- My PS4 Controller TH 201, JDM 030 didn't turn on so I've opened it and check what's wrong inside. In this case, the problem was the flex conductive film which needed replacement. By following this guide, you can also replace the battery, thumbsticks, bumpers, triggers, rubber pads or anything else is needed.
TH201 is the motherboard of DualShock 4 v1, and JDM-001, JDM-011, JDM-020, TH-201, JDM-030, JDM-040 are all its variations.
This controller is JDM-030 and its conductive film is different than other JDM versions, but the overall process of disassembly is pretty much the same.
This tutorial of opening the controller may also be helpful for cleaning, repair analog stick drifting and so on...

Thank you very much! I'm Brazilian and you helped me solve my control problem🟩🟨
This controllers springs are driving me crazy any help in putting them back in properly would be appreciated
I propped a light inside a small cardboard box and carefully squeezed the spring ends and got it in place. Doing it inside the box prevented the spring from flying off into the carpet. It still feels softer than the side with a factory-installed spring, so I'm wondering if it it's supposed to have an extra twist. Could probably do that very carefully with 2 pairs of tweezers, but very tricky.
What model controller is this? I have a scuf infinity controller that I’m looking for the mid frame for. CUH-???
dualshock 4
TH201 GDM30😊
Why is the left side vibration motor different from the right side motor ?
left motor for heavy vibration, right for light vibro, you can test it if you connect ds4 to PC and run DS4windows
@@unit8347 Thank u, this must be the reason why my ps5 controller feels so disbalanced in terms of vibration in ps4 games such as uncharted trilogy.
It's supposed to give you the feeling of a stereo vibration feedback
Do I need some glue to stick the flex conductive film on its place? If yes wich one should I use?
I don't use any glue
@@YesterdaysTech then why is the PS button of my controller having bad connection with the conductive field? I am soo confused about this, would really appreciate if you gave me your opinion
Firstly, make sure your conductive pad is aligned correctly. You can also clean your conductive pad on a white paper, it will leave some black trails on the paper, do this for few times, not more. Once all these steps are done, there's no reason for not working. Let me know if works
@@YesterdaysTech who would have thought a simple cleaning would fix my controller. Thanks man it worked, keep up the good work soo that you can help other people with similar issues
What if i dont have the screwdriver to open it up? What can i use?
I recommend to get the required screwdriver
