  • Grasscutters, or low driven passes are an essential skill you need in your soccer toolbelt. We all learned from a young age how to pass in football with the inside of our foot, which is very consistent and reliable. However, as we improve as footballers, so do the defenders around us. They get older and smarter, faster, and stronger.
    What does this mean? It means that for us we need to pass and move the ball quicker, so we can still break down defenses and score goals. The low driven ping is the perfect passing option for this because it is easier to control than a long ball, but travels far faster than a regular pass.
    However, it is a tough skill to master, so I walk you through the proper low driven passing technique step-by-step in a way that is easy to understand so you can go out and master it yourself!

    Great video! That last detail is so important! I have been struggling for months to create backspin and you mentioned that detail. But could you explain it in a little more detail? Do you still keep your ankle locked when you snap it up? Im not exactly sure how to do that.

      @KreiderAcademy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Of course! So when you snap it, you don’t keep your ankle locked anymore. Having your ankle locked means using your muscles around your shin and calf to keep your ankle stable (or unable to move much)
      So to flick up you have to release your ankle. This needs to happen as your foot is in contact with the ball to provide the backspin and help it slip across the ground!
      So as you hit the ball, it should feel like your point your toes down and then snap up by pulling your toes up as you hit the ball. It’ll take lots of practice, and I believe it’s easier to learn on long pings first, then apply a similar technique to your grasscutters! I hope this helps, let me know if you still have questions!

      @@KreiderAcademy the fact that he's never maintained less than 92% passing accuracy in last 10 years, while pinging long passes with ease, on top of that creating most chances in UCL since then is absolutely mental.

      Unfortunately if the field is flooded, you can’t really train. You either need to wait until it drains or find another field!
