I love your content I would just prefer the camera to pan to the right a bit more when the engines spool (like HD Melbourne does) then you get to see condensation or vapour trail into the engine. I hate to criticise. Awesome content.

Why is the flight from Melbourne to L.A. 14h 20m, while the one from Melbourne to Vancouver -- more than 1,000 miles (1,600 km) farther -- just 10 minutes longer?
I know it has to do with the routes traveled -- obviously they're much different -- and maybe other factors, like the jet stream or the average speeds of the A380 compared to the A330.
But it's still amazing that the flight time is essentially the same.

You have got your distances wrong. MEL-LAX is 7921 miles, MEL-YVR is 8192 miles. So the difference is just 271 miles, not 1000 miles.
I think you may be thinking about the distance between LAX-YVR, which is 1081 miles. But that is irrelevant when traveling from MEL, as LAX is not on the way to YVR. They form a triangle.
