Sivir's Q deals full damage to multiple targets as long as there is no minion/monster in between, the damage modifier is reset on the return but it's really important to try and not hit minions if your purpose is to poke for maximum damage.
Q spell loses to a maximum of 60% damage if you hit 4 non-champion before reaching your target

All we had to do as ad carries was just play them mid lane
The reason for that many adcs in mid lane is not that going bot with an adc is bad, its just that adcs are so broken that its better to have multiple adcs in one team rather than having nerfed mages or assassins in mid.
And considering Kai’sa was popular in mid lane few seasons ago too….
@@zagon4177 Its funny you say that with all the buff to mages this patch. Syndra is literally god tier against almost anything especially adcs, and im saying this literally mostly playing syndra.

To answer peoples concerns about mana on sivir, only q and w waves you need to hard push cause of gank pressure or to poke. Most of the time you're last hitting and letting the wave build up so you can one shot it under tower and farm items once you are weak early still
I know it's not cool to give up some attack speed on your first item, but closing Essence Reaver and having infinite man is a lot of fun. You can keep spamming Q and W many times you want.
A lot of people forget, even on mages, that autoing the wave stacks up damage to make for a decent push. I do it to conserve mana as Lissandra, especially if you have range advantage. During laning phase against mana champs, you're not just poking HP, you're baiting and forcing abilities to poke their mana as well, since most casters are massively weaker when they're unable to use their abilities. With good mana management on waveclear you can force them to back and lose waves, or either be unable to last-hit under tower or risk a dive.

This was great last patch, now on live patched they nerfed Kraken MS as well as dmg for ranged champs. As well as fleet nerf

I refuse to believe a KR Challenger Azir stays under tower with 1 HP against a Sivir. This has got to be someone boosting in low elo.
To this day I still play Blue Split Push Sivir in the midlane, you have an enormous harass potential and you can punish roaming enemies by taking down their towers. High mobility champs will eat you up but thanks to your wave clear you dont lose that many gold, R is really useful to help in TF or use to roam to other lanes.

finally the video ive been waiting for, sivir was one of my fav champs to play and i always loved playing her in the midlane, her clear made you roam very fast and help junglers. i never had a problem with laning phase until hwei was released i get out ranged, out wave cleared and out damaged :(

I've always been an advocate of Sivir mid! It just makes a lot of sense with the win condition being having lane prio and helping the jungler with objectives!

As an adc player, I should be happy that the class is strong in the meta right now, the thing is that marksmen became so dominant that people are playing it on top and mid lane, meaning most of my emerald games my team comp is squishy and has no engage or frontline or is full ad because people just wanna play adc and don't think about the team comp. I'm being forced to play ziggs most at least half of my games to ensure we have at least ap damage. I really hope Riot make some changes to ensure adc is played mainly in bot lane
How is mana not constantly going to be a problem?

Thanks to:
1. Her kits not using mana that much. Q for 75 mana and W for 60 mana.
2. She does not use skills as much as mages in a teamfight and still puts out a huge damage.
she only needs one ability per wave, whereas most mages need 2 or 3 to get close to her push speed.
Clear waves with Statikk + one skill Q or W, doesn't take much mana.

I used to play Sivir mid before, here is the problems:
You push, waste all the mana, the enemy dodge your Q and go away of your W, they farm under tower dodging your Q, if you try to get closer to attack them with auto attacks or to attack the tower to get plates the jungler gank you
If they roam you can't follow them since they are going into bushes and they could be just waiting you there to kill you
If there are early fight with the jungler you can't do much because Sivir is not so strong in early, so if you help you and your team die and your team flame you and if you dont help, your team die aswell and flame you
ADC mid brings me back. I remember Ashe and Sivir mid being meta back in the day

remember that adc mains say adc is the weakest role, yet they are played in all lanes except jungle and support
Ashe, Jhin, Twitch, Kalista, and most importantly Senna are all played in support, and Kindred, Twitch, Teemo, Graves, Zeri, and Quinn are played in jungle.

I’m surprised Mid Sivir hadn’t come to mid earlier. Her kit seems good for pushing waves and poking the enemy, and she can deal with midlaners that rely on comboing their opponent really easily.

I'm usually so stingy in losing my shield as malzahar mid and Sivir getting rid of it every other wave will either be the death of me or I'll learn to not care about losing my shield so much.

To me is insane that all the adcs that are bad in botlane suddenly they're op in solo lanes , vayne in bot is completly shit in toplane is turbo op , sivir is terrible in bot and suddenly in mid is op , lucian is only situational and in mid is turbo broken , corki in bot is unplayable but in mid is op and same for tristana , maybe is not the champs and is actually the role itself
2 levels worth of stats make a pretty big difference.
Hey Dobby I was wondering if you have seen the Locket of the Iron Solari rush Varus mid build? I think it’s pretty good and is a great alternative to the top Varus build that was meta for a bit. The Solari really carries in the early game and makes you really hard to kill

It's still funny to see adc players complaning every years that their role/champion are bad while being able to play their champions/role on every single lane while countering every other champion in the game.

reminder! it looks easy because the showed gameplay is a challenger player and it's really hard to copy that playstyle.
Its so weird now, people swap ap for bot as a carry and then swap adc to mid lane as a counter, now i hope maybe we will have dual mid lane as a counter to it. Then 2 side lane build tanky and become another island while 3 man fighting non stop at mid.

The question is what does she have that makes her better mid ? there are champs with way better poke, others with similar waveclear, teamfights...

Her clear is way better than tris and way safer, with navori her is is super low cd especially with ult, no spell cd basically. Insane kiting with passive. She has teamfight utility and insane aoe

Been since the xayah mid meta like 2 years ago that i played adcs mid (xayah kai'sa jinx) and roughly a year i play mages bot (taliyah lux ahri syndra). Its like adcs are better mid and mages better bot

Statik was op and it gets enhanced by sivirs wave clear. She’s a good champion for a broken item, that’s how it is.

@@kawaiiempoleon8721 it's a higher Elo pick, just like other adc picks, I wouldn't recommend a plat to play corki/trist because they can't use their range/spacing right and will get outplayed by a low skill point and clicker
Sivir does seem good AF vs most assassins mid, scary ones would maybe be talon or yasuo (not an assassin but)

Also on higher Elo it's much harder to roam cuz ppl are less dumb, especially on early assassins, if u lost a wave and got no kills (sivir clears waves very fast from lv 3) u might get cooked

Shoving people under tower, in low elo especially, is amazing for an adc. Not to mention the extra priority you have to secure grubs and dragon. Ult is a game changer too in the right comps. Just because she isn't a 1v5 Vayne or literally one shotting with traps like Cait, I think losing the game through attrition as an adc is something really only Tristana and maybe TF can do. Tristana gets banned? Pick Sivir.
I think Smolder mid is being slept on, but clearly sivir is superior right now.
Smolder waveclear might be a bit too slow and too late to become strong.
All the AD champions picked in midlane have a very strong emphasis on their abilities to push or at least clear waves very quickly early, to ensure smooth build into first item.
@@patrickwailui1864 I agree, but the early game trading potential with the buffed Q is very strong into melee matchups. I’ve played it plenty in d2 mmr vs champs like aurora/akali/sylas etc and find great success.
yeah if you get an angle it looks pretty strong you can usually bully melee's and other scalers and outscale almost every1 in the process

Just to note, if trying in low ELO. I suggest reversing the Q and W level ups unless you are laning against a long range mage (long cooldown mages are easy pickings for Auto attacks just dodge their attack or use E) or a low cd battle mage.
