- This week, on “The Franchise” presented by GEHA (www.geha.com), we relive the Chiefs historic run to their second Super Bowl victory in team history. Starting with a memorable opening night at Marlin’s Park, we take you throughout the week in Miami, culminating with the eventual Super Bowl LIV comeback thriller, against the San Fransisco 49ers. Then, we relive the championship parade in the heart of downtown Kansas City, ending with an unforgettable rally on the steps of Union Station.

I was actually nervous since EP16 thinking what would happen to the amazing GEHA series if the Chiefs lose but here we are, EP17 and it was epic. Just like Chris Jones said, it was truly like a movie where the last 7 minutes was all about the Guardians of the Kingdom battling their way into victory and the ending was a tear jerker too. #YouGottaFightForYourRightToParty

When I heard that I realized how many chiefs fans we had there. I was sure we were gonna win it once I heard it. Chiefs fans are never out of the game.
So I was at work and they let me go at 5:15 so I could go watch the game. Driving to a watch party, i had the radio on this as they 'started' the anthem. When that roar of "Chieeeeeefs" came, I was so pumped. I literally made it inside to the bar and sat down with my mom and sister right as kickoff commenced. AHHHHHHHHHHH best day ever. I waited my whole life for that game. Tradition baby. Home of the Chiefs, even at the Superbowl, just like I imagined.

When they started doing this series, I was thinking that they were expecting a Super Bowl. When mid-season rolled around, I was wondering if they were going to try again next year. When we came back from that mid-season slump and went all the way to win the Super Bowl, and they had the forethought to do this series all season...someone has a crystal ball somewhere. What a wild season, and to have it documented so thoroughly is awesome.

This is the greatest series ever IMHO. The Chiefs Kingdom was allowed the follow their favorite team from the disappointing end of 2018 . To the new beginning of 2019 with management, the draft, OTA, Clark Hunt season goals , preseason and the ebb and flows until week 11. When the team put it all together and went on the championship run. Many thanks to GEHA for this historic presentation.

Born and raised in KC. Love my hometown and the Chiefs. What misfortune and tragedy over fifty years- young, promising players dying in the prime of life. Never had that franchise QB. (Did Patrick actually descend from Mt. Olympus)? I’m 73 years old and I could not stop crying. I am so proud of this team: the players, coaches, ownership, staff and all the employees. Kansas City is a beautiful city with beautiful people, and the Chiefs represent the city with class and excellence.

i love that we started this series calling the shot. kansas city had the guts- the balls, to call it. and they did it. doubters be damned. haters can hate. mahomes magic, the legion of zoom... and the ones everyone threw the most shade at, the honey badger, mr clutch dirty dan, stone cold, and how bout our boy "mr 5-5 and he aint off sides!". i loved this team long before, and they finally did it. i wish DT would of been there to see it. i wish EB29 would of been there with them. all the soldiers that came before. all that momentum, no one was gonna stop them. get yourself a lead, it wont help.
