I own a Weped GT50 and after 300 miles it still feels the same way i took it out of the box. It has such an amazing build quality, it truly looks better in person than in videos or pictures.

While I love dualtron as the probably premier maker of scooters, that Weped is much more appealing at half the weight and 85% of the performance. What does amaze me every time I watch your videos is the unbelievable beauty of the ride, the fact that CA has perfect streets, weather & the space for such rides, etc. Incredible....

The weped is appealing for sure, it's a great package and boasts a lot of performance for the size. The Zero 10 looks like an awesome scooter, you're going to love it! I'll have to see about getting a review unit to make content on. Ride safe!
I just got my Weped GT 50e and it's very portable. Totally different from my previous Dualtron Ultra but hey it's a slimmer build and the drum brakes are a great fit for the Fat Tyres. Gotta love the RGB! ❤️

is the gt50e much more portable than your ultra? how does it stack up against the ultra?
@@betopelotaz1 for me yes, it's slimmer in terms of the build and I can easily ride alongside cars even when it's traffic. In terms of torque they're quite alike but from 60-80km/h Ultra's faster as with the Weped GT I've reached 74km/h by far. Loving the Grip the Weled GT has even on wet roads.

Green technology always costs more, just like healthier food always costs more than junk food. You always pay more usually just on the front end to have the best.
Look at the specs, should it cost $400 like a low end Xiaomi? As the narrator said - you get what you pay for, and Dualtron makes the best made scooters. Compare the specs/polish/craftsmanship/design of them side by side and you'll see what I mean. $6K is simply a number as it pushes the performance and capabilities of such a scooter to the limits of the current technology.
You can get lesser machines for a lesser price point /
Larger wheels make for a smoother ride, better suspension makes for a smoother ride. User replaceable tires a must or at least something that motorcycle or scooter shop will help you with. I had to DIY (pain hard annoying) a tire onto my Segway MP when one of the OEM tires would not hold air after 400 miles // Ninebot not very helpful & cost of a new wheel motor with mounted tire cost much too much given the cost of getting a brand new one, with new battery, another charger, new tires on both sides, new motors, bearings, etc etc // semi- disposable
Thank god Weped is coming the to USA. I feel they are good direct competition for Dualtron and the more markets they can expand to, the more they should push Minimotors to stay on their A game. Can't wait to see more videos of both and will be keeping my eye on Weped in the USA for a future upgrade
Yeah super happy to finally start seeing these scooters outside of Korea. They are beautiful machines, maybe some of the best engineered scooters out there. Its going to be another month or two before they are shipping but I will keep you updated.
@@AlienRides The question is, will they offer the same level from the factory custom options that they do in Korea? I went through their website a few weeks ago and it is sick what you can do straight from the factory to make it your own scooter
@@akayareal Yes indeed, I believe it will take a while, but we will have a lot of customization available to us as well.
we are the first to bring weped brand (MiniR model) in the North America and we stopped doing business with them because they never honor the warranty

@@AlienRides Better too as the battery technology keeps improving, I can't wait for ultracapacitor version that do not have battery fade like lithium ion // I know all about it from Nissan LEAF & Segway MP / cellphones & tablets & laptops & digital cameras & even work in Aerospace // Lithium Cobalt batteries even NMC fade hard over a 5-10 year period / I also want to know about tire replacement ease since changing the tires on my Segway MP extremely hard // I did it with great effort // also is these things water resistant IP rated ?
Aaron Schwarz yeah, definitely looking forward to newer and improved battery tech! I don’t know much about these ultracaps I’ll have to research them.
As for water resistance, they don’t come IP rated unfortunately. So while you can ride in a light drizzle with no problems, I would not take either of these in a downpour.
Tire changes are easier, but a lot less necessary due to them being tubeless. You can typically just plug them and continue riding.
Definitely the WEPED all day long. When it comes to high performance scooters the length of the deck is way more important than the width especially for me since I ride goofy footed. It seems to be about the same width as my Speedway 4 Pro which is wide enough. My only concern would be the height of the handlebars. They definitely look short in the video. After customizing my ultra there is no way I could ride a scooter with the handlebars around my crotch area😂. I know the X can't be modded for handlebar height. If the weped can then definitely that would be the one. Between these two scooters and the Thunder I'm glad I bought the ultra. Now that the mods are complete( besides hydraulic brakes) I absolutely love it!👍✌
Yeah, once you have the perfect dialed in scooter it can be hard to find something better for sure! I'm thinking about getting the DTX and doing some crazy mods, like making the deck longer, that should be a nice several month nightmare project 😅
If you get the X just start off by making a custom foot plate that goes over the rear shock. I'm pretty sure carbon Revo has already got one in the works if it can be bolted to the deck. But only if it financially makes sense.

Good video. I absolutely love the look of the Weped gt50e. Glad they decided to bring it to the United States. With that said, it is very expensive.
Gregory Patzelt yes, I think the frame construction, which makes it so beautiful, is not cheap. The CNC machines are expensive and take a long time to run I’m sure.

Finally a powerful scooter that's not the size of a tank (Weped GT50) love the slimline design but, as expected, a bit pricey but as you say - you get what you pay for huh....nice video mate - keep them coming! Bring on the Boosted Rev - can't wait to see what you think...…….
I’m interested in checking out the rev, I expect a polished, but slow scooter. I don’t know anyone with one, but I heard of some demo events so maybe I will check it out there.

Love the Dueltron X, actually have one on order, but they really need to build a cover/foot stand for the rear shock so you can position your rear foot better. It looks so out of balance to have your rear foot so far to one side since the rear leg is holding and balancing most of your weight. I love these shocks but they really should have thought about the rear foot placement.
Yeah, you can brace against the back right of the scooter, but I would personally love for a much longer deck. Hopefully in the future.

hey alienrides, nice to see companies finally starting to move these new 21700 cells into the e scooter market; do you think these bigger popular companies like minimotors will adapt these newer cells anytime soon?
Oh yeah, I think we're going to start seeing more and more manufacturers switch over to them, or their offerings will become obsolete and won't sell as well. I also ride electric unicycles and some of the manufacturers have started to switch over. Just a matter of time before they all do. Now some scooter manufacturers might still offer lesser battery packs in some cheaper models, as they do today, but I'm sure they will all be offering a high end 21700 cell battery pack for their flagship models.

Genkuro Shuriken they are some of the best scooters, it’s a good dream to have!
Also on my list is the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 since it uses Minimotors Engines. One thing I like about the Dualtron X is that it comes in perfect in my eyes. Further mod to it would ruin it visually. The Weped however is nothing to be scoffed at. One has to practice restraint so as not to over mod it. But if I am one to choose and with surplus coin to splurge, I'd go for the Dualtron X at this point and also have the Weped GT50E or even the earlier Weped RR later on.

Hey I noticed that an E-Bike called, “Sur-Ron” it seems pretty high quality and it isn’t as expensive as Stealth E-Bikes. I have heard a lot of good things about them. You should check it out the people who sell them are Luna Cycles.

As usual, enjoyed your vid,..since u commented on the deck size, one thing I wanted to ask since you've ridden pretty much all high end scooters, even the up and coming Boosted, I wanted to ask , on the topic of deck *height*, do you notice especially in the high end scooters that because of the higher clearance (I noticed this when test riding the Spider), that having a higher vs lower deck clearance affects maneuverability? One thing I noticed off the bat when test riding the spider, was a feeling of floating above ground - on the other end of the spectrum the new Boosted has a very low deck clearance and it seems (based on the video you showed on your boosted review) that the machine was very maneuverable allowing for more controlled carving of corners, turns, etc. I was wondering if you noticed this as well.
I think that you bring up a very good point here, around scooter geometry and handling. This is something that's very important for monster scooters, but I don't think many owners, or even manufacturers, are aware of. I think there's a lot of math and engineering involved to find the right geometries, and we're only starting to scratch the surface there.
Until people get more involved in the engineering behind it, I think we only have personal opinion. A lot of people say that having a lower center of gravity is great for control and cornering, and maybe the boosted gives that to you out of the box, but maybe you could also just bend your knees slightly to have the same effect on a Spider. Also maybe the higher deck of the Spider could be better for everyday riding if you live in a bumpy area, or go off curbs?
I'm mostly just thinking out loud here, because I don't know yet, but I definitely want to learn more about this myself as well.

Arbie H. So they are a bit different, you’re going to find that the Dualtron Thunder has a much larger deck from the factory, but I think a lot of mods will come out for the Weped. If you like the size of the Weped I think it’s an awesome scooter for sure. If you can’t wait, you can order the Thunder today and get it a month or two earlier than the Weped.

I went for a test ride on the Dualtron X at Minimotors in San Rafael. I'm already saving some $ for that monster of a scooter! :D The torque and acceleration on that thing is nuts!
Wow! Both amazing scooters. The X looks like it could use a suspension upgrade if you want to do a lot of jumping. But for normal riding, it looks super smooth.
SuperSport1966 what would you replace it with? Felt super smooth to me, but I’m not super familiar with these suspension systems.
@@AlienRides I'd have to research that. Like I say, it looked super smooth when riding normal, but when they jumped off the speed bumps, it appears to bottom out a bit. Maybe I'm seeing that wrong. But, a stiffer spring, and maybe a reservoir system would help on jumps. If you can get an adjustable shock at those sizes that would be super helpful too. (Dampener and Rebound adjustable.)
If those shocks already have the Dampener and Rebound adjuster screws, you might play with them a bit. On my motorcycle (and most other motorcycles), Shocks are set up for a 180lb rider from the factory. So I needed to adjust to my weight. Then, when I lowered my bike, I needed to adjust again. When it's dialed in correctly, it makes a world of difference.
@@SuperSport1966 Yeah, there were adjustment screws for the shocks, I think it was right at the middle when we were riding, we should be able to make them stiffer. I'm sure we could upgrade to better components though.

Alien Rides yeah, I will buy both and the rion, the mclaren of the escooters, lol. There is a fragment of the video where Sophia is riding the weped right? What does she think about it compared to her Rion??
TimeSeries SCC I think she only rode it for a short time, and I’m not sure she has the Rion yet, but I will get her thoughts on it. I think that she mentioned the turning on the wide Weped tires is very different. You really need to put your body weight into it to turn it.
Having the 1st gen apocalypse, I'd like another scooter with similar dimensions and a locking stem. The dualtron 3/thunder is wider than I'd like, and the X is just insane.
Is the gt50 deck width narrower than the dualtron 3s?
I'm not a fan of the weped stem. Just me and my tastes (not a fan of that curved look), but I think mini motors made a great looking scooter in the dualtron 3.
Will C the GT50 deck is definitely more narrow than the DT3, could be a good fit for you. Have you tried the speedway V? I believe that’s slightly wider than the GT50, and keeps the straight stem that you like.
How do the two brands compare? Differences in suspension, comfort? The weped stem looks very solid
Ken Okrend both are awesome brands, the Weped frame and stem are very well built and I can’t remember any noise or flex from the stem. Suspension and comfort the DTX wins I think, it’s more smooth, but the Weped might be better for racing in a straight line. The tires on the Weped are super wide, you can let go and it will just stand up without a kickstand.
Dualtron X has a variable suspension system, which is way-way-way more attractive than the Ultra/Thunder replacable rubber cartridge system. You can adjust and turn the wheels on the go and adapt it to everything in between swampy mud field and flat asphalt road conditions. Also I recommend tightening the steering ability in the front when going high speed, otherwise it feels rugged and outright dangerous when facing the wind.
@@KarmusDK yeah, that's good points, the DTX suspension is really amazing, and sure is the damper I'm sure - I just wish I was better at knowing how to adjust them heh. Will have to play with them more.

I know there's many folks in the UK who ride scooters, even though they are illegal currently. Hopefully they legalize them soon because they are such a great way of getting around. 👽🖖

So really really leaning towards the Weped gt50 for my first high powered e-scooter...coming from riding some pretty dang fast gas gopeds, but got tired of messing with mixing gas. Would you say the build quality on the GT50 is worth not having the same top speed as say the dualtron and other brands? My goped went almost 50mph but I found myself never going that fast cause it was very scary lol
I think the build quality on the Weped is excellent, and given that you said you're not a speed demon, this scooter should have plenty of power for you. I think it would be a great choice for your first high powered scooter!

Alien Rides not bad I was looking at the full face helmets. My Rion should be here next week. Only concern about the full face is how hot it will be because I live in Florida. The open face like you recommended might be a good option

I realy feel very uncomfortable riding a scoot that has a low handlebar. I prefer my handlebar leveled to my chest. Or a lottle below my chest. It frels more stable and controlable. Is it just me?
People like different feeling rides for sure, so whatever works best for you. If it's lower, it's totally cool to bend your knees, get down low, and lower your center of gravity. It is a bit more tiring to ride that way though.

I'm real close to pulling the trigger on this gt50e but 3500$ is no small chunk of cash; am a little nervous about it; I'm looking for a scooter and think this seems to have the features i'm looking for/ compact/portability large battery all at the same time great performance for its size. don't think for the size and performance there's any scooter out there that can beat it. should i do it?

If you got the money for it it’s definitely a quality scooter. Compact, good quality, looks great. I say go for it. I can’t think of another scooter in the price range that would be better given the features you’re looking for.

WAIT!!!!! It doesn't have safety mirrors and luggage holder. How could it be 6000$ for Dualtron X? Minimotors need to think twice about these amenities..Promoting hyper-performance scooter but forgetting the safety features is dangerous practice. Thanks Minimotors ignored the safety standards.
Mirrors would be nice, but yeah, most scooters don't have those yet. I do love the Dualtron X though, and hope model like these get safer and safer in the future.

Hi bro.. still remember me.. I was driving home,, but my DT the acceleration or the speed until 60miles or 60max speed.. normally the 3rd mode acceleration it’s crazy and I drive 80miles or max speed 80.. but now until 60.. so the problem are the battery inside ? Coz I been using almost 2 months now I drive every day and night... can u help me for that..
Hey, sorry about the issues you're experiencing. I'm not super familiar with troubleshooting these, but hope we can find a solution. Is it the acceleration or max range that was affected, or both? Perhaps you can try lifting the scooter up and verify that both motors work and spin freely when rotated by hand, making sure that the rotor isn't catching on the brakes or anything. Hope we can get to the bottom of it!
Dualtron X2 has a longer deck. Isn't it?
The DTX 2 is really nice, but it still has the same short stubby deck. Not a huge fan.

which one is fastest thunder or X? I'm planning to steal one of those beast...
Both are fast, but I find that the X has about 10% more speed. One thing that is interesting though is that some people put DTX controllers into their thunder. Gives it a little bit more speed :)
But handlebars on Dualtron X is way too small... Can you tell your opinion how can we make it longer? (on Ultra you can simply install bicycle handlebars - but you can't do the same on X)
Vladimir Osipov hmm, the rudder is the same as handlebars, correct? I think we would need a custom built one, or I also saw that you can buy extensions as well for bicycles, maybe they will work?

Yeah, the Dualtron deck is really nice, but I do wish it was just a bit bigger. You can actually buy an aftermarket deck for the weped as well, but it's still not as wide as the Dualtron's deck.
I would really like to have one of these but the prices put them out of range - it would be hard to justify anything over $1200 to my wife.
Yeah, that's fair. These are expensive machines, and it can be really hard to choose, but you have a support community here to help you with your decision. The choice can really be difficult, but in the long run you realize these these power scooters can be so awesome that sometimes you just need to find a new wife. 😬😁

Hi, how does it brakes Weped GT, it looks that ir only has electric brakes. I have read that this models is like "Dualtron Thunder" competition and Thunder has Hidraulic Disc Brakes with EABS. ¿What's your opinion about Weped GT Brakes v/s Dualtron Brakes?
I believe it will have electronic braking and it also has drum brakes in each wheel. Overall I think the braking is very strong. I'm not sure what has stronger braking, the Weped or the Dualtron scooters, maybe we can do a brake test.

You can buy a seat for most Dualtron scooters, including the Dualtron X. I'm not sure if anyone has built a seat for the 10X or Weped yet.

It’s not cheap, the DTX is around $6k usd, Weped will be less. Both are high quality scooters.
What about the suspension which has the best suspension It looks like the zero 10X has the best but you know better and also is there any difference between dualtron ultra and thunder (again in the suspension)?
The 10X does have a very fun, trampoline-line suspension, but it's better suited for low speeds and off-roading. I believe the Ultra and Thunder have a similar suspension. Nothing beats the adjustable massive suspension of the Dualtron X though, by far the best I've tried. I'll be trying to do a comparison video of the X vs the Thunder in the near future.
What do you mean by low speeds and is it stable at higher speeds?
@@Dimitar_Lozanov I have heard concerns that the 10X suspension may not be great at high speeds, like if you hit a bump at speeds above 30 mph it may not keep you secured, and maybe you'll lose footing. I've never had this problem myself, and think it's fantastic scooter, but there is some concern from the community. Ultra and Thunder typically go faster than this though, and have a suspension built for it.

Is It really fair to compare a 3000 dollar scooter with a 6000 dollar scooter. That said loved the video and ordered an X. 6 grand hell you can't take it with you when you die. I've spent more on a downhill mtn bike with zero regrets. The only difference between men and boys is the price of our toys.

The handlebar height seems lower on these two than on Thunder, Zero-10X etc. Could be tiring for the back after an hour or so?
I think the Weped might be lower, but the Dualtron X felt about the same as the Thunder to me. I'll try to get measurements in future videos. Personally I like the handlebars a bit lower, it allows you get bend the knees a bit to lower your center of gravity. But that's definitely for more aggressive, and tiring, riding.
@@AlienRides Off topic for this video, but the Dualtron Thunder has just been changed. with "15 improvements" including a 9-step variable suspension system in addition to the five cartridge options. Things keep improving, so you have to keep making new videos!

The Turbowheel Lightning (rebranded Zero 10X) is definitely a great intro scooter into the world of monster scooters, I used to have a lot of fun on one. I don't think it's quite as refined as these beasts, but it's really nice.
I have a turbowheel lightning - it's not suitable for me at my age and ability level. Offered for sale with 42 miles on it.

Gary Linnert ah gotcha. If you are still interested in scooters look into something with a seat perhaps. I think a bunch of dualtrons can have seats, but not sure about the 10X. Or an e-bike is always a good option too.

BABI* sharp eyes there 😅 so actually the spring fell out at some point previous to the demo day, likely something hit it. It’s being repaired currently, but we just removed it for riding. Hopefully it’s not a common occurrence.
