Seeing them rolling was funny but this happened to me when I was around 7 or 8 in 1972 or 1973 in real life driving with my Grandparents in their 1967 Supervan. The car rolled at the top of a brow of a dual carriageway on a slightly damp road surface. It slid down the other side at speed and bounced off the central reservation and flipped onto the other side gouging holes in the front wings and ripping the rear view mirrors off. Eventually came to a stand still at which point the front windscreen simply popped out and we were dragged out to safety. No serious physical damage although I remember bouncing off the inside of the back of the van (no seat belts in those days) and grazing my head a bit on the sharp bits of "raw" fibre glass. My Grandmother was quite shook up and was seen to by a local Doctor. We were put up for the night free of charge by a B&B which miraculously we stopped right in front of. Some local men flipped the car back on it's wheels and patched it up as best they could. We drove it home the day after. It was scrapped I think after that and my Grandfather got a replacement. I think it was up in Scotlnd but my memory of where it was isn't clear (could even have been Wales) - we used to go all over the place camping.
This was 'Top Gear Motorsport', the shortish lived spin-off programme of the original Top Gear, and Tony Mason (former rally co-driver) was one of its presenters.
"Jeremy Clarkson would not test drive this!" That didn't necessarily age well, also makes me feel like this was a Top Gear segment, idk tho. (Edit: it says Top Gear on the back of his car when he goes for several tumbles.)

It's from old top gear 1995
0:37 BOTTOM GEAR?!
They predicted the future of Jixaw.
The World Champion's car (at the start line) was Maryland 199.
I live in Maryland, just a few miles from the White House!
now this is something that the 3 wheeler would like to watch
Looks so much fun lol
Aye what a laugh! Haha. Bloody great cars!
Silliest car ever made!
Amazing car
When will they run out of Robins? They're like 2CVs. Not made any longer. 2CVs have 4 wheels and will roll over.
@algrayson8965 there's still loads of them around. Despite their terrible design, these things were a roaring success! 🤷♂️
They are not all robin's!
3600 robin's left
3000 Rialto's
And a few hundred Regals/supervans
Mr. Bean should be on this race..he would make them all stumble..😂😂
Clarkson did it.
More like Reliant Robin Demo Derby! XD
Surely that's a Regal in the thumbnail? 🙄
Its not only robns
Yeah tell em 😂 that's clearly a Regal in the thumbnail!
I have 2 estate versions one is a 1975 version Robin Super 850. And the other is a 1994 Robin Rialto 850 version.
I think the mini cooper won
Different 3 wheel cars
Is this still a thing?
