That is very, very hard work. As child in the US my mother used your technique for washing and "Scrub board" , she also used "Bluing on the white cloths." Can no longer find bluing in US stores anymore.
Tranchie Garvin, not sure where in the US live, but if they have Caribbean or Latino shops, you can usually find it there. If that fails, good ole Amazon usually carries it. Hope this helps.
@tranchie garvin: Yeah it is hard work at the end of the day fam ! But that's the life out there you know, although some of the population have washing machines It's so cool that you had that in the US as well! @Madam Manneh: Thank you for the advise he got !
You know what - it is only now that I look back at the video that I see we were mixing all of the colours lol! Guess I was too tired to notice or something lol
Thank God we have gone to machines now. I am so happy not to be doing this any longer. Yes, you knew you were good at this when you got the squish squish sound! lol, throw the soapy water on your garden, it keeps the bugs away.
You got that right lol! Because this is just tiering and takes forever lol, grateful for the people who do it though! Lol thxx, I'm rough around the edges, need to practise some more. And thxx for the tip!
I could relate to you when you said how tired you are. I don't usually wash my clothes my hand at home, I have a washing machine. But my mom and my grandma would wash their old things by hand. And I love and admire them. Jerejef waay
Lol I get so tired from it, happens when you're not really used to it lol. Ohh right, they do that? It's actually better sometimes because of the laundry machine can be too rough at times🥶🥶
Wow thats alot of scrubbing sis Marie. You got great handwashing skills. I wonder how I would do if I had to wash all my family's clothes by hand😰😩🤔. Now I have an idea of how many buckets I would need👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Good to see see you. I really luv your channel. Most of us of Caribbean descent are taught the same way at a young age. Allah bless and keep you and your family
Good to have you here! And thank you looads!!! I think our ancestors took the customs with them to different parts of the world and so you can see similarities across the african people all over the world. That's powerful ! May Allah bless you too fam!!!
Good afternoon Tranchie! Sent you an emal and a message on Instagram, hope you can check it out soon! It's good to be back once again actually, I love giving you guys content from The Gambia
Can I ask you a question please. I noticed that one of your fingernails is painted black. I could assume that is because you had henna done on your hand sometime recently. Could you let me know if I'm right please? Merci bien jerejef waay
My favorite part of washing is hanging it to dry!!!! I love the smell.

The first rinsing should be in order first the whites and then the bright and last the dark colours
