As an aussie. I will always want Australia to win... But this was unbelievable to watch. Absolutely amazing. Hats off to stokes and England. They were down and out. That was brilliant. One of the best matches of any sport I've watched. Take a bow, stokes and even leach. Enjoy, England. Well fought and well deserved win.
After the World Cup heroics who could have ever dreamed that - 1 down, 1 drawn and a 1st innings total of 67 by test match 3 - and with a never before achieved score to chase down - we would witness an event that almost overshadowed the World Cup triumph, and not a series win either? But that is what all us lucky souls watching witnessed - something that in many years to come we will all say "I saw that - I watched it live - the day Ben Stokes beat Australia".
If you don’t understand the pure joy and anguish of test cricket - I feel sorry for you. There is literally nothing like it - 5 days of sport at its most sublime. A modern gladiatorial arena. Phenomenal.
The most amazing thing about test cricket is 99% of the time the better team wins,You don't win a test match by a fluke thing like an accidental goal in football,30 mins of haphazard slogging in T20 cricket,You just need to outclass the opposition
@@waqas2840 , if he's better (and that's a big if), then it's not by much. Botham's stats up until around 1985-86 were phenomenal. Won matches with bat and ball consistently.
@Aman Viroja He is already one of the best all rounders and has enough legendary performances already to date. Don't forget his 256 against South Africa on top of what he has done recently
@Aman Viroja Has he had a world cup winning innings too? Has he had an innings equivalent to Stokes' 256? Stokes has had a number of legendary performances already
Ben stokes and Eoin Morgan are the key 🔑 roll for getting world cup in 2019 for England it is not a un faired new rule for getting which team will score more boundaries for deciding winning team it is already repeated in rr v kkr in 2015
@@itzbashxll._6987 I know where he was born, but he moved here when he was quite young. It was England cricket that made him into what he is today. When his parents moved back to New Zealand, he chose to stay in England.
OK the LBW decision that wasn't given. I actually think it was a terrific umpiring decision! The ball tracking system needs to be reviewed because it's broken. If you look closely in slow motion and trust me I have 100 times, you can see where the ball makes first impact on the pad it's sliding down off. The ball tracker appears to pick up the second impact on the leg which shows it hitting middle and off stump. Well the angle on first impact it looks like it's barely hitting off. Have a look in slow motion and let me know. Clearly had the aussies reviewed they would have won, but it does appear we've found a bug with the ball tracking system, so in retrospective it's actually more fair what happened.
I'm very, very happy for him and for us! He is incredible. I am also very happy that he seems to have made significant changes in his life after that low point last year, when he beat the shit out of some local while drunk. This is a person who has grown up and rapidly matured. If he fulfils his potential - and after this, he's well on the way - he could be one of the best ever.
He wasn't drunk - the 2 agitators were pissed and spoiling for a fight - Ben just obliged them, he was so quick they were on the floor and yelling for injury lawyers before you could say "Wish I hadn't goaded the ginger guy"; a point the court upheld when acquitting him of all charges.
getting bowled out for 67 wasn't ideal - get this quote in the record books for understatement of the fucking millenium. also, he was so, so wrong about people forgetting if they lost in manchester. This was a miracle that i hope will be remembered for decades to come
Arise Sir Benjamin... (Only don't go and get pissed and beat anyone up after your inauguration)... Greatest performance with bat that I've ever seen. Played, my man!
We will do the next Greatest Walk for Sir Ian Terrence Botham. We have to erradicate Cancer from every human and we will. Benjamin, give me the hand man. We will and we can for this motherland. Let us see the happiness that comes onto others face. Let us live with what we have.
He’s got edge about him. Yes, at times can be a loose cannon. Managed and channel correctly you can produce that. Look at Stuart Broad for example not streetwise enough and no edge.
Look at the emmffwd oz basturds you count. We are The Imperial English, it is our sport and it is our language. If you imbeciles do not like. Go bugger you.
One of the greatest sporting achievements i’ve seen. Superhuman.
Ben Stokes for Prime minister!

Matt Whitehead well said mate 🤙
You sir, are a gentleman. Long live the Ashes, greatest sporting contest in the world!
Magnanimous in defeat, your comments epitomises what sport in our case the ashes is all about.
Hero. And really nice to not blame Lyon. He clearly explains that pressure at the highest level can lead to not taking the ball cleanly...
Where are you from

Class! Cheers for uploading. He has been involved in two of the greatest sporting moments I've ever seen, both within six weeks of each other
Great mature press conference, certainly did the hard yards today

Fantastic player and good sense of humor.
This guy is goddamn superhuman.
That is absolutely first class by Stokes. Put the team on his back the whole game. Magnanimous and poised after all those hard yards. Fair play lad
I think Ben stokes is now in the top 3 of all rounders omg I'm in awe
Sir ben stokes
Ben Stokes is the next Ian Botham. Thumbs up if you concur.
He is way more better than Ian Botham

Legend
@Aman Viroja Yes he is, carried the England Team for years
@Aman Viroja What he has done in 2-3 months is enough to cement him as a legend already. He has many more match winning performances coming though

@Aman Viroja I disagree. It's legendary performances that make a legend, as this is what people remember after retirement.

David Jones, I completely agree, and the law asks for the decision to be based on the first impact.
Leg not off.

bordertide He admitted he drank or 3 or 4 beers, 6 vodkas and a “few” Jagerbombs, that would make him drunk to most people, including me.
There's nothing wrong with beating the shit out of someone when they attack someone with a bottle in front of you. Watch the footage
