  • In this relaxing ASMR maps video I am asking you 40 geography questions on Asia designed to help you sleep. This set is all about Asia, its geography and facts. How well do you think you know Asia? What score will you get? Will you beat me??
This ASMR video contains a male deep voice talking in soft spoken and sometimes in whispers, using a bamboo pointer to trace and asking you quiz questions. I hope you like it!

Hey man, love your vids by the way. Just thought I’d let you know I think it’d be awesome if you did a video looking at countries that no longer exist. Thanks for helping me sleep!

I don't think anyone would mind if you just give your best guess after reading each question :) !

For #8 Philadelphia is a city not a state, but you might have meant Pennsylvania which is the state Philly is in.

I knew the name of the strait thanks to my interest in history - there was a battle there in the early 20th century war between Japan and Russia where Russia was soundly beaten. I'm not really interested in the history of wars so that's basically all I know. 😅 But I vaguely remember it also played a role in the history of Karosta in Liepāja, Latvia (former Russian military port), where I have visited: I think something about a ship from there leaving too late to arrive to the battle in time. So, you know, the way the brain works, I remember this random bit of trivia now. 😅
"Seven wonders of the world" Hah! Who makes the list? Certainly not one of the original seven which I think are the only "official" ones, so it's a rather ambiguous question (even if I knew what they meant).

As for the landlocked countries: You are quite right about the smaller countries. For example, Armenia (had to look it up to remind myself which of the Caucasian countries it was, but I knew one of them was). Or Laos - which also doubles as one of the countries China borders with. 🙂 I think the high number may also be because, as established in a different question, this book considers the Caspian Sea a lake? I don't really have the wherewhittal to count right now, but from a glance at a map, I think that may be the trick.

Google says that Iran is 11% LARGER than Alaska? Excuse me what?!?!

I just checked and it says Alaska is bigger than Iran but smaller than 18 sovereign nations around the world. I.e. if it were a country, it would be the 19th largest on Earth 🌍
