WHAT IS TRANG AN FAMOUS FOR? WHY VISIT TRANG AN?
- Trang An Landscape Complex is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, many of them partly submerged and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs.
The exceptionally beautiful tower-karst landscape of Trang An is dominated by a spectacular array of forest-mantled limestone rock towers up to 200m high
The deep green tropical rainforests, grey limestone rocks and cliffs, blue-green waters and the brilliant blue of the sky, and areas of human use including the green and yellow rice paddies & the famous KONG: SKULL ISLAND movie was shot here which you will explore on the 2nd part of this vlog.

I can't wait to experience this place that sounds just out of the world, how do I get to explore?
There are 3 routes for you to choose from, each route takes around 2.5 hours to 3 hours. In general, each of these will take you through many caves, where you will see many temples and palaces. Best to visit early in the morning. opens at 7am shuts at 4 pm.
Option One (3-4 hours): It takes you in a circular route to: Trinh Temple, Dark Cave, Light Cave, Nau Ruou Cave, Tran Temple, Ba Giot Cave, Seo Cave, Son Duong Cave, Khong Palace, Bao Hieu Pagoda, Tran Cave and Quy Hau Cave.
Option Two (2-3 hours): Visits Lam Cave, Cao Son Temple, Vang Cave, Thanh Truot Cave, Dia Linh Mountain, Suoi Tien Temple, Dai Cave and Hanh Cung Vu Lam (Vu Lam Royal Step-over Place). This is one of two tours that go to where scenes from the movie Kong: Skull Island were filmed.
Option Three - new addition (3 hours): This tour explores a large cave and a location from Kong: Skull Island. You go to Trinh Temple, Dot Cave, May (Cloud) Cave, Suoi Tien Temple, Dia Linh Mountain, Dai Cave and Hanh Cung Vu Lam (Vu Lam Royal Step-over Place).
HOW TO REACH TRANG AN, NINH BINH?
- The fastest way to get from Hanoi to Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex is to taxi which takes 1h 5m and costs $60 - $75. The advantage of taking a taxi is that they can drop you off directly at your accommodation in Ninh Binh. If you want a lower price you can download some booking taxi apps on your phone like Grab Hanoi to Ninh Binh.
Is there a direct bus between Hanoi and Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex?
- Yes, there is a direct bus departing from Rạp Xiếc Trung Ương and arriving at Ninh Binh - Trang an wharf.
HOW TO GO BY TRAIN?
- There are 6 trains running daily for you to choose from, with departure times ranging from 6:00 AM to 8:10 PM. A journey by train from Hanoi to Ninh Binh takes approximately 2.5 hours, and you can enjoy the stunning scenery along the way. Taking a train is considered the cheapest option for tourists.
If you are planning to take a Trang An Tour from Hanoi in the middle of the day, please do not forget to bring umbrellas or hats to protect yourself from the sun or rain. We highly recommend that you should wear the life jacket. It is included in Trang An boat tour ticket.
