@odekye, This or the other PPSBN video wasn't meant to be a "showing off" video. Just some shots while teaching in the Italian seminar. No flow, no timing, no intent in the techniques which were shown. Instead of that some techniques step by step, movement by movement talking and explaining in between to let people understand how certain things work.
I agree with you Luca, great video and Mang Paul is a great Master, but there are many more in the USA, Indonesia (Bandung, Bogor) and other parts of the world!!! We are all one Brotherhood! Salam Sera :)
if you feel you need to be disrespectful of pendekar paul or anyone else, its not appreciated. you should keep your adat and hormat. its a major part of the art. especially since we all train from the knowledge directly from Pendekar Paul.
The best part about martial arts is the limited design of human structure. We all have the same motions, limits and weaknesses regardless. So a lot of martial arts have very similar techniques with the same goal and result. Only the execution and movements are a little different. The same takedown in a Silat form can be found similarly in Japanese Ninjutsu "Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu where I practiced it", Judo, Savate and Glima. Regardless of the throws, grabs or joint locks. Pretty much every martial art have one step in common always. In a serious spar or fight. You never just grab or throw. You always set up with a jab or type of strike.
i had a 3rd Brown sash ranking in kuntao silat/CDM International.no,ive never been blessed to meet the Pendekar,the connection is this,for along time now ive began and ended my day with the opening words. asking to recieve from the creator the things you do not see,actually works,he/she will show you.i was also shown i needed proper guidance the creator has sent me that also,though im not willing to mention them,Louie has searched and found them to be a source of guidance himself,peace odekeye.
@tonybells. would be nice to have everyone train together. i have to make 1 correction. danny huybrechts is not the lineage holder to pendekar paul de thouars. danny is a great practitioner, but he is not the lineage holder.you can ask pendekar yourself. danny was kepalan menguran .thats head instructor. danny is a good teacher. lots to learn from him. he really knows his stuff. I'm glad you train with tim anderson. tim is a good teacher and player as well. your lucky to have good instructors.

As far as I know, most of schools (from middle school through university) in Indonesia offered pencak silat as extracurricular activity. Maybe it less popular because some perguruan has strong mysticism that somewhat illogical (and at least for me -- not in accord with my religion) But pencak silat is a great sport :)
The PDT Bukti Negara Fighting Arts has grown tremendously in the last year. We are happy to have hundreds of practitioners in our organization. Many truths have been exposed to the general public. Pendekar Paul De Thouars is releasing and showing much more information than previously shown in the past. Its a very exciting time for training in Bukti Negara Fighting Arts. The oldest of senior students under pendekar as well as new students are all in. this video is only 1 example of whats going on

Hmm...not sure who you are commenting on, but from the surface it sounds like Guro Dan. Should this be the case, the Paul certified Dan. If Paul not speaks badly of Guro Dan, when in the past he spoke highly, what made him sing a different song? It is normally ego and politics, of which Paul has plenty, as evidence by the way he and his brothers got along. Guro Dan has zero politics, which is one of the many reasons I love him. He never speaks bad of anyone and no matter who you bring up will say that they have something to offer, which is true.

Ama Guro Billy Bryant,who actually wanted Serak,but Pendekar had just closed the doors of Serak ,and he was told he had to learn the bukti negara(the guardian system)my training begin as the uke so to speak,i was the person my guro practiced on, you understand this sort of thing of course,anyway a was given djurus1/2 samubut1/2 no langka that i recieved from a friend with extensive knowledge of "tongkhat" we would share,work what we had,test it under heavy conditions,u kno.plus the time

Based on the video you seen you can make that judgement? Again, nothing is revealed in the video's so in my opinion its kinda hard to make assumptions from that. Also no need for us to bring people down, some choose their way and thats all good, We choose to help uncle Paul and promote his art. And if uncle Paul asked me in for the technical advisor position i guess he know what he is doing, after all who of all ex students of uncle Paul trained with various teachers for 34 years?

We have other uncles in holland who are part of our group. we are a united family of serak. only the uncles in holland recognize Paul De Thouars be cause he is a student of Oom John De Vries. my other uncles in holland are from the Ventje De Vries line. We are one group and family. Indonesia, we are known, my uncles are known, that group is not in Bogor. they are directly from the Mas Jud.
NONE of the former students of Pendekar Paul has the pukulan curriculum but the current board members. you can see other videos of "gurus/teachers/mahas" claiming pukulan but they were never taught it. sad but true statement. we are moving forward as per the teachings of Pendekar Paul. all the former students of pendekar have something good to offer. they just are not up to date with many things including the art of pukulan since it was never taught to them. very simple truth. PPSBNI
No hard feelings odekeye and nobody is discrediting anyone. BN will move forward as uncle Paul wishes and everybody is welcome to join the BN organisation. In your comments you seems pretty close to uncle Paul, can i ask from who you learned BN?
