Wow! Thank you for this comprehensive guide and for taking the time to make a Pinterest board! Youre so considerate 🙌 i absolutely love how you decorated this hood, and wow the horizon and sky boxes make a huge difference
OMG I was just about to say "This looks like playing Cities Skylines and Sims at once" and then you mentioned you also play it! No wonder your neighbourhoods look so nice! And, as a European, I have to agree. A city without green is just not it haha (even though there are some cities in my home country where it is hard to find anything green lol). I'm happy I moved to another country and live smack dab in the middle of the forest basically. Also, so nice of you to not just put what you use on Pinterest but also other things people might like
Thank you for making that Pinterest board! It helped me out a tone and I definitely grabbed some things from it. I play City Skylines too so I'm actually excited and up for the challenge of decorating a sims 2 hood like I would in that game.
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I've been struggling to find these sorts of resources and your help is really appreciated! It's so nice to see the Sims 2 community still thriving about 20 years later. Much Love!!!
Wonderful work! Just WOW! The detail I like the most is the new roads. In Europe, we don't have tiled sidewalks like the US or Canada, so I appreciate this little change that turns Veronaville into a more European place.
You are officially my new favorite sims TH-camr! 🎉 This video was so amazing. Thank you for sharing! I've never spent much time decorating in neighborhood view aside from skylines and sky, but I'm inspired to try now!
You did an absolutely stunning job decorating Veronaville! I will definitely check out your Pinterest board. If you don't mind me asking, what part of Europe are you from? Thanks for another great video! 😊
Hopefully some day EA/Maxis make a new expansion for The Sims 2 included in Ultimate Collection, where give fresh and actuality to The Game, features like you have shown. Also, it would be fabulous that Maxis could bring a extrardinary pack of fixes for a lot of unresolved graphics, compatibility and functional bugs. Expanding the Game with patches like in The Sims 4
It sounds like a dream, but they've unfortunately abandoned the game :< They don't even sell it anymore because they can't sell a product that doesn't run properly on modern machines and I suppose they don't think it's worth investing money in fixing it. They're only focused on ts4 DLCs now, which are so broken idk how they have the audacity to charge money for such a broken game...
that looks amazing, i tried to do something similar with the canal before but i couldn't get the terrain to look good, messed it up bad enough i had to switch to a back up lol. I should probably practice on a test neighbourhood instead. Love the map for veronaville though and you made it look amazing. Looking forward to the lot makeovers here
The terrain is very uneven I had to play around with the cheat for w long while until I got it looking even. I think Veronaville is the prettiest looking base game hood, it's stylistically more consistent than the rest and they've decorated it quite a lot. Perhaps I should have just decorated a whole new hood from scratch but oh well xD
Thank you for taking the time to make this video!💕I was wondering if you have a favorite mod for the ‘makeover’ hairstyle versions to modernize the sims a bit, for example I love your version of Brandi Broke😊
I'm glad you found it useful! I get all of my hair default replacements from the sims 2 default database, including Brandi's hair. You can pick and choose your own default replacements from here: sims2defaults.dreamwidth.org/
Thanks for this video, you did a beautiful job of Veronaville! I have to ask though, do you not have issues with pink flashing with all the deco? I have a gaming pc with an RTX 3070 and the second I put some fields and trees in my game throws a tantrum. I would love to have hoods be this detailed 😍
Pink flashing happens for a variety of reasons. The biggest issue for me have always been CAS accessories and thumbnails, not so much hood deco. I had pink flashing on my old laptop, but only if I had other processes running in the background (Chrome, recording software, etc). I recently got a new PC and I haven't experienced any pink flashing yet *crosses fingers
@@Ali-yp3zg that's really weird and like bibi said, i think there's something else that's causing it. i know some TH-camrs only get it when they record or stream, not sure what could be causing it
I recommend visiting the r/sims2help subreddit because they have extensive guides and resources on how to fix the game and make it look and work normally on modern computers
Hmm I suggest first picking a theme and sticking with it, something like alien, western, oasis, Moroccan etc. Each of these have a different aesthetic. Also, deserts usually have vegetation too, things such as shrubs and succulents can be placed all over the map. I think I have pinned a few desert horizons and compatible hood deco in the pinterest board so check those out. And if you don't have ideas abt what to place down I always suggest just flying around on Google maps until you find a town you like a draw inspiration from that :D
I wish my PC would behave in a way so that I could make my neighbourhoods beautiful but unfortunately pink soup is a nightmare for my game and I can’t bear to push it even further 😩
I've downloaded the camera files into my camera folder and allowed them to overwrite but somehow nothing changes in my game. DOes anyone know what to do?
Ohhhh, look at this. I was away from the game for about a decade, so I am still finding stuff I missed.
With such an awesome modding community ts2 will never die :D

Glad you found it helpful! 🧡 Decorating hoods really makes them unique and there's tons of objects out there to create all sorts of different looks.
I love this I’ve just had to start my game fresh ❤ and I’m definitely lacking hood deco
Thank you for watching
Commenting for engagement and to say thank you thank you this is so cool and fun! Well done
Thank you for your support
Stunnnnnning.
You've inspired me to go on a huuuge CC haul for hood deco to decorate my premade hoods with!
I'm glad you enjoy this! Have fun building your hoods!
@@bibipixels I definitely will!
I've watched pretty much all your building videos on your channel, I'm addicted ahah.

This is so nice and helpful!!!! I love creating hoods but I'm so bad at decorating them, can't wait to use that as inspo
I'm glad you found it useful, go and make some awesome looking hoods :D

Riverbossom Hills and Downtown Plz
Can you make video about cas cc? :(
I will make a CAS video in the future, it's on my to-do list!

*RTX
