Super. I got my start with an Atlas HO layout, one almost like this one, right out of the book, but equipped with Lionel and Mantua/Tyco equipment. All of the Atlas track survived my childhood and is in use on my modern layout, with my #6 switches (2) used for industrial sidings, while my #4 switches and sectional 9" straight track and 22", 18", 15", and 4 3/4 " radius curved paved street track (Eldon) and even my ancient Atlas diamond crossings, are installed on the trolley line and in the sugar beet mill yards and trackage. I hope someone who likes model trains gets this, as it sure brought back some memories for me. I recently even bought an old school Atlas SD locomotive frame from my hobby shops used section, which was $10.00 with the motor still attached, not for the frame, but the motor to power my almost fifty year old hand cranked Atlas turntable, because it was cheaper than most of the "new old stock" original motors out there. For Atlas fans, all of my old school Atlas locomotives, including two treasured EMD SD-24 high hood locomotives painted in the Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy/Burlington Route Chinese Red paint scheme, still operate great both inside running freight or outside plowing snow, usually assisted by two Lionel EMD GP-9s, and have a nice patina on the paint job after almost fifty years of operation that makes them look very realistic. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.

It’s a cool layout even for being 50 years old, I’m sure the new owners will love it just as much and hopefully keep it going.
If I had a trainset like this when I was younger I’d be playing all day everyday 🚂💨💨💨

At least you found a home for this .... I had to cut my 4x8 in pieces because I couldn't get it out of the room .... R.I.P. 😭

@@XBOXShawn12thman Nice! I live in a townhouse and have room in the basement for a 4x8 layout, just can't make it permanent as I would also have to bust it up to get it out.

Not bad for a 50 year old layout! I'm sure someone will be thrilled to have that.
