    I really love your format. By writing most the words in only Hiragana and not romanji I am able to sound out the words by reading the kana and not cheating and relying on the romanji to facilitate learning. Thus by removing the romanji you are forcing me to learn reading Japanese more efficiently. I am still learning Hiragana but I know most of the kana. So this is very helpful. Next I will learn Katagana and Kanji. This is very exciting. Thank you so much.

      @@JapaneseEveryday It is I who is thankful. Ever since I was a kid, I had this natural, very likely innate love for Japanese culture. As an adult now I want to finally learn Japanese because I love reading Japanese Literature. I have read Sei Shonagon's The Pillow Book, and Murasiki Shikibu's The tale of Genji, Yukio Mishima's works, etc. But I want to read them in Japanese, not English, this way I can enjoy the true abounding richness of its organic force. And the other, equally compelling, reason for me to learn Japanese is because I want to marry a Japanese woman. Hahaha, yes. I will only live once so I may as well do it right so I won't have to relive it in regret. I want to see the Cherry blossoms with my future wife in the twilight sunset. ^.^

    I have a hard time pronouncing ga. It doesn't sound like the english ga. Best way to describe it is nga. And sometimes I hear it as na.

    • @JapaneseEveryday
      @JapaneseEveryday  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Indeed! “ga” is quite difficult to pronounce as there’s no exact equivalent English pronunciation for it.
      Our suggestion is to try listening to the native’s pronunciation often to grasp the sounding pattern. 😊✨

    is it possible to have the kanji listed right to left?

    • @JapaneseEveryday
      @JapaneseEveryday  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment! 😊✨ We're sorry we don't quite get your question. Can you please elaborate more?

    • @joshua.wilbur
      @joshua.wilbur 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i rescind my comment.
      i misunderstood the way language is read in japan. somewhere in my life, i fell under the impression that when reading japanese it was ALWAYS read right-to-left. I did not know it was exclusive to read right-to-left only when the writing is vertical in nature.
      As an artist and a linguist, I noticed the flow of the kanji is from right to left and as a new learner i find it frustrating trying to read and remember the kanji and their elements when im essentially reading each kanji mirrored to its intended original reading orientation. the logic of the kanji is much easier for me to dissect with a right-to-left flow.
      in short... traditional reading is top-to-bottom/left-to-right.
      but,
      in latin oriented countries it is read solely left-to-right. and if we wanted to keep the original 'flow' of the kanji we would need to mirror it.
      I dont think asian countries recognise the difference this might have in learning because once the 'picture' aspect of the kanji is understood and then memorized; it becomes easy to recognize regardless of reading orientation.
      i find it is a disservice to all latin based countries that the standard to learn and read such character based languages are written this way. But i will perservere in my learning! like a monk, i will study and meditate and understand a deeper meaning embedded in each kanji and the history that has been absorbed into each character.
      it was only recently i found out that arabic is read right-to-left and after this discovery i found their script is much more legible and logical! though i personally cannot comprehend their script yet.
      thank you for asking! and thank you for your work! i hope my explanation sufficed to express my feelings!
