Pinning ears is unacceptable and a warning that should not be ignored. You should make her stand away from you and stay there until you are finished putting her food in then give her a que like "ok" when she is allowed to go to her food. Watch Steve Young. Steve is an angel for our equine friends. With this mare there was one mis-cue and it is really hindering her from moving forward. She was offered a treat before her food.... the reward for her doing as you are asking is 1. The pressure stops and 2. The food is the treat
