I love seeing how much your style has changed over the years. like the earlier ones were simple but effective and then we come to years like 2020 and it's so much fuller and clearer sounding. my son was born on halloween 2017 and i remember watching the very first one with him when it was released. he was a super cranky baby, and he been crying nonstop that day, and i was sleep deprived and overwhelmed and out my depth, and i turned it on and he calmed RIGHT down and listened and it was an absolute miracle. i just watched this entire compilation with my 5-year-old sitting next to me. he's a lot less cranky these days and still absolutely loves christmas music. patrick says hi, and that rudolph was his favorite.

So last Christmas was supremely shit for me. Covid had me locked up in my room, and I think I ended up crying pretty much all day. The only thing that I remember making me smile around that time was watching Dodie’s ‘21 Christmas video. This year’s on track to be better 🤞, but I just wanted to say that Dodie brought a little light into a real sad time for me.

You are playing with all the possibilities, making creative video's like this, taking us into the process and emotion of your song. You've created a new way, and sometimes it must be hard that that way is different from other artists, but I think that that's what makes you stand out: you are so creative, real, and have a beautiful voice

(TW mentions of death) My childhood dog passed last year on December 22nd, so Christmas was and will be difficult. These song are just festive enough for me to feel like I'm celebrating without forcing it
maybe you could do international christmas songs next (not necessarily in minor) but just in general (dis)cover (hehe) christmas songs from different countries and bring them to your audience - and there would definitely be enough for the next few years
