talking from experience, I used to have a s20 and it had 1440p res and I tried to find a difference in how "sharp" the image is and tbh in a daily use you don't notice. For the battery it's smaller but it has to power a smaller and lower res screen
I got my phone stolen just because it was so big so i think s24 is a good phone I miss old small samsung phones man they are making tablets now and calling them phones
