We were stationed in Germany in the military and my parents bought a new 65 Variant S like this. Red with a white top. We brought it back to the US and my father and I picked it up in New York. I took my driver's license test drive in it and passed with flying colors on my 16th birthday. Less than a year later, my father wrecked it and I never saw it again. I was happy because he bought a souped up 64 Chevy. I would rather have that square back now. I have missed it for decades and I still dream about it and that I am driving it. I hope I can get another one before it's too late.
I had four of these automobiles as with nearly all car owner autos made any where in this world most things depend on how it is made how used driven kind of traffic in fast slow time of day who does mantaince repairs service on them how often oil changes done quality of parts use weather roads cleaned or not rusty in some places lots of rain vandalism accidents use of proper gasoline oil not all automobiles of same make models made mass production on assembly lines are exactly the same as are from tires makers nor are all drivers operating it the same times of days on sales rods more or less traffic as is rush hour when no one rushes also who will get the same exact gasoline miles per gallon when mucho things things are each day depending on where used or driven easy or rough on brakes light or heavy your foot on gasoline pedal stop and go idiling my days I saw as said most accidents happen on left turns or you drive doing nothing at all wrong getting hit from the rear when a car there was pushed into yours by some alcoholic drugs loco nut who drove his dad car dad never knew about until polize called him two years later I never saw one cent from this driver until my insurance agent called told me what number to call dmv ny state full amounts was in my mail two days later only to say mucho honesty pays who you do business as I do mine mucho honest that gets me mucho respect at places i am a costumer at selling my salvage items or my love relations married or not try it honesty pays very well when properly done donot believe tv ads for auto insurance that are not truthful enough not saying all details involved before they write you a policy or you decide I have learned mucho on cars things in life we all do daily
