Yes ...just go for declarations of your missing passport at the near by police station or immigration office they will issue you letter for a new passport issuance.

You can only renew your passport when it is less than 6months valid also renewal does not affect travel history because you will still have your old passport

But please I want to ask: my mom who has gotten her PR in America filed for me with USCIS since last year and she told me that USCIS emailed her saying that I am eligible to visit America due to her filing for me. So apart from going through school how can I apply for a US visa without being denied? Because my aim of going to America at this point is to live and work.
