Hi Cole, When working with material that needs stretching for framing and for canvas for painting you work from all four centres out at the same time, by doing that you are able to fabric taut over the frame or the backing board. this will reduce the wrinkling on the outer edges. To do this you will need loads of clips to start with. Once you are happy, most can be removed and a little glue in place to keep the wrinkles from returning. With those thin seams, it going to be an art form not to tear them the first time trying. Great work.

I was going to say a clothes steamer would help a lot but you added that at the end 👍

Hi there Cole, wish you'd uploaded this video 3 month earlier as I was assembling mine on my 1960 Austin Seven 😅 Back then there was no such "know how tutorial" that shows how to start. The instruction paper that came with the liners from Newton Commercial (also to find on their site) was good but not really helpful. In the middle bars I used stables until it became really tight-fit in the outer edges,..and this is when I grabbed a needle and a thread and I started sewing the edges, was pain in the booty. They didn't do so originally (noticed as I was strippen the frame) but it worked and the headlining looks pretty good and stretched without wrinkles😌. But hey as you said "sometimes we gotta live in this world, that these folks made for us". Great job

Hello Cole, I would like to recomend that the stapler be fitter with Monel or stainless stapels. I have seen several Mini's with rust mark staining the headliner.

Good suggestion! I doublechecked my staples and they are stainless so I am good but thats a great tip.

Nice video. As i was watching this video i was thinking why how you may have arrived at the green color for body. I realized that it matches with your Tacoma. Anyway, the car is coming together pretty nicely. Your mini will primary be truly most advanced tech and a very interesting marriage between the old and the new.

You're welcome! Happy to help. If I get a mini that is a positive ground system I will make a video on it. I don't come across them very often anymore.

I’d definitely appreciate some constructive feedback. Though I imagine I have received most of it at this point as this video is a few weeks old.
