Thanks for watching and commenting. Polestar are indeed great looking & driving vehicles.
What specifically makes you more of a fan of the 4 over the 3?
I like what Polstar is offering in the ev world! Sharp looking vehicles!
Thanks for watching and commenting. Polestars are indeed some of the best looking EV options.
Thank you for the vid! I am def considering the 4 as a 2nd ev vehicle myself. However I will wait for the pre owned ones and get it at a good discount price
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Pre-owned and leasing are wise choices in the current EV market.
I'm definitely hoping polestar psny will have profitable 2025 that interior looks awesome . I hope we get to see u do test drive or software in actual use .thanks for reviewing 🎉
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Polestar viability is still uncertain and don't see them being profitable in 2025. That said, I will be test driving the P4 as soon as it's available.
Great video as always Uncle Brian and thank you for keeping on top of things in the EV space...
Thanks for watching commenting.
Looking forward to doing more of this in 2025.
Great video review. Have you considered the Lucid Air? It's a fantastic driving experience. You should definitely test drive it if you haven't already .
Thanks for watching, commenting, and recommending the Lucid Air. I haven't driven it, so I may do that. The cost for a non-based model speck may be more than I want to pay, but we'll see.
I absolutely love my Polestar 2 Performance! I have always planned to replace it with the Polestar 4 Performance when my lease expires since I got to see it and ride in it at Polestar Day 2023. I think a great driver's car replacement for a Model S would be a Lucid Air...
Thanks for watching, commenting and sharing your experience. I don't love the look nor the price of the Lucid Air, but I will schedule a test drive to check it out.
Thanks for the great review. I am guessing that the J3400 receptacle can utilize all Tesla SC sites, not limited, as the “NACS to CCS adapter” EVs are, to v4 SC stations.
The Polestar 4s are being delivered with CCS connectors currently.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Polestar and Volvo both have access to almost 18K SC's with an adapter.
Given that this is really more of a lifted hatchback, this really is an upgraded polestar 2 in every aspect.
I'm really interested in Polestar. My only concern is that all the forums talk about how bad/glitchy the software is and the issues people have as a result. Primarily, I've been researching Polestar 3. Hopefully, that gets cleaned up.

Android automotive w/ Google assistant is one of the best infotainment SW options available. That said, initial issues delayed the P3 here in the US, but have been improved. And we're seeing the same with P4 in international markets. It should be well sorted by the time the P4 is available in the US.
No rear window is a dealbreaker for me. I haven’t used a rearview camera that didn’t bother my eyes, so I’d need the option of a mirror. This is $55,000 base model RWD, but I’m guessing 0 to 60 in 6.9 seconds won’t cut it coming out of a model s. Around the same price as the AWD is the Ioniq 5 N. Different kind of car but a driver’s car. Similar to this but a bit more expensive there is the BWM i4 and then jumping way up in price the Porsche Macon EV. That seems like a dream car to me.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
It was a dealbreaker for me initially, but having spent a few days w/ a Cybertruck which also has a digital rearview w/ the tonneaux cover closed, I realized it's something you can adjust to relatively quickly. The P4 long range dual motor does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, so it's quicker than my 100D MS. Ioniq 5N & BMWi4 are good EV's but don't I prefer P4.
Thanks for the review of the P4. How is the XC40 treating you? Hopefully the infotainment is running smoother.
Thanks for watching, commenting, and asking about our XC40R.
We're still struggling with infotainment system resets and other glitches. I suspect they will need to replace the center touchscreen.
@EV_OG Well that sucks. At least it's under warranty. Definitely not the norm. We love ours.
Gotta say I am into the polestar design language. This seems like a good step up from the model S.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'm with you on Polestar design. They are some of the best looking EV's inside and out, and the P4 is the best of the currently available Polestars.
Ive driven Polestar 3 and 4 and they are the best EV:s ive ever driven. Much better build quality and ride handling than Tesla also.
Thanks for watching commenting and sharing your experience witht he P3 & P4. I've only driven the P2, so very much looking forward to driving the P4.
OG, Appreciate your video. If you’re planning to replace your TMS, why not wait for the Polestar 5? I believe it will compete with the Taycan/e-tron GT, Lucid Air, Merc EQS, BMW i5, TMS, etc.? Hopefully it arrives in early 2025.
Thanks for watching, commenting & recommending the P5.
I don't think we'll see the P5 until 2026 or later, and I don't think it will be at a price point I'm looking to spend.
Since you’re looking for more of a drivers car I’m curious if you’ve given the Lucid Air a look?
Being a drivers car is what the Lucid Air is known for but even the lowest trim is more than the P4 so that might be prohibitive.
Interesting. The Lucid Air is a great highway driving, straight line driving car, while the Polestar 2 (which I drive) is a great car for handling and on curves. I expect the Polestar 4 (which I have on order) to drive somewhere between the Polestar 2 and the Lucid Air.
@ Actually the Lucid Air is an unbelievable drivers car for any kind of driving, highway, straight line, curves, etc. I drive a Lucid Air Touring and I live in LA with canyon roads all over the place and it handles them superbly. What used to be the main knock against the Lucid Air was the infotainment software but they’ve really improved it with OTA updates. The ADAS is also subpar compared to some other vehicles. When it comes to driving though, any kind of driving, it’s exceptional.
Thanks for watching commenting and sharing your experiences.
I respect Lucid for having the best EV powertrain tech, driving dynamics, etc. However, the exterior design doesn't move me and the price is more than I'd like to spend. I also don't love the Saudi investment connection...
@@julianevjourney I find the Lucid Air super comfortable, but long, which, for me, impacts the handling. I love driving the Polestar 2 in the canyons. See you on Mulholland Hwy one day!
@@EV_OG Pricing is a bit of a fiction if leasing. A few months back there were some great lease deals for Lucid Air inventory on hand.
