This brings me right back to being a kid, playing this for the first time, my first real game, hearing this and seeing a adventure unfold before me. It’s been so long, where had all the time gone? I can still see that fall from heaven, and the dragon riding in my head right now as if it just happened, angle falls the plains tribe, a fallen kingdom before my eyes. This game inspired a love of math for me with it’s alchemy system and for that I am greatful.
Yeah, time sure does fly by. I remember playing this when I was younger and I played it again years after that with a new copy, because I didn't want to delete my old save as I had a lot of progress on it and completed almost everything, trying to unlock all the vocations after completing the main story, etc. So I made a fresh start and changed things up on the new copy. I love this game so much. It had a huge impact on me, the characters, story and music. It made me very emotional and I sttill feel emotional when I think about it all. Though, I will never love maths as I struggle with numbers a lot and it's very difficult for me. I think I have what's called Discalcula or whatever it's called. xD Still, it's great if it made you love the subject! That makes one of us. Alchemy is very cool too!
@@ReptilianTeaDrinker same! I have two copy’s actually, one is my child hood save and the other is one I play when I want, it also let me do the multiplayer stuff because I have never met in person another person who has played this game!
Koichi Sugiyama's pieces were all so impactful. I know it's been a few years since his passing, but it's still sad. He made amazing music and I'm glad to be here, able to still listen to it and got to experience the wonder that is the DQ series.
I would love to see this game re-made for modern consoles, and in the style of “Dragon Quest XI”. It would be amazing. But please keep the grottoes and maps as a feature and update it. That said, I have a feeling that I would probably get very emotional when this piece comes on in the game. It just holds a really special place for me.
