- Mumbo's first Minecraft world that was used for redstone testing. This is the world I used to learn redstone. The Original redstone testing world, with with my first ever redstone contraptions. In this video Mumbo reacts to old redstone builds, then trys to rebuild them bigger (or smaller!!) and better.

I love how you point out the weird bugged sticky pistons. Reminds me of my redstone testing world on the xbox one edition, where i somehow broke the ever loving crap out of an observer, i have no clue how, but it now sits forever as a one sided redstone block. Its just permanently putting out a signal, and not 1 tick pulses either, no its just a power source now xD

I can't wait until 2030 where mumbo is like : "I can't imagine a time with out a deminor block. Man we had to make these 20 by 20 piston doors so big back then. Now we only need 6 redstone components"
with mods it takes 2 components there is a mod that adds an insanely useful piston that you right click on with an empty hand to determine how many blocks you want to push with it (a 3x3x3 cube sure, a 1x100 stick sure, a 20x20 slab yup) it is so OP you can make a 100x100 piston door by just a button and that piston plus a 100x100 block square

Mumbo i have a question!
In order to get a whole stack of items in creative you would have to hold shift then click it. Does that mean you quickly move your thumb over to the shift for getting the stack of blocks? or have you found a simpler way of doing this. I'm quite curious on this
To be boring and realistic, I think he just uses the middle mouse button, to get the stack, although it would be a lot more hilarious if he used the thumb...
@@sofusdelamotte9541 Yeah maybe you're right, but if i remember correctly, using the middle mouse button picks up the stack of blocks, but when Mumbo does it, it goes instantly to his hotbar. This is truly a mystery.

You can press a number while hovering above the item you need and a stack a of the item will go into the slot of the number you pressed

This was really neat to see, it's great to watch you improve your old builds! It'd be great to see some tutorials for how to make the new and improved versions of these - I'd personally love to build that glass door!

Mine was a shower system that turns on and off at the push of a button, and it doesn't even work that well. XD
My first one was a glass door, it was *not* flush and seamless however. On the other hand though I made that when I was like 6 or something, I've gotten better since then.

I so wish I’d kept more armageddon pistons in my redstone world back in 2014, I’ve searched through the world but the one I remember creating is gone, and it’s even patched in earlier versions of the game.
I love the glimpse into the past from your redstone world - so many weird contraptions :)
Here is a challenge for you: you have shown us around there many times and quite often you have said that you could not remember what this and that contraption did. Try to rebuild some of them to figure out what they did or were supposed to do.

Great video, I actually just watched the video where you found this world and in it you found a color combination lock piston door that should open when the colors in the door were right. I believe you said something about wanting to make that again and personally I think it'd be really cool to see realized in modern minecraft.

This really shows how similar the evolution of technology is for Minecraft and real life. How everything gets more compact, I used to have a 200 GB hard drive that was as big as a brick.

I really enjoyed seeing how you approach these problems with modern tools. I almost wish there were less builds in the video so you could go into more detail about what you're trying to change and how you think it'll work. I'd love to see more of these in the future, perhaps with greater focus directed towards how you're accomplishing the same tasks with new redstone components.

Just want to thank 2016 you for the auto brewing machine. Because you made it so you could download the testing version of it I uploaded it into 1.15.2 and it still works so I decided to go build it in my world. Everyone’s loving it especially me! Seriously I hated brewing and that made it way more fun.
